30/06/2026: I'm in Genoa for reasons I won't go into here. I have dinner at 9 p.m., and I'm craving a good beer and a sandwich. I stumble upon this pub online by pure chance. I reach it from the Gaslini Hospital via a charming pedestrian walkway, and as soon as I enter, I find everything I'm looking for: a beautiful, all-wood pub, lived-in and authentic, not too big but not a tiny hole either. It's July, and I opt for the terrace, which offers that unique atmosphere I've only found in Genoa—a bit rustic but authentic, welcoming and down-to-earth at the same time. I order a burger, fries, and an IPA. The meat and bread are excellent and plentiful... I can't finish the potatoes, so to speak (and I love potatoes). The beer is also good, from famous, sought-after breweries, and the tap is clean (anyone who loves beer knows how important this detail is). I'll be back

30/05/2026: 4 days in Recco, 3 nights at Hotel La Giara 😁 Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly. We had a room with a view of the sea (super beautiful) 👍 The room we had was clean and beautiful. Every morning, a delicious breakfast was ready. 🍽️ We were not bothered at all by the train passing in front of the hotel. 🚉 It is about a 10-minute walk to the town, which we did several times a day. The route from the hotel to the town was super beautiful and a picture-perfect walk every time. The route to the town is very easy and beautiful. You walk past the hotel; two houses further down is a staircase leading out onto a street. If you walk further down that street, with a beautiful view of the sea, you arrive at a small beach and the town. 🏝️ It is a small, quiet, friendly, and beautiful hotel. There are also plenty of parking spaces at the hotel, which are well monitored by cameras. Shall we book there again in the future? Yes, certainly. And we recommend other people take a look if you are looking for a hotel in Recco. Yes, certainly. Thank you for the good service and see you next time.

09/05/2026: Whenever I go to Chiavari, if I can, I go to this ice cream shop and get some gelato. I think it's delicious; it's creamy and flavorful. They also make ice cream cakes and various individual portions. They also offer lunchtime restaurant service with a few dishes. The bar is large and has seating. The staff is friendly.

05/04/2026: A surprise: a very nice place, but what's striking is the great attention to raw materials, with truly high-quality culinary offerings. Excellent for an aperitif, excellent for dinner, excellent for an after-dinner drink.

03/05/2026: After ordering at 9:30 PM, we waited an hour and a half and received nothing. Out of politeness, we weren't even offered an appetizer while we waited, and the bread basket arrived empty, with only packaged breadsticks. We left the table at 11:00 PM without having eaten anything and left. A terrible experience, not recommended.

06/07/2026: What a lucky find this place was. Wandered along from the train station looking for somewhere to eat a light lunch. Stumbled upon this little gem. Two of us ordered the Menu Fisso at €13 each. Primi Pasta of tagliarini al verdure which was the best pasta dish I've ever had. So highly flavoured, rich and light. Definitely a dish made from years of love and attention to cooking. THEN.... came the swordfish and small side salad. Another absolute treat, again tasty and light and perfect for lunch. The espresso that rounded off our meal was great too. Time Up was full of local tradesmen dusted and covered with paint which tells you more than my review. Locals love it. You should too. I'm here on holiday for a few more days and I'm already looking forward to having seconds.

22/06/2026: I'm very sorry to leave this review because I've been a customer for many years, but now the bolón costs €7 each (one automatically thinks the higher the price, the higher the quality)... a mixto barely stained with cheese, burnt and hard chicharrón... (eaten for the expense suffered)

07/03/2026: We've eaten here several times and have always left more than satisfied. The cacio e pepe is excellent, not to mention the carbonara, which is delicious. I personally love their tripe with pecorino cheese and their legendary meatballs. Gregorio is the perfect host with his jokes and contagious charm 😄. And anyway, eating excellent Roman cuisine in Genoa is priceless. Well done 😃
