13/06/2025: Posto incantevole, un angolo di charme avvolti da atmosfera quasi "provenzale"...ma siano ad Albenga! Abbiamo degustato la "Verticale di Parmigiano Reggiano", un'eccezionale selezione di stagionatura partendo da 48 mesi fino a 106 mesi. Abbiamo proseguito con un tagliere di selezionatissimo Prosciutto Crudo di Parma , il tutto accompagnato da un calice Nebbiolo della cantina Costa Caterina. La carta dei vini è di prim'ordine. ...e non andate via senza aver prima concluso con l'Amaro del Re Carciofo!
10/06/2025: Il posto si presenta da sè.. in una piazza bellissima, silenziosa, elegante, tra ulivi e piante curatissime. Il proprietario è gentile e preparatissimo. Abbiamo mangiato degli antipasti deliziosi, primi e secondi altrettanto buoni. La tagliata con asparagi merita una menzione particolare.. la carne si scioglie in bocca ed il sapore è eccellente. Vino brut francese squisito, dolci ottimi.. direi tutto super! Consigliato e personalmente, ritorneremo!

25/06/2025: I only ate the tuna tartare which was good, I should go back to possibly add a star to the food section. I went today for lunch and there were two of us. I don't argue about the price of the dishes even though at lunch with the same quality you can find many places with lower prices for first courses, but 10 euros for a cover charge, 7 euros for 2 coffees and 5 euros for a 75ml bottle of water made me feel a bit bad... honestly I think they are excessive...

31/05/2025: La bellezza e la bontà: questa è la sintesi. Arrivo dalla Repubblica di San Marino con mia moglie e voglio mangiare la cucina del luogo, non quella turistica di tanti luoghi. Piatti eccezionali come i ravioli con patate maggiorana e funghi, maltagliati con verdure, cinghiale. Cameriera gentilissima, prezzi onesti.

12/07/2025: Not much to say, my absolute favorite pizza! Very high quality ingredients, attention to detail... thin and crispy pizza, very digestible. My favorite is the ortolana pizza, with vegetables prepared in-house and not the classic grilled ones that taste bland, with buffalo mozzarella ❤️ All the pizzas are excellent, even the cheese focaccia and the farinata 🥰 must try!

We wanted to take a motorbike excursion inland and stop for dinner, and we opted for this splendid inn called VELEURA.
The location immersed in nature is nothing short of breathtaking, as are the dishes, extremely refined and cared for in the smallest details. We left satisfied and fulfilled! I attach some photographs of the dishes, which were truly exceptional, from the dessert to the truffle, to the very tender fillet. We were treated with great attention by the head waiter and the chef Ruggiero, who deserves every recognition!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.💫. The following day we returned to Cavi and repeated the experience!
I highly recommend everyone to indulge in the pleasure of tasting the cuisine of VELEURA.😋😂

My partner is celiac, they managed the dinner very well, a small misunderstanding with the owner who wasn't very polite and ruined the end of the dinner for me, but the waitress was very kind.

06/07/2025: Good morning, I do not agree with some reviews read even very negative, the pizza Excellent as the service and the friendliness ... it is true that the place is located below street level but it is welcoming and very pleasant even if a little narrow ... I do not agree with those who wrote that there is no air circulation, the place is air conditioned and we were fine. Last note: after 8.00 pm last night there was a queue in the street to get in 😏 ... I recommend !!!
29/06/2025: Burnt focaccia..and that's already bad!!!! It's useless to give the 3 euro discount, it's terrible, in fact the little bit of not burnt that I ate was not well leavened dough! I make pizzas..and believe me that 24 hours of leavening make the difference!

02/06/2025: E’ un locale da consigliare ad Antonino Canavacciulo per le sue “cucine da incubo”! Abbiamo pranzato con dell’ottimo cibo ma purtroppo con disturbo continuo per litigi e urla tra il personale del locale disturbando tutta la clientela. La maleducazione ha avuto il top quando dopo aver pagato il conto l’ho detto alla Signora che con grande educazione mi ha risposto che potevo pranzare presso un’altro ristorante visto che c’è ne sono 4 . No comment
02/06/2025: Ci siamo fermati in questo ristorante che conoscevamo da anni. Purtroppo come ho letto in altre recensioni confermo che il personale crea un clima sgradevole e pertanto annulla tutti gli sforzi fatti dalla cucina per servire ottimi piatti che rimangono tali ma personalmente non vedevo l’ora di andare via. Tra l’altro ci siamo stati in un giorno non particolarmente affollato pertanto immagino che possa essere anche peggio nel fine settimana. Sperando che la situazione migliori auguro buon lavoro in quanto la stagione estiva è solo all’inizio e sarebbe un peccato per tutti coloro che trascorrono un periodo di vacanza cercando la spensieratezza e il relax trovarsi nuovamente immersi nei conflitti della quotidianità

But in this case, please take my word for it, because I've never had seared tuna like this. And if we're talking about first courses, my wife (who tasted my spaghetti with clams) had a reaction similar to Sally in the famous film "When Harry Met Sally": that is, she experienced a profound gastronomic pleasure that she rarely displays. So, if you're passing through Genoa Nervi, please take a moment to appreciate the pleasure of the palate.
P.S. Just as my wife enjoyed my spaghetti, I did the same with her seared tuna; a true delight for the palate.
P.S. I'm happy when I review places like this: they exemplify the unwavering strength of family businesses, where a sense of duty and customer satisfaction come first; everything else comes second.
11/07/2025: Day trip out of town. We're coming from Turin to celebrate our anniversary. Found it on TripAdvisor, which is often a sure thing. We come to the restaurant. Everything is 5 stars. The management and atmosphere are family-friendly. The dishes are truly delicious and fresh, as they say. When the food is excellent, I always use the term... "mouth-filling," meaning I can taste the simple, authentic flavor of every dish. For those who love quality, for example, the spaghetti with clams and bottarga are from Senatori Cappelli (made with ancient grains). What can I say? The hot seafood appetizer (it seemed freshly caught), as well as the grilled tuna, seared as it should be cooked, and what can I say about the fish ravioli with tomato sauce, mussels and shrimp, and the fried anchovies? There's nothing else to say except come and enjoy them. Finally, congratulations on the attentive, friendly, and meticulous service. Finally, I recommend the local after-dinner drinks: Amaro Camatti and Amaro 7 erbe. I don't know what else to add except to tell you... Try it and believe it. If you really want to eat at La Ruota di Nervi, you have to go. My compliments to all the staff.
