01/04/2026: I often go there when I'm in Rieti... a historic place par excellence...
17/03/2026: Business lunch with colleagues. This is one of those places where I, and we, struggle to understand all the super-positive reviews.
The restaurant/Trattoria is family-run, but very disorganized. There's no menu; a lady comes to the table, who I later discover is the only one serving and pointing out, or rather suggesting, what's available. The quality of the food isn't exciting. The wait at the table is long, and the atmosphere is very old-fashioned.
If you ask me, would you go back? All my colleagues unanimously say no. There are much better places in the center of Rieti.

Wine... VINEGAR IS BETTER
The pizza—I had a marinara and my partner a diavola...—was like a giant biscuit with inedible, grainy mozzarella...
After leaving all the wine on the table and 3/4 of the pizza, I think the worst thing was that the owner didn't even ask what the problem was...
I didn't give it a zero because it's not allowed...
This is my first time writing a review, but I just had to give it this one.

14/10/2025: We were there on October 13th. Having read the reviews, I expected good food. Unfortunately, we ordered two very disappointing fisherman's appetizers, some fish crumbs along with sauces.
The shellfish with couscous...chinoa and other tasteless grains...to be rejected.
The frozen and poorly cooked trout fillet...I hate to give this judgment, as both my husband and I are cooks, but it was just...

24/03/2026: A top-notch location for both the hotel and the restaurant, both brand new. A top-notch wine selection.
20/02/2026: I've known the restaurant for many years, where the food is excellent. It was recently and tastefully renovated, as was the hotel. I stayed there for one night. The room and bathroom were spacious and well-appointed. I was captivated by the simple yet elegant atmosphere. The hotel is family-run, and everyone is very friendly. Highly recommended.

01/03/2026: We had dinner last night 27/2/26, I was unfortunately disappointed. We took some appetizers including fried pizzas (very greasy) and patience, but the last supplì served inside were still frozen. I took a gluten-free pizza and I could only consume the edge and the part immediately next to it because the inside of the pizza base was raw. I suppose there was a cooking error, a shame because the correctly cooked part was good. The desserts were good

Everything was delicious: lamb, wild boar, vegetables, delicious home cooking.

05/04/2026: Last time I was very disappointed. I ordered supplì cp and they came with ragù (I'm vegetarian). Another diner ordered a hamburger that arrived raw inside. And to top it all off, on the receipt I found the item "cake cutting €6" because there were 6 of us. I wonder if there were 40 or 50 of us, would I have had to pay 40 or 50 euros more for a cake cutting? What disappointed me the most, however, was the fact that I didn't even receive an apology for the wrong supplì (if I was allergic to something I was DEAD).
04/04/2026: Excellent, the fried gnocchi were amazing. We had the fettuccine alla boscaiola and they were delicious, and what can I say about the pizza... Bbq, bbq, bbq! Even the crust was good, the crust was delicious and the toppings were excellent. The staff were very kind and friendly, and you wait just the right amount of time. We'll definitely be back, highly recommended for lovers of good food.

04/04/2026: Please educate the waitress, even if the owner of the place is her father, on good service - and good service starts with a smile and a greeting- it is that simple. We booked a table for 2 online and arrived 5 minutes early which is good manners but the trattoria was not lit up yet. We were the only two patrons from 1155h to 1259h. Been here many times over the last 10 years and tolerated this sulky treatment. May try other trattoria ... with equally great food minus the sulk!
