19/03/2025: I thought about it before writing this review, a bad evening can happen for those who work in this sector, but looking at the opinions of all the others who have dined in this place it seems to me that the problems I have encountered are normal. Reservation at 9.30 pm, upon arrival the table is there waiting for us on time. I immediately notice that the atmosphere is far from the old glories, a total chaos and very narrow spaces... with great amazement WE ARE NOT ASKED FOR THE GREENPASS (maybe someone has forgotten that we are going through a pandemic) and we find ourselves forced to eat not even a meter away from perfect strangers. Almost immediately afterwards the waiter arrives to take the order. Everything is normal... for now. With great amazement I notice that almost all the customers leave mountains of pieces of pizza on their plates, shortly after, no actually AFTER A LONG TIME, I will discover that it is not a coincidence. We only ordered pizza because we were in a hurry and honestly looking at the prices of the pizzas (except for the Margherita they are almost all above €8 up to €12) and shortly after the waiter comes back warning us that there would be a delay of an hour... reluctantly we accept, but an hour delay can be contemplated without problems. Well the pizzas will arrive at 11.20pm... was it worth it? Absolutely not... the pizza does not have the appearance of a pizza and we also add our splendid pizzas to the mountains of other pizzas left. Regretful we get up to pay the bill and there we meet the owner who asks us if everything went well... what should I answer? The truth, complaining about the delay (I saved the complaints about the lack of control of the green pass and the quality of the pizza) and his response was textual: IT'S NORMALITY IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT THERE ARE 150 OF US INSIDE THIS PLACE AND THE OVEN DOESN'T ALLOW YOU TO BAKE MORE THAN 6-7 PIZZAS... EVEN OTHER PLACES IN ISOLA DEL LIRI DO THIS My dear owner: 1) you crowded 150 people into a place without checking the green passes; 2) yours is the only place in Isola del Liri that has these delays; 3) if your oven has a certain capacity limit, isn't it perhaps the case to accept fewer reservations???; 4) you are asked to inform customers of the wait when they book and not after ordering. Another place in the area that has preferred money to satisfaction AND THE HEALTH OF THE CUSTOMER.

08/03/2025: Very clean place and very nice structure, friendly and helpful staff. The various dishes I chose were all very good including the fried dishes which were delicate. The only flaw is the various types of sauces I took, either decidedly salty or too sweet, but in any case it's worth coming back because it's excellent for everything else 🔝

02/12/2024: Trovato tramite TripAdvisor, ma anche su consiglio del proprietario del B&B di cui eravamo ospiti, siamo stati inizialmente tratti in inganno dalla posizione del lovale, abbastanza isolata e poco illuminata (specie se, come noi, ci si capita a fine novembre). Ma, non appena varcata la soglia, tutto è cambiato. Accoglienza, simpatia, ma soprattutto cibo squisito, fatto in casa dalla cuoca con sapori originali, semplici e squisiti. Due antipasti, due primi, due secondi, due contorni e caffè (con ciambelline al vino offerte dalla casa): totale 40 €. Prezzo basso per porzioni abbondanti. Ottimo, da consigliare. PS: attenzione quando si imposta il navigatore. Alcune persone hanno avuto difficoltà a raggiungere la trattoria impostando un navigatore diverso da Google Maps

08/01/2025: Posto molto carino e accogliente. Personale gentilissimo e professionale. Si possono assaggiare dei piatti tradizionali cucinati in modo che ricordano la cucina della nonna. Presente anche brace a vista dove preparano al momento delle ottime carni. Sicuramente ci torneremo.

04/04/2025: An exceptional typical products shop. Unique cheeses and especially buffalo mozzarella but also typical cold cuts and desserts. There is also the possibility of polystyrene boxes and boxes to take away large quantities... a piece of advice, if possible I would have bought some ice packs to put in the box.

08/04/2025: I have been to this place several times but the last one was the decisive one for never going back. I had tea and they brought me the teapot with a single cup of water in it, counted at a cost of €4, no comment, apple cake with a burnt plastic taste and having pointed this out, luckily they brought me more. My friends went for the savory one and the little pizzas brought for the aperitif were unleavened and raw. Please note that they didn't change them and brought something else. I won't go back there again because the cup of water counted in the half-empty teapot isn't even there. It's water.

28/03/2025: I was there with friends for the first time and the name kaktus didn't make me want to eat well. But then the seafood appetizer for two people was very good, lots of stuff and it never ended I tasted a first course of spaghetti with excellent clams a risotto with sublime scampi cream and last but not least a bomb pizza and the name but it's very good all washed down with some sparkling white wine and a bitter café tiramisu. I won't tell you how much I paid because you don't believe me but not much. And to find fresh fish in the mountain area you need fresh fish like they had it there I will definitely be back and if someone who comes from Latin tells you that the food is good you have to believe it.

11/04/2025: Today after eating I went to the cashier to pay... I was told that they didn't accept payments due to the damaged POS. They apologized saying that they had put a sign at the entrance... that it wasn't their problem. The girl at the checkout with whom I interacted was devoid of any commercial approach and was rude. Strange given that the POS hasn't worked for weeks. I will report it to the competent authorities. Now I understand the owner's 80K SUV parked in front of the entrance.. Even dead I won't go back... and I won't be the only one Until we meet again ..

03/03/2025: Local located in the center of Cassino along Corso della Repubblica. The environment is welcoming with a modern appearance and unique and characteristic furnishing details. The soft lights inside create the right atmosphere of intimacy at the tables. The menu is extensive, ranging from appetizers (fried food) to sandwiches (there are almost 40), from pizzas to Mexican tacos to meat dishes and desserts. There is also a wide choice of beers on tap. The fried foods are very good, they are not greasy and are light and digestible. The sandwiches are truly delicious: very refined in the combinations of ingredients, they are abundant and large to the point that it is better to help yourself with cutlery. The handcrafted desserts are exceptional. Nice and very friendly staff offering fast service.

25/01/2025: It's one of those places you go if you don't feel like making yourself some spaghetti at home, modest cuisine, low price correctly proportionate to the dishes served, 80s vintage place with adequate clientele, possibility of parking outside the place with an anonymous and sparse entrance.

02/02/2025: Servizio, luogo e cibo davvero fantastici, la mia ragazza ha preso un piatto di gnocchetti di patate ed io una tomahawk da 1.2kg, è stato tutto buonissimo, anche l’antipasto di salumi della valle, anche il caffè alla fine era buonissimo! Torneremo sicuramente, consigliatissimo :)
