17/03/2024: La scelta di uno stellato è spesso dettata dal desiderio di vivere un'emozione speciale che, purtroppo, in questa occasione non ci è stata regalata. La piccola sala, seppur piacevole, non ha un carattere ben definito e, in assenza di un guardaroba, il dover poggiare giacche e cappotti su sedie e sgabelli non favorisce un'atmosfera di livello. L'area di accesso è gradevole, mentre la toilette davvero poco curata e dozzinale. Vera nota dolente è stata il servizio. Il menù, in un'apprezzabile scelta di totale abbandono all'estro dello chef, declina brevemente la filosofia del locale, elenca la rosa di ingredienti e propone due percorsi da 5 o 7 portate, con degustazione di 3 o 4 vini, che tuttavia non vengono in nessun modo illustrati neppure nella distribuzione del numero tra antipasti, primi e secondi. Allo stesso modo, pur trattandosi di un menù alla cieca, non viene richiesto nulla su particolari necessità, gusti o allergie. Anche il servizio delle portate, introdotte in maniera sufficiente ma un po' meccanica, non ha sempre un ordine preciso nel rispettare l'arrivo e il genere dei commensali (continuamente appellati "ragazzi" in un tono conviviale e dal volume eccessivo che mal si addice al locale). Il percorso, che non sveleremo nel dettaglio per rispetto alla volontà di sorpresa dello chef, inizia con un benvenuto davvero divertente nel gusto e nelle diverse consistenze. Seguono altri tre antipasti dai sapori fortemente legati al territorio, due molto gradevoli ed uno invece del tutto privo di carattere e spinta. Buoni i due primi, gustoso ma non memorabile il secondo. Dolce discreto ma lontano dal mio gusto. I tre vini proposti in abbinamento (non è presente una carta) sono dei noti, ottimi protagonisti del territorio, una scelta tuttavia scontata quando sarebbe stato più apprezzato un maggiore sforzo di ricerca. Con rammarico, è quindi mancata l'emozione e la speciale cura nel rendere locale e servizio memorabili.

12/02/2024: Cortesi e disponibili, ambienti molto curati abbiamo visitato la cantina e fatto una ottima degustazione. Sicuramente torneremo per provare il ristorante. Grazie, è stata una piacevolissima esperienza.

30/03/2024: Can you be alternative by cooking traditional cuisine? Try it. You enter the restaurant, and on the right you find a lady rolling out the pastry and making ravioli, tortellini, spaghettini. The owner immediately disappoints you: "it's just a show, I'll give you the Rana tortellini", an oblique look. The room is large, a central counter with various things, an open kitchen, the wine list is displayed on a sideboard: take the bottle you want, turn it around in your hands. The lady who follows you tells you "it's good". Almost all Cesanese ("look, the origin is from Affile, not from Piglio"). Ok, let's think about eating. No, he'll take care of it, he's the cook. Fixed menu, they don't even tell you. But if there is an allergic person at the table, be extremely careful. You don't get a second-rate dish, but always a great choice, or something built on the intuition of the moment. So you wait and enjoy. Here is the tradition. There is, but... Tortellini with broth flavored with bay leaves and rosemary (the plants are in front of the window). That pastry you saw, very thin (but not too thin, he says, which must mediate the meeting of the filling with the broth. Sublime. The carpaccio, with a reduction in which each ingredient has its role, plays as a team. Bean soup , onions and baked cabbage; that flavour, that slightly bitter aftertaste. The mixed salads or vegetables, or the intense heart of veal. Here too, every nuance of the reduction, of the cooking, reveals a very sensitive hand, a search for a result that is never taken for granted. Pleasure. Even with dessert. And he who weighs your reactions to each dish, explains the reason for the ingredients, the reason for his choices.

17/03/2024: È sempre un piacere tornare in questo ristorante, non delude mai. Prodotti ottimi, menù di sapori antichi rivisitati con grande maestria, servizio gentile e attento. Complimenti a tutto lo staff.

02/04/2024: It's a perfect restaurant to bring the kids, the service was PERFECT, they were helpful and sweet and I loved our waiter. The appetizer was full of things and delicious, even the first course of ravioli did not disappoint expectations, the fettuccine unfortunately was not al dente (but those are personal tastes). To conclude, GO THERE

01/04/2024: Easter Monday 2024....a pleasant and very welcome discovery.....delicious food, friendly and kind staff, large and tastefully furnished location and owner who even took a photo.... everything perfect...
