Trattoria Il Buongustaio In Fiuggi

17/07/2026: I returned to this restaurant after many years. I had known it when it was still in its previous location and had fond memories of it. Yesterday I returned with a couple of friends, and I must say the experience lived up to my expectations. We started with a charcuterie board, a selection of cheeses, and two focaccias, all excellent. For my second course, I chose a fillet steak with gorgonzola and figs, accompanied by baked potatoes—really delicious. The beer, a Weiss, was also an excellent choice. The restaurant is spacious, has ample parking, and despite a birthday party that made the atmosphere a bit noisy, the service was efficient. Overall, it was a positive experience, and it will definitely be a place I'll gladly return to.

12/07/2026: A nice place, but it needs to mature somewhat, especially when it comes to the food. The dishes are beautifully presented, but the flavors could perhaps be richer, more memorable. My vegetarian appetizer and my grilled vegetable focaccia, for example, were a bit small, with little oil, and the flavors were bland. The sauce on my friends' pizza was a bit bland. The desserts, however, are excellent. This isn't meant to be a negative review; on the contrary, the place has potential to become a 🔝, but right now it's a bit lukewarm, so to speak. The wait staff is very courteous.
