14/08/2025: We were a group of three friends looking for a restaurant in Grottaferrata for dinner. We considered three or four within a 100-meter radius, but none of them were entirely convincing. Finally, we found La Roncola, which had a high rating and was well-regarded by many, and we set off. Since a young woman with us had dietary restrictions, we looked for the menu at the entrance to clear up any doubts, but we couldn't find one. Tired of searching further, however, we requested a table and sat down. After a few minutes, we were asked if we'd like water, which was promptly brought to us. A few more minutes passed, and a waitress came to our table and asked if we were ready to order. We told her we weren't ready yet because no one had brought us menus, and she promptly replied that there were no menus and that she would list the dishes available for that evening: four or five appetizers, four or five first courses, three second courses, and a few side dishes. Puzzled by the lack of a menu but hungry, we considered ordering two or three appetizers to share, but were told we couldn't split the appetizer because it included all the listed courses, and that if we thought it was too much, we could order a single course at most. Puzzled by the refusal, we decided to order just one appetizer anyway (even though we would have ordered more), choosing one main course from the three available, and three side dishes. In short: one water, one appetizer (three meatballs), three strips (200g of grilled meat seasoned with oil and salt, €25 per dish), three side dishes, and one coffee cost us a whopping €100. Since the bill didn't seem fair for what we'd eaten, we pointed out that restaurants are required to display a menu, so they can give customers the option to choose whether or not to order. We were told that if we asked for the menu, we would have it. A truly irritating attitude. To top it all off, we paid part of the bill in cash, and of course, there was no receipt.

02/07/2025: Very intimate restaurant, with a menu of land and sea. We chose in 4 adults all seafood courses, while his girls took a half plate of pasta each. Very kind and helpful waitress, the friendly and present owner, very good food (including raw!!!) We will definitely be back!

18/08/2025: Incredible traffic jam on the highway today, so I decide to exit at Monteporzio Catone! So lucky to find this little place! I think there's only one person working there who did everything! But I assure you, the spaghetti cacio e pepe is dreamy!

03/06/2025: Tornati a distanza di qualche mese, è andata ... abbastanza bene, qualche riserva sugli antipasti. Locale pulitissimo e ben illuminato come sempre, qualche tavolo di troppo all'interno. Per antipasto quattro alici "mbuttunate" (senza infamia e senza lode) ed una pizzella fritta con burrata ed alici (come sopra). A seguire due spaghetti alle vongole, cotti e mantecati bene, buoni. Una bottiglia di Vermentino bello fresco, un'acqua e due amari. Totale, con un piccolo sconto : € 65. Nell'insieme, da uno a dieci : sette. Le potenzialità del locale e dello staff potrebbero far puntare più in alto. Comunque lo consiglio.

18/06/2025: Excellent place to have a quality lunch in the Monteverde district of Rome. The menu has a wide choice. Exceptional first courses, truly delicious eggplant parmigiana and supli' worthy of the name. I highly recommend it

My husband, Stefano, and I have been choosing this magical place for years to celebrate our special events (this time it was my graduation), and every time it's a magical experience. The setting is elegant yet welcoming, with a warm atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at ease. The outdoor garden is immaculately kept, perfect for enjoying the cool air on summer evenings. The cuisine is simply extraordinary for us, with dishes crafted with attention to every detail, using the freshest ingredients and always balanced and original pairings. Each course is a small masterpiece, from the presentation to the flavor. The wine list is extensive and well-researched, with labels that perfectly complement each dish, but we've always trusted the staff's recommendations. The service is always impeccable: kind, attentive, and ready to offer advice without ever being intrusive. We've always felt pampered from start to finish. For us, Il Focarile isn't just a restaurant, but a place we'd love to return to celebrate our special moments. Each visit is a memory to be cherished and repeated.

08/09/2025: A beautiful property surrounded by nature, perfect for those who want to escape the chaos of the city, but above all, just minutes from Magic Land and Magic Splash. I stayed with my family for 3 nights on a half-board basis. The breakfast was plentiful, with delicious homemade desserts, and the dinner was equally delicious, featuring locally sourced produce. Very kind and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

09/07/2025: We just spent a weekend at this property and were pleasantly surprised. For anyone looking to escape the stress of the city, this place is ideal. There are certainly some things that could be improved, but overall, it deserves a 4-star rating. We will definitely be back.

04/08/2025: A delightful place, meticulously maintained, with truly welcoming, kind, courteous, and always available staff. The owners are truly lovely. It feels like eating on the beach with the sea before your eyes, but without the hassle of flying sand: the dining room is just a few meters from the shoreline. An interesting menu with delicious, expertly crafted dishes and a wine selection that seems to have been compiled by a true connoisseur. The prices aren't those of a trattoria, but at a certain level of quality, it's impossible to expect an all-you-can-eat bill. So if you're looking for a place to enjoy a truly wonderful meal, one that will satisfy your senses while you're welcomed, cared for, and almost pampered, this is the place. Definitely worth returning to.

04/08/2025: You can't walk into a bar and hear the owner yelling, screaming, and swearing. Every time I go in for a cigarette, they don't even say hello, they get long faces, it seems like they're doing you a favor. I walk a few meters and go to another bar, at least they say hello, the joke is always there.
