The menu leaves a little to be desired, but you won't go home hungry, as each person is served a whole chicken.

06/08/2025: We sought out La Costa in Bra after seeing another coeliac's positive review on Facebook. What can I say - this was the worst meal ever. Service was slow. I mean painfully slow - after 45 minutes we received our starters. We got replacement cutlery which was dirty. Then waited a further 30 minutes for our main - 2 pizzas. When they arrived my pizza was not gluten free as requested, and my partners pizza came looking so unappetising and inedible. We asked what the issue was - where they went wrong, very basic apology. Paid for the wine and the starter €60 and left hungry. They really need to get their act into gear. I will be contacting the Italian coeliac organisation as they have numerous awards.

09/08/2025: We ate there because we really liked the ambiance of the small courtyard. The restaurant isn't that big (about 8 tables in the courtyard), so it's very cozy, not loud, and not crowded. We had the pasta with arugula pesto and the tagliatelle Bolognese. Both dishes were delicious. The service was very friendly, and we immediately felt at home. The price/performance ratio is absolutely right here. A friendly atmosphere and delicious food. What more could you want? I can recommend it with a clear conscience.

28/07/2025: From the outside, the place isn't very attractive, but inside it's very nice and well-kept. I think it was recently renovated, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. If I have to make a complaint, if a dish on the menu is missing, it's best to let the diners know immediately. Apart from that, the dishes are excellent, well-presented and plentiful. There's also a risotto for one person, which I've never seen before. If you're interested, there's a workers' menu. Being in the center, there's no parking, but it's nearby. I think I'll be back to try some other dishes.

28/07/2025: Un’ottima scoperta a Fumane Ci è stata consigliata questa osteria e possiamo dire di esserne rimasti piacevolmente colpiti. L’accoglienza è stata calorosa, il servizio cordiale e al tempo stesso estremamente professionale. La cucina si è rivelata eccellente, con piatti ben curati e ricchi di sapore. Ottimi anche i vini, scelti e consigliati con competenza. Senza dubbio un posto in cui torneremo volentieri alla nostra prossima visita a Fumane.

20/07/2025: First off the host off this establishment alone is a great reason to go and eat here. All the staff was extremely friendly and humorous. The location is great being right in the middle of the beautiful town of Fumane between the local vineyards. The Osteria is a rather old building packed with Italian flare, even featuring a pet parrot. The food was delicious, I got the tortelloni with burrata and butter sauce and let me tell you the texture and taste of this dish was sublime, with the bread crumbs being the cherry on top. I then got braised Ox cheek, which probably was one of the most tender meats I ate in my life. The atmosphere was great with locals coming to eat here and all in all just having a good time. I certainly want to return to eat here and recommend this Osteria to people looking to taste delicious seasonal Italian cuisine in the heart of Valpolicella.

18/07/2025: A little corner of paradise in the countryside around Isola della Scala. A charming setting with an 18th-century villa as a backdrop. Many people come here for a refreshing break after a bike ride or a walk...but it's also great for finding some peace and quiet after a busy day! I haven't tried the restaurant yet, but I've been for an aperitif or an al fresco breakfast. Sandwiches made with quality cured meats. I just suggest getting some croissants in the morning to accompany the coffee shop's products.

25/07/2025: We went for lunch; the very kind staff helped us choose. We ordered two first courses: mountain gnocchi and tagliolini with duck ragù, followed by wild boar stew. Everything was truly excellent. The pasta was perfectly cooked and with a delicious ragù, the gnocchi with smoked ricotta were delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful with grilled polenta. All this was accompanied by a delicious house red wine. For dessert, a pistachio parfait. The staff was very quick and helpful, and the price was good. They even let us bring a small dog (French bulldog) if you bring your four-legged friend. We discovered this place by accident, but we'll definitely be back!

24/07/2025: Trattoria immersa nella campagna, molto rustica e molto accogliente. Giulia e Ornella sempre con il sorriso! Piatti buoni e abbondanti. La consiglio sia per pranzo che cene, anche per un caffè la mattina. Ma vale la pena farci un salto per assaggiare i piatti cucinati da loro.

26/07/2025: Luogo accogliente come lo sono i proprietari, cibo curato nei minimi dettagli e fatto con amore e cura estrema, vini ottimi e prodotti freschissimi. Consigliatissimo sia per una cena o pranzo in due, sia per un pranzo con amici.

06/09/2025: We were there at lunchtime on a Saturday. All the tables were beautifully set, but no one even noticed us. The family seemed to be eating in the back. However, we saw that the kitchen was dark and no one was cooking, so we left.

17/08/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance and found ourselves in a very charming location, with stone walls and a wooden ceiling, all meticulously maintained. The appetizers were tasty, and the first and second courses were truly delicious, with quality ingredients and unique combinations, such as the trout and berry carpaccio. The honey-baked pork fillet was excellent and incredibly tender. The service was very good, though a little slow on the desserts. Overall, highly recommended.
