26/03/2026: I agree with my previous comments about the prices (which aren't even listed on the receipt because they give you the total) and the menu (which isn't there, so no more allergen listings). The portions were truly meager (a giardiniera for two with 8 small pieces, 4 slices of homemade salami and 4 of speck, a small plate of polenta, a spoonful of vegetables). As I mentioned, I'm allergic to many things, and contamination is always a concern, so if we order two portions, we expect one dish each. For two appetizers (for me it was a single portion, for them it was two combined...), a rib-eye steak, water, a fillet steak (which is too much at 80g), two desserts (one of which was left on the table), three glasses of wine, and coffee, we spent 76 euros. We had problems right from the start, from the nonexistent welcome (we waited 15 minutes at the entrance with the waitresses asking permission to come and go, but no one cared about us), from the allergens that "shouldn't be there," to the portions that were an insult to our intelligence. Our disappointed and dissatisfied faces were obvious, and a few more adjustments would have been appreciated, but even calling a waiter was a feat. Mistakes are human, mockery is not, nor would I expect to pay for a service where the waitresses are almost annoyed by having to serve you. My companion, who actually had to take me out for lunch after this meal, politely brought the whole thing up to the owner's attention, emphasizing that the quality of the meat is not up for discussion, but if you offer vegetables to accompany the main course or sell a fillet of meat, they can at least be called such. Aside from an apology, they didn't seem to mind, but they definitely saw us this time and won't see us again.

15/04/2026: The food was average overall and didn't particularly stand out in terms of taste. Considering the prices, I don't think it was good value for money. Furthermore, it unfortunately didn't live up to the expectations of authentic, good Italian cuisine. Tourist food to satisfy hunger.
12/04/2026: A restaurant in the very center of beautiful Lazise, just steps (literally!) from the lake. Excellent food, meticulously prepared and presented, and generous portions. Extremely welcoming and attentive staff. We ordered fried and grilled fish, which were truly excellent! Prices are in line with the quality of the ingredients, so very fair!

Hotel Due Torri is the definition of excellence. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with impeccable hospitality.
The historic building is stunning, maintaining its classic charm with all the modern comforts.
The breakfast is excellent and the view from the panoramic terrace is one of the best in the city.
Perfect location, just steps from the Arena and Juliet's House. If you are looking for an unforgettable and luxurious stay, this is the right place.

Historic building, impeccable service.
It will be my go-to hotel for future visits to Verona.
The staff takes care of parking my car and returning it upon departure, very convenient.
It also has a spa, which, for logistical reasons, we were unable to visit.
Breakfast is varied and excellent.
I absolutely recommend it 💕

I'm sorry, everything was working, but they lapsed on one important detail. And don't give me the usual alcoholic rhetoric about not drinking water; I hydrate myself to ensure longevity when drinking.

17/04/2026: I've had breakfast and aperitifs at this bar several times and have always been well served.
The counter is very varied, with both savory and sweet products. The display case with delicacies is also very attractive and always full.
Everything is delicious and fresh.
The staff is friendly and the quality/price ratio is good.
There's always plenty of room, although it can be difficult to sit down on weekends.
23/03/2026: I stop by this pastry shop every year for the "Valpolicella Strada del Vino" event. The quality of the products is excellent and the croissants are spectacular. If I can find one flaw, it's the line at the register. We always have breakfast at the counter because there's no seating given the crowds, but then we waste a lot of time waiting in line to pay. It's not a big deal in our case because we're in the area for tourism, but if someone has to go to work, it would be a problem. Perhaps a solution could be to give the staff a wallet and have them pay at the tables. If it weren't for all that chaos in the register line, the atmosphere would be less chaotic. In any case, congratulations on the quality!

14/04/2026: I had an excellent experience at this place. I was looking for places to go in San Giovanni Lupatoto and this restaurant came up. I invited two people, and we had the charcuterie board with a mostarda that I've never tasted so exquisite. The charcuterie was top-notch, with a gorgonzola sauce and others, but I can't help but mention the mustarda again—it was truly special.
We moved on to the pasta: pappardelle, spaghetti, etc. To finish, we had an Amaro Jefferson and a ristretto coffee with a special flavor, like the ones I've had in Verona. Five stars well deserved! I would only suggest improving the price of the charcuterie board; I think it's a bit high, but the products are worth it. Everything else is very reasonably priced. I will return to try other meat dishes.

23/04/2026: Sabato sera: entro nel locale, fila fuori, mi metto in coda. Locale con ALMENO 6 tavoli vuoti (3 da 2, uno da 6 uno da 8): dopo un quarto d'ora chiamo il titolare e gli dico "il locale è mezzo vuoto. Possiamo accomodarci?". Risposta: "aspettiamo un tavolo da 6 e uno da 8". Dopo altri 15 minuti ci fanno accomodare in un tavolo da 2 che già mezz'ora prima era vuoto, glielo faccio notare e la risposta è stata "vuoi fare il mio lavoro?".
10/03/2026: The weekend in Verona gave us some great confirmation, because one of the city's culinary offerings I'd set out to try after reading a few reviews here and there is Tapasotto.
Located in Galleria Pellicciai, the restaurant has a clear identity, halfway between a modern osteria and an international tapas bar. Service is prompt, the staff is knowledgeable, and above all, friendly and cheerful.
Despite the carefully selected selection of excellent cured meats and cheeses, our attention was drawn to the cuisine, which reinterprets the concept of "tapa." This isn't your typical Venetian "cicchetto" spot; here, there's evident technical research in the cooking and pairings.
We started with fried creamed cod with lime. After squeezing lime over these cod spheres, we appreciated the breading, thinner than tissue paper yet fragrant, a breading that, as soon as it breaks, floods the palate with cod. The heat the cod absorbs during frying gives it the consistency of cream, especially since we were told it's whipped with a stand mixer and seed oil; the result is extremely delicate and delightful.
Following the advice of our server, we ordered the castraure salad, with parmesan, mint, and herring caviar. We learned that castraure are the first cut of the artichoke shoot from the Venetian lagoon, but with a flavor and tenderness unheard of in artichokes. Because of the delicate nature of the product, they are sliced very thinly and eaten raw, leaving a slight bitter and ferrous note. The parmesan pairing adds a fatty, savory note, while the mint cleanses the palate, and the herring caviar adds a marine flavor that complements the artichoke. This demonstrates that this dish, like all the others, is a work of art, but this is truly a technical dish.
The next dish, the crispy suckling pig belly, roasted potatoes, and myrtle sauce, showcases the mastery of the cooking process. The belly skin was very thin yet glassy, creating a beautiful interplay of textures with the tender, perfectly fatty meat, thanks in part to the myrtle sauce that cuts through the fatty belly. The roasted potatoes are the perfect side dish.
We continued with grilled calamari, potato mousse, and salsa verde. What's striking is the incredible tenderness of the calamari, complemented by the sweetness of the potato mousse and the salsa verde, which provides the acidic, vegetal element that balances everything out.
Finally, a raw beef dish, rice, nori seaweed, and trout roe. This dish immediately brings to mind the Orient, and to me, Japan, where the first bite is reminiscent of onigiri
due to the presence of rice and nori seaweed. Then comes the trout roe, which has a membrane that's more difficult to break, but once broken, releases a freshwater flavor that contrasts with the fattiness of the meat.
All accompanied by Biancavigna Venetian prosecco.
Because it's a format based on small plates, the bill can quickly add up if you don't keep an eye on the portion size. It works both as a hearty appetizer and as a full dinner, as long as you enjoy sharing dishes.
What more can I say...all the dishes are carefully crafted, perfectly orchestrated, delicious, a workout for the palate, and for those who appreciate it, a real pleasure, just like writing this review, which attempts to convey the technical complexity of each individual bite.
The prices are appropriate to the complexity of the dishes and the quality of the raw materials

We always know the kids are having fun and we can eat in peace thanks to the babysitting service in the playroom. The food is good and high-quality, without being overpriced. The atmosphere is clean and pleasant.
14/03/2026: I come here often and the exact word is TOP. There is a bit of a wait but if you want to eat well it's worth it. It's not easy to find experienced staff these days, but I'll be coming back for life.

We discovered Al Capitan last year, and since we're back in Verona, we can't help but treat ourselves to a truly wonderful dinner curated by Chef Andrea. He and his entire team (young and passionate) know how to welcome guests with kindness and friendliness, immediately creating a great feeling, and then the dishes complete the experience!

17/02/2026: I've been going here for lunch for years and always have a great time.
The staff is always friendly and helpful, the food is excellent, and the prices are reasonable for everything they serve.
The restaurant isn't very big; it has a main dining room, a few tables in the smaller dining room, and a couple of seats outside, ideal for enjoying a break in the fresh air. It's also perfect for a quick meal, ideal if you're a cyclist or just passing through.
In short, an excellent choice for those looking for traditional food, top-notch staff, and a good value.
30/12/2025: I don't feel like giving more, even though I'd heard good things about this place. Unfortunately, I went for Christmas lunch, which, in addition to the incredibly long service, wasn't entirely satisfying from a culinary perspective. Aside from the homemade tortellini in broth, which were excellent, the rest was nothing special. Perhaps they wanted to try new things, but unfortunately, they didn't quite succeed. Add to that the place was too crowded, making it impossible to communicate with others at the table.
