21/05/2025: I don’t know how to begin this review, I am genuinely quite shocked at the meal. This place was mentioned to us by the vineyard hotel as a “more casual option” as opposed to the fine dinning across the road. We thought this would suit us for an easy option and the photos online looked good. There are very few options for food, like 6 things if you exclude the stuff that has been left in the counter all day (we assume). You would expect that means that they would do the few dishes very well… unfortunately the food was okay at best. We witnessed a couple things are really brought hygiene into question - ie staff blowing nose in the middle of all the tables and not washing hands and people eating over our food as it was being brought out to us. It cost €46 for 2 and I am quite downtrodden about the experience. This is NOT a proper restaurant and I would treat it as a bar for food only. The wine was good, as you would expect in a vineyard but not enough to cheer our mood about the meal.

03/05/2025: Un ottimo ristorante soprattutto anche per il rapporto qualità - prezzo. Vi consiglio vivamente la battuta di Daino quando la fanno è spettacolare!! Squisita anche la crostata con confettura di arance :) assolutamente consigliato!!

03/01/2025: Posto meraviglioso, dopo 28 anni io e mio marito siamo ritornati in questo albergo accogliente e confortevole. Con grande piacere ritroviamo la stessa gestione, che tratta i suoi ospiti come persone di famiglia. Il personale è sempre gentile e disponibile e il cibo è rimasto squisito come lo ricordavamo.

02/05/2025: Abbiamo cenato in due, cibo di buona qualità e cucinato bene però veramente troppo caro per un bistrot. Abbiamo anche dato un’occhiata alla carta dei vini ma i prezzi erano proibitivi, molto molto più cari del ristorante di buon livello in cui avevamo cenato la sera prima. Peccato perché il locale è molto carino ma dí sicuro non ci torneremo

21/04/2025: Abbiamo visitato San Gimignano recentemente. Arrivati all'ora di pranzo abbiamo deciso di fermarci in questo locale. Abbiamo mangiatoi i pici e le casarecce ed il tutto accompagnato dai vini consigliati nel menu. Tutto buonissimo. Certo il conto un pò esoso.. una calice di vino 8 euro non è proprio economico. Comunque sei a S.Gimignano e se la qualità c'è va pagata!

08/10/2024: Siamo stati domenica 6 ottobre in questa osteria che benché sia un po' datata offre una splendida vista sulle Crete senesi. Il personale è gentilissimo e i prezzi veramente molto onesti. Forse non c è molta scelta ma trattandosi di un osteria credo che sia prevedibile. Noi siamo stati veramente bene e i tempi di attesa non sono stati neanche lunghi. Lo consiglio.

23/05/2025: The property itself is truly beautiful, with excellent views and a very peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Our room was spacious and comfortable, Restaurant was good. the restaurant staff were also polite and courteous. However, we were disappointed by the service from some of the other staff, particularly at reception. Given that this is a five-star hotel, we expected a higher standard of hospitality. We were traveling with large suitcases and needed assistance getting to and from our room, especially since the property includes several steps. Not only was help not proactively offered, but when we did request assistance, the staff’s response was noticeably cold and unwelcoming. Even when we expressed our thanks for the minimal help we eventually received, the attitude remained dismissive. The staff was especially rude at checkout time, the person at reception during check-in was not rude. For a hotel of this caliber, guest service should be a top priority, and unfortunately, the lack of warmth and professionalism from some of the staff left a negative impression. Also, the bathroom trash was already full when we arrived at the room. The location and beauty surrounding the property more than makes up for the lack of service, however don’t come here expecting a 5-star service.

18/05/2025: A truly extraordinary breakfast experience. This restaurant manages to combine luxury and elegance with a welcoming and familiar atmosphere, a balance that is difficult to find. The buffet is very rich, with a wide selection of fresh and high-quality raw materials, from international breakfast classics to local delicacies. The staff is impeccable, always attentive and courteous, ready to satisfy every request with a genuine smile that makes you feel immediately at ease. The attention to detail, from the layout of the buffet to the presentation of the dishes, reflects the dedication of the staff and the attention that this place reserves for its guests. An ideal place to start the day with class, without giving up the warmth of an authentic welcome. Absolutely recommended!

02/06/2025: The restaurant is ideally located on Piazza del Campo, with a breathtaking view of this iconic Siena square. We had a wonderful time there as a family during our vacation and received a very warm welcome. The staff is warm, helpful, and attentive, which contributes to a pleasant atmosphere. The menu offers classic, well-prepared dishes without any particular pretension. It was tasty, simple, and adequate—perfect for a lunch break with a beautiful view. The prices remain generally affordable, although a little above average, which is understandable given the exceptional location. The only downside: the Spritz is priced at €10, which is significantly higher than the usual prices in the region (often between €3 and €6). This can be surprising, even in a tourist setting. The setting, however, remains the establishment's strong point: dining on the terrace, facing the Piazza, is an experience in itself. A good place to enjoy the place without any unpleasant surprises.

31/05/2025: Special Celiac Menu!!!! Excellent gluten-free pizza! Very friendly staff and terrace overlooking the Piauza del Campo, a feast for the eyes and the stomach.

25/05/2025: The food is delicious from the pasta with meat sauces to the salads/ everything is fresh and tastes great! The fresh juices are also very good. The coffee based drinks less so/ poor coffee quality diluted with water and sugar- not ideal. The bad side is service - the server we got, a tall guy, refused to speak English and I was totally unaccommodating when I asked for a small side salad with just cucumbers and tomatoes. The worse side is the fact that an older guy who seemed to be the owner was giving an employee a hard time/ they were moving the pots with the miniature tree around and the owner was acting angry which is really not good public relationships doing it in front of a terrace full of customers. A bit more manners and consideration would go a long way even though they are located on a high traffic turistic area (which means it will attract tourists either ways).

23/05/2025: The very tall waiter who was serving drinks called me an asshole in Italian for asking for our bill. He had a clear attitude from the start. We were nothing but polite. Totally unnecessary.

25/05/2025: Absolutely excellent value for money, with down-to-earth Italian cuisine. We were there for lunch and were satisfied. Highly recommended. The Italian atmosphere is like a traditional trattoria. Pleasant atmosphere. Very attentive staff.

24/05/2025: Après avoir visité la place del Campo, il faut un peu s’éloigner et vous trouver ce petit restaurant avec que des produits locaux et une cuisine fraîche et bonne. Le service est agréable et les patrons sympathiques ( cuisine et serveur). Raviolis et risotto à goûter , plateau de 5 fromages typiques aussi accompagné de douceur. Une découverte le vino Bruni , un vermentino au verre à 4€ délicieux , j’ai trouvé les bouteilles ensuite …allez y!

11/06/2025: Unfortunately the review is negative even if the place is charming. It really lacks professionalism. Empty mini bar no glasses in the room bathroom without toilet brush television not working and final gem when returning at 10 pm found gate closed we had to climb over the reception to turn on the rooms. Luckily we had not left the keys at the reception because there was no one.
