31/12/2023: Girando per Siena siamo stati incuriositi da tenta gente che faceva la fila fuori questa pizzicheria ed abbiamo deciso anche noi di provarla. Ottima decisione Personale gentilissimo e molto simpatico Prodotti davvero ottimi sia salumi che formaggi non potete non andarci Info importante se decidete di andarci per pranzo non fate molto tardi il pane ( buonissimo) finisce subito

13/12/2023: Pazzesco… le recensioni positive non so se sono reali ma certamente i prezzi sono a dir poco irragionevoli. Ma a prescindere dal “ troppo caro”, anche perché ognuno fa i prezzi che crede.., entriamo e da una piccola porta esce un signore abbottonandosi il camice, ordiniamo due pani a forma di piccolo panettone che il suddetto afferra a mani nude dalla vetrina dove erano esposti, abbiamo pagato e siamo usciti. Totale mancanza di igiene. Non posso disquisire sul sapore di questa specie di pane farcito al prosciutto e formaggio in quanto sono stati immediatamente cestinati.

05/08/2024: Let's start with the positive points: the place. Marvellous view. Postcard terrace on the lake. The service is of a good standard, very friendly staff. It must be said that explaining, or introducing the dishes, could be useful. We ate freshly caught fish... ok but what fish? It's a shame because we could have done better with little. Good quality cuisine although we found some flakes in the fish...not exactly a good experience. Other than that we ate well in a magnificent place

04/07/2024: You pay for the view. Expensive food but very small plates and not very good. Especially the meat was very bad. I would not recommend.

28/07/2024: Provato un prima volta durante il nostro soggiorno a Chianciano, ci siamo trovati benissimo tanto da ritornarci una seconda volta…pizze buonissime veramente, carne fantastica, consigliato

14/07/2024: Personalmente ho provato la struttura situata a Montepulciano, molto accogliente soprattutto d’estate dove c’è la possibilità di tavoli fuori sotto le stelle, cielo permettendo. Il personale si presenta in modo molto cordiale, la qualità del cibo in generale è indiscutibile, buoni sia i primi (consiglio i pici), che la chianina, inoltre anche i piani sono ottimi. Degustare anche il vino rosso locale, ed i dolci rivisitati in stile toscano (come il tiramisù con cantucci e vinsanto). Per una cena di due persone con due calici di vino il prezzo si aggira sui 90€ totali. Si consiglia prenotazione ma attenzione al disguido con l’app TheFork, che erroneamente assicura un 20% di sconto a prescindere, mentre tale scontistica è riservata solo in determinati orari non gestibili dalla proprietà.

26/05/2024: Just beautiful food and wonderful hospitality. Family recipes cooked with love, care and skill. I’ve been a chef all my life and this is the reason we come to Italy and we will be coming back to l’osteria . Mauro is a legend.

16/04/2024: Il borgo e’ notevole, anche il locale e’ carino e il servizio e’ rapido, attento e premuroso. Col cibo purtroppo non ci siamo. I salumi erano anonimi, peraltro proposti come “tagliere” ma sistemati su un piattino. Pecorino alla piastra anche discreto, ma in versione assaggio. Quattro polpette al limone, senza infamia ne’ lode. Dolce da dimenticare, ma fortunatamente era pochissimo. Due calici di vino, il tutto per ottanta euro. Per un locale che, a giudicare del menu, forse non ha neanche una vera cucina. Non ne e’ valsa la pena, e me ne dispiaccio perche pensavo molto meglio.

10/08/2024: We loved our brief stop here for wine tasting! 25 euros for 3 tastings of Brunello, with cheese and crostini. The server was friendly and able to describe the wines to us in English. Maybe best of all is the atmosphere: nice shaded area while we were there, INSIDE the medieval fort!!

29/07/2024: Terrible service and overpriced food. The food is not worthy of the price. I wouldn’t mind paying for quality service and food/drinks however at this place you’re merely paying for sitting next to the piazza.

02/09/2024: A terrace on a nice square in the middle of the medieval village. The cappuccino was good and hot. At 3.50 a bit on the pricey side. There is also the option to have a coffee at the bar. Staff was okay.

02/09/2024: Suggestive view in the church square...Good food but the portion of the pici is a little small...it's a shame given the quality of the dish which is really good!! Prices are a little high but we know that here you also pay for the view and the location Anyway, everything is ok for a totally relaxing lunch break in front of the beauty of this wonderful historical place!

08/08/2024: Upon arrival we had the feeling of being in an idyllic hotel in the middle of the Tuscan countryside, but the hotel leaves a lot to be desired, the room is disappointing, dirty, broken lamps, hard and not at all comfortable middle-age mattresses, the horrible sink. , chipped tiles, rust from the taps and screens, a disaster in the decoration, dirty unpainted walls, without any maintenance or remodeling. Pleasant service in general, slow restaurant service, very slow in serving. The only thing worth it is the nice pool and the good, elaborate food.

26/07/2024: A hotel completely devoid of charm and the Tuscan soul. The pool was fine as well as the breakfast buffet, but it felt like we were in a school cafeteria. The hotel in general felt as if you were in a bathhouse. Everything was tiled and completely devoid of feeling. We had booked a room with a view and got it after a change, so all credit to the staff. Then we moved to another hotel before our reservation expired. Not recommended if you want some Tuscany vibes!!

23/07/2024: If you want to enjoy world class Pici with Ragu al Brunello - you should go here. A quite simple dish yet extraordinary in it's taste, the pure core of delicious Tuscan food. Absolute recommendation, don't let yourself fool by the looks.

30/06/2024: We stopped for a quick lunch, with little appetite due to the heat. The place attracted us for its "old-time" feel, but it really is, it feels like taking a trip back in time, it has remained as it was 40 years ago, even with the TV broadcasting "The Lady in Murder". Service a little slow, our order was taken after that of other guests who arrived after us. The place needs a makeover, the mold on the walls in the room is terrible to look at. Even the management in the kitchen is very homemade, without professional clothing and setup....

17/08/2024: Be careful, reserve this place. I paid for it and the owner didn't answer the phone or show up at the place. A total scam. He didn't return the money either.

25/07/2024: Not recommended. I chose this property for the presence of the swimming pool and booked well in advance. Once I arrived I found no one in the facility, nor had I been contacted through booking or other channels. Luckily a maintenance man coming out of the facility gives me a number to call. The number is answered by an incompetent person who informs me that I have been placed in a different facility, of the same ownership but 5 km away from the first one and without a swimming pool. Obviously no discounts or additional services, payment is made in advance. I don't think we need to add anything else...

02/11/2023: Great experience and food. Nice menu options for every taste. Outdoor terrace. The restaurant got busy around 8pm. Lively Italian atmosphere added to the general nice mood inside. Fully recommend it.

25/08/2023: We had dinner at this pizza restaurant after seeing the various reviews.. we entered at 7.08pm the pizzas arrived after an hour, I could conclude the review here but I would like to point out the following: we had 2 small children we asked to have some breadsticks to be able to "break" the appetite, a gentleman even in an annoyed way replied to me by telling me no. After half an hour of waiting from the moment of ordering, they told me: 3 minutes and the pizzas will arrive... almost 15 minutes have passed. Terrible service, so-so environment without air conditioning, staff to review. The pizza was quite good in my opinion.
