04/03/2026: Buying loose tea is not recommended. The price per 100 grams is 9-10 euros. They didn't weigh it, they just calculated it randomly. Three teaspoons of loose tea cost 28 euros, 40 grams of everything (I weighed it at home; the bags alone weigh about 10 grams). I was basically scammed. It's truly shameful to treat customers like this. I'm speechless. UPDATE. There's no point in you trying to beat around the bush. I didn't look for free goods; in fact, I PAID HARDLY for goods that weren't given to me correctly. The truth is, you can immediately see the tourist who may never return. So, anyone passing through, be careful! There aren't any keyboard warriors here, just people who are dissatisfied with the service and are alerting other users. If the service was correct, they would have apologized for the problem and tried to resolve it instead of accusing and bullying.

07/01/2026: Two first courses with white truffle, each priced at €40. For this price, it would be appropriate to have the truffle served at the table in front of you, but no. Also, the dish was flavored with a truffle cream. For these prices, I'd expect more. Plus, a smile on your face can cover up the various flaws; smile more, it costs nothing.

16/05/2026: The crowds during mealtime were more frequent than I expected. Every dish I ordered today was delicious! I even used the cod sauce to spread on bread and ate it all up.

11/02/2026: Very good waiter, terrible service from the kitchen to eat first course 1 hour and 10 minutes and not even as I ordered

05/08/2026: We arrive for a pizza dinner, and they immediately seat us, without mentioning anything specific about the wait time. After taking our drinks order, only when it comes to ordering pizzas do they inform us that there will be a 20-minute wait. We're not locals, and the evening isn't too hot, so we decide to wait. The 20 minutes become almost an hour! When it comes to paying the bill, not an excuse... but rather €6 (€3 for two) for a non-existent cover charge (we had also asked for bread or focaccia while waiting for our pizzas, but nothing!) A rip-off. The pizza prices aren't exactly popular, and the drinks are also out of the ordinary. I understand that it could be a bad night, even from an organizational standpoint, but this establishment is a classic example of terrible hospitality and how NOT to run a restaurant. I love Marina di Vecchiano, but we won't be returning to this place.

03/05/2026: We stayed 3 nights. The place is very nice but definitely not 4 stars, 3 at most. The pool is nice but lacks cleanliness and finishing touches. There's moss in the grout of the tiles that touch the water, and there's rust in many places. The rooms are the same, nice but lacking in detail: the door glass is broken, the bathroom door handle is missing, and there are screw holes. The water tank is rusty. The restaurant is nice and the food is good, but there are cobwebs everywhere. The staff is friendly and helpful. We won't be returning.

03/05/2026: The location is very beautiful, but everything else is not four-star service. The rooms are spacious but lacking in lighting. The bed is small and the mattress is poor. The room is huge and the TV is small, not to mention the carelessness of the room service staff. The safe is out of batteries upon arrival, the remote control has to be banged to get it to work, the taps are full of limescale. The only positive note is the restaurant staff, who are very kind and helpful. Despite the heavy influx of customers, they were excellent. The spa service should learn from Alto Adige. I'm sorry, but I don't recommend it. Upon leaving, I was practically reprimanded by the reception manager for the review I wrote on Trip Advisor. Instead of checking whether what I had written was true, he clung to excuses, ignoring what I had written. I'm truly sorry because the place is wonderful, but it's not managed to the standard of a four-star hotel. What a shame. On a positive note, the cuisine and the waiting staff are truly top-notch.

30/04/2026: Delicious pizza, especially the light and fluffy crust. The salad and bruschetta were also superb. Unfortunately, despite the great weather in April, the terrace wasn't yet set up with tables and chairs. But the season here doesn't really start until May. The staff speaks Italian and English; for everything else, you just use gestures. 😄😇 It's definitely a great place to stop by the campsite and feel right at home. We ate there three times during our six-day stay with our campervan, enjoying delicious meals at a fair price.

01/06/2026: This is not the same store as shown any more. All the Italian deli & nice touches are gone, replaced by shelves off corner shop / off licence type stuff. They still sell sandwiches but they were the worst food we had in our whole Italy trip. Caprese sandwich had ONE tomato in & two pieces of mozzarella, basically just enough so that from the open edge it looked lime a full sandwich. Shame as it looked a lovely place before

13/05/2026: We arrived blind without knowing the place, we found a warm welcome, good 100% gluten-free food and we didn't even pay much, I highly recommend it.

23/05/2026: Mega-disappointment. Extremely slow service, tiny portions on the children's menu, high prices, mediocre food. Slow, boring, tasteless. I don't recommend it to anyone. The service charge is included in the bill, but there was nothing to pay for. The service is sluggish.

22/05/2026: Visited for lunch. The two- or three-course set menu. The food wasn't great; the pasta was too al dente and tasted like packaged products. The dessert was good. I think the à la carte menu in the evening is better quality and more varied.

20/01/2026: Best hotel for a winter visit. Warm rooms heated with geothermic power. The whole hotel is a cocoon of warmth and comfort no matter what the temperature outside. Breakfasts are simple but with home made nonna's style cakes. Well priced.

02/09/2025: Arrived late at a nearby hotel and Googled this restaurant that is closest and reviewed to serve good food with reasonable price. The seats outside were reserved so we had to sit inside. The waiter doesn't understand English but when I asked about WiFi he gave me their password which I used for translating the menu so we could order. Busy as he was by himself the young waiter was able to graciously serve the sudden crowd from the hotel. The food was the best I had so far halfway this tour from France, Spain and Italy going forward.

31/07/2025: So... When we arrived, the waiter asked if we had a reservation... The restaurant was empty, though... He agreed to set a table for us... We left, and it was still empty... No drinks or wine menu... The waiter didn't know what to serve or the prices... He was barely pleasant... In fact, he was unpleasant... The pasta wasn't great and was too salty... Absolutely no interest.

08/03/2026: Sunlight Park is one of the summer hotspots on the Tuscan coast. A truly beautiful outdoor venue, surrounded by greenery and just steps from the sea, where you can immediately feel the relaxed yet energetic atmosphere. The venue is well-organized, with large spaces, good music, and a crowd always ready to have fun. Evenings here always have a special energy, with lights, DJ sets, and a great desire to be together. A perfect place for those who want to experience a summer night of music, fun, and the unique atmosphere of Tirrenia. 🌴🎶✨

22/03/2026: I stopped in at this restaurant today for an expresso. It wasn't a bar/cafe so they don't serve drinks without a food order. The gentleman saw the disappointment on my face and said, "ok, I'll make you one". He made this Canadian's day. Such kindness was very much appreciated by this lass!

28/02/2026: February 2026: Best pizza in Volterra. Crowded with locals who grew up with pizza. Interesting menu with many, many different interesting pizzas (none with pinepple and/or french fries). Moderate prices, friendly service.

13/07/2026: The owner was very rude and not at all friendly. We ate for two. A first course, an appetizer, a second course, and a side dish, two desserts, 3/4 cup of wine, and a bottle of water cost €67. The selection was limited; three first courses and three second courses were too expensive. I personally wouldn't recommend it. The only downside is the fresh air, which isn't a bad thing these days, but they take full advantage of it.

03/07/2026: At the top of the famous 7km climb of the Quattro Venti, also known as Ciapino, an undisputed destination for all cyclists in the area and beyond, stands this historic family-run trattoria. During the colder months, guests dine in the welcoming interior, furnished in the most classic Tuscan trattoria style. In the warmer months, dining at the outdoor tables is a must, to be inebriated by the pleasant coolness. The common denominator between the two establishments is authentic Tuscan family cooking. Simple, unfussy dishes, expertly executed by the chef. They range from classic mixed antipasti to excellent tordelli with perfectly executed meat ragù, to the tasty rabbit cacciatore, tender, succulent, well-spiced and just the right amount of oil: hats off! !!! The torta della nonna is delicious, even if it's made with sponge cake. The house wine is decent. Service is courteous and fast. Fresh and good food, a perfect combination these days.
