30/10/2025: The position of this restaurant first drew us to it as we wandered around the town. It is stunningly positioned on the ramparts with views to the distant hills and even the sea. Between lunch and dinner it acts as a bar - and there aren't many better places to have a drink. The menu looked interesting, so we came back in the evening and caught a stunning sunset. We also had some excellent food: four different ages of pecorino with local honey and pepper dip, wild boar stew and Tuscan beef washed down with local red wine, all delicious. The service was friendly and relaxed. Highly recommended.

12/08/2025: I simply want to say thank you for the lovely evening. For me, it was an immersion into Tuscan life. No tourist rip-offs. The food is fantastic, with warm service from both the chef and the waitress. The fish was delicious. I hope I can ever get a table again after this review.

04/10/2025: Patrizia and I had dinner at Piropo. We loved the place. The staff was courteous and attentive. We decided to order two pizzas. I must say the pizza I had tonight was truly special. Perfect dough, cooked just right. The mozzarella and other ingredients in my 4 Seasons pizza were plentiful and of high quality. The draft beer was also good. A place where we can talk, without the loud music. We'll be back for lunch or dinner to enjoy one of the many first and second courses on their menu. Piropo is definitely a place worth trying.

16/09/2025: We weren't exactly happy with this restaurant. The pappardelle with wild boar was very pale, the sauce was missing, and the tagliata was just a thin slice of meat, nothing like tagliata. It was a disappointment, I must say.

20/09/2025: A true surprise. I ordered a pizza and the style which was served was unlike any pizza I have had before. However I'm not complaining because it was delicious and the price was very reasonable. If you're in the area then please stop by and try.

06/10/2025: Negative experience. The road leading to the restaurant is impassable and dangerous, full of potholes and with no ditch markings. The food is average-to-low quality in a setting that aims to be rustic and chic, but the result is very poor. Privacy between tables is nonexistent, acoustics are terrible, and hygiene is almost impossible to ask for. The restroom is small, only one on the ground floor (but not a men's/women's room) in a room that seats over 40 people, and there's also a washing machine. Perhaps if a distracted customer gets their laundry dirty, they can use it? The price is completely unreasonable for what they're offering.

09/09/2025: One of the best culinary experiences of my life! The flavors were absolutely exceptional – fresh ingredients, perfectly matched spices, and an incredible atmosphere. What I ate here was definitely the best dish I've ever tried. Italian cuisine at its finest – I recommend it to anyone who wants to experience true Italy on a plate!

07/09/2025: Sat night, and dying to try deep fried stuffed Jalapeño’s. No good as they said we are not frying tonight. What not even half the menu of tapas! The glass of Vermentino was cold and very good, so we ordered the 2slices of large bruschetta, which turned out to be under toasted cheese with 3 tiny half anchovy pieces per slice, the the slices were small, not large! Did not impress us.

03/12/2025: Top of the line!! Bread and butter, no frills. For people who enjoy eating and being in good company. Not for those who are snobbish. People eat here, and very well. You don't have to look at the curtains or the tablecloth. Highly recommended!!

18/09/2025: I've been to Gelateria L'Era Glaciale, and it's always a great experience. Among the many flavors, my favorite is undoubtedly the pistachio: creamy, intense, and truly delicious. I recommend it to everyone because it perfectly showcases the authentic flavor of pistachios, without being too sweet or cloying. The place is welcoming and the staff is always friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. This gelateria is definitely worth a visit!

03/10/2025: What can I say? You might just happen to find a family-run trattoria in the truest sense of the word. I don't know where to begin with my praise. Let's start with the welcome we received, both to us and to our little Golden Retriever, Windofsand, who yells. Then we move on to the simple yet carefully prepared and, above all, excellent dishes. We had tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and truffle and lard. Amazing. As a chef, I compliment the chef at Stambata. Then we moved on to fried porcini mushrooms and local prosciutto with excellent burrata. And finally, the house tiramisu was truly amazing. The owners and staff were truly friendly. As for the price...you have to go and eat to see how much you're spending. Truly fair; the quality, quantity, and price ratio is the winning formula. We'll definitely be back. Oh, and if you haven't figured out, besides the good food, they're animal lovers...this isn't a biased review, but a sincere one. Thanks again, also for the lovely chat after dinner.
