La Castagneta In Scansano

We found this place by accident while driving back from Sicily to Poland. We only stayed one night. It's a wonderful place. A true Tuscan atmosphere. For a moment, we even considered staying another day, but after a three-week vacation, homework called. I highly recommend it. It's a beautiful place, a wonderful restaurant, and the staff are incredibly friendly. It definitely exceeded our expectations. ❤️ Thank you for such a short stay. We left this morning. Simply excellent! We had a huge room at a reasonable price, everyone was friendly, our dog was welcome, and the food in the attached restaurant was good. The breakfast was also decent by Italian standards.

Very friendly service; we had a lovely time there. The attached restaurant is run by the owner, and you can tell he puts a lot of love into his work. We enjoyed it so much that we ate there every evening. Highly recommended.

I found this by chance online while looking for a place to celebrate my birthday, not far from Rome with my daughter! I discovered a corner of paradise in Tuscany! I stayed in the Country Suite with a hot tub and a balcony with a view, wonderful! Surrounded by nature, if you're looking for a place to relax, this is the ideal place, with a pool, spa, the opportunity to walk in the nature, and go horseback riding! The kindness of all the staff, from the reception to the girls in the breakfast room (excellent, wide selection of sweet and savory dishes, in short, for all palates)! The restaurant inside the structure, welcoming, finely furnished, creates a warm, embracing atmosphere. The dishes are of excellent quality, medium-high prices, everyone is kind and professional. The spa is beautiful, especially the hot tub overlooking the hills, something magical! I fell in love with this place! It's also a pet-friendly structure! Thanks to everyone for this wonderful stay! I highly recommend it!

A hotel reminiscent of a sprawling village, with a beautiful view from almost every room. The rooms and, especially, the bathrooms are a bit spartan. The breakfasts are generous and varied. Very convenient for the Saturnia hot springs.

A large property immersed in the green Tuscan countryside, ideal for a few relaxing days. There are large outdoor common areas, with tables and well-kept gardens. The rooms are rather simple, perhaps with room for improvement for a property of this caliber...but they are suited to the rural setting. There is a very nice pool area, with loungers and umbrellas (watch out for horseflies!). Breakfast with a wide selection of homemade products, truly excellent! The restaurant's cuisine...truly fabulous, top-notch meat!!! We were also welcomed by a very sweet cat, named Miagolina...with lots of cuddles and purrs!!! 😺

We just had dinner at the restaurant, without staying overnight or anything else. But the food was excellent.

Beautiful location, actually very beautiful!! Good and friendly service! I was disappointed with the restaurant's offerings; the food sold was not worth the price paid for dinner!! I wouldn't go back to eat there, and then the potatoes, no thanks!
