27/07/2026: We elected a different restaurant, but it was full as was our 2nd choice, it was very busy on Friday night and we underestimated business. This is slightly off main area and it was only half full. I think they are making a mistake by have the 'courtyard' covered with straw walls, so you cannot see in or out. It is not very inviting. Anyway, about the food, we just had a main (secondi) with some side dishes. Two had the calamari, which were nice, and my daughter had the mixed cold sea starter. A lovely looking dish that she enjoyed. I had a steak (Vitellone) which was very disappointing. Not sure how they were able to serve that so quickly and it was tepid as well. Bit tasteless and it did not look appetising with a handful of rocket and grated Grana on top. Have to give a shout-out for the chips (or fries), they were very nice! I have a house red, which was atrocious, very flat and acidic. My daughter had the house white, which was very nice. The service was friendly and very attentive.

21/07/2026: It's a great place, we've been there several times and it has never disappointed us. It has a very beautiful and cozy terrace, everyone is very friendly, and the food was delicious. I couldn't say a single negative thing about this place. I highly recommend it to everyone!

29/06/2026: What can I say... The photos on the maps look good, but upon first glance, upon entering the restaurant, it seems like a low-end restaurant, with poor hygiene... service is haphazard, from the waitress calling the pizza chef from the kitchen to tell him to make pizza for us, to a menu made up of separate sheets of paper... the PIZZA? Raw, pale, with ingredients taken from who knows where and of poor quality, the dried rosemary from a supermarket jar, the chicken steak? WHITE chicken, charred from the grill, help! Save yourselves while you can. For me, it's a no! Service like this is unacceptable in Italy.

18/12/2025: One of the best meals we had in Italy served and cooked by one of the best couples we’ve ever met in our life. Roberto and Antonia were so kind and caring when we rudely showed up pretty close to closing time. They gave us an amazing seafood gnocchi that was so fresh and filling and shared some of the evening with us. It was truly an unforgettable night with an unforgettable view.

17/10/2025: Gavorrano, a most beautiful mountain village in Toscanu Italy and the must visit small family restaurant. The most friendly and joyful host and wonderful cookery by his wife. A joyful evening mid October 2025.

01/06/2026: The staff is rude; a waiter should be welcoming and friendly, not put off by the desire to sit in their restaurant. The food is average to poor quality, regardless of price. I don't recommend it. There are much better places in Castiglione.

15/03/2026: An excellent option for a seafood lunch. The pink shrimp tartare and gnocchi with octopus ragù are recommended.

24/07/2026: Although the atmosphere is quite inviting, the space doesn't match the staff that represents it. The process is a bit confusing, starting with check-in at the hotel reception and ending with payment at that same counter, so why not pay at the restaurant itself? You wouldn't expect to be listening to what you ate 2 minutes earlier at the reception to confirm whether the bill is correct or not. Still, the hotel staff were impeccable, very cheerful and super helpful. Unfortunately, the staff experience didn't continue in the restaurant. Despite prior notice that a group would be arriving, the staff asked us to wait approximately 20 minutes for them to prepare our table, even though the restaurant was at best 30% full. The rest of the service, while friendly, wasn't attentive. Not all employees could communicate with customers, so we had to wait for a specific employee to come. The experience itself was unpleasant due to the waiting time. The food doesn't justify its price, which is a shame that this is the final assessment in such a pleasant space.

26/05/2026: A lovely terrace restaurant with a hotel. We came from out of town and received excellent service – very attentive and "dog-friendly" :) Our food was outstanding! We'd love to come back.

04/06/2026: We've been going here for years. Friendly service and good food at a reasonable price. We recommend the paccheri with seafood ragù; spaghetti with clams and bottarga; and fried artichokes and anchovies. The pizzas and "missili" are also good.

24/05/2026: Memories of the past: you go there and it feels like you're in an Irish pub, no need to say anything else... Set up like a real pub with various beer posters and advertisements.... 6 types of beers, from blonde double malt to blonde red weisse IPA to Guinness..... Sandwiches plus a few choices of steak.... You can enjoy a nice beer with a sandwich while your favorite team plays in the background. The owner is very nice, and a plus is that he's also a Roma fan..... I hope to visit a nice, original pub. Here you're pampered by the history of the place, as you say 13 Gobbi, at least 98% of the Grosseto area has eaten or drunk here.... Last night, 11 of us went to the 13 Gobbi restaurant to watch the Roma game, and we can say we truly had a fantastic evening. The place is located in the historic center of Grosseto and has a very special, warm, and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for both a quiet dinner and an evening with friends watching a game. As soon as we entered, we were greeted warmly and quickly seated, despite our large group. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, which is especially pleasant on nice evenings. Furthermore, there's a beautiful fireplace upstairs, which makes the atmosphere even more quaint and cozy in the winter, giving the feeling of being in a historic yet vibrant and refined place. The service was truly excellent: the staff were quick to take our orders, attentive throughout the evening, and also quick to serve food and drinks without ever creating excessive waits, which is not a given with 11 people at the table and the restaurant packed for the game. We were able to enjoy the evening in complete tranquility, cheering and joking with friends without any worries. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was also very nice, with many fans present but always in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. You can sense the passion and desire to make their customers feel good. It's one of those places where you come for a game or dinner and end up spending the whole evening happily. We'll definitely be back, perhaps even in the winter to enjoy the fireplace. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a historic venue in Grosseto where they can eat well, enjoy company, and truly feel at home.

06/04/2026: Dinner booked for a group of nine friends. After a looong wait (even though we arrived after the agreed-upon time at the owner's suggestion, who apparently thought it was better that way because they weren't well-organized to serve everyone), the sandwiches started arriving... all wrong, either it was another table's order, or the waitress made a complete mix-up. The result: we all ate at different times, but after trial and error, we still managed to all eat, and I must say, the burgers were very good and high-quality (as were the fried foods). The service, however, was unacceptable; the waitress had no idea what sandwich she was bringing, and, at first, almost all of them were wrong. I'll conclude by saying that the bill was completely random, and that considering all the mix-ups, it could have been a bit predictable (we weren't charged for the wrong sandwiches, I think, but the owner still went through a lot of trouble while doing the bill). I'd say it's a bit overpriced considering all the fuss. It must be said, however, that he offered us the bitters and I want to repeat, top sandwiches.

08/12/2025: "Il Fornetto Squalo Charlie" is the epicenter of pizza al taglio on the Argentine peninsula. More than a cliché, it's an institution... 😂 Try it and believe it.

17/06/2026: I'll start by saying I didn't want to write this review, but when we saw the indifference... We told the waitress and waiter that the fried calamari smelled nauseating... The waiter couldn't believe it, but when he smelled it, he was astonished. Like the sesame-crusted tuna steak, it was burnt and stringy. We pointed it out, but there was no clarification on this dish either, as if it were normal, not at all. I'll answer your question: it's not at all jealousy, in fact, the mezzé paccheri were really good. And your indifference and lack of explanation really made us indignant. Anyway, your restaurant was recommended to us; it can happen on a bad day. No.

16/06/2026: I had the pleasure of visiting the restaurant and want to express my appreciation for the excellent service I received. The wait staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The fried food, in particular, was exquisite: crispy, dry, and of excellent quality. The entire service was impeccable, and both the waiters and management welcomed us with a warmth that made us feel at ease. We plan to return in the future.
