We stayed in the Locanda “Il Cacciatore” and had dinner here for two evenings.
The trattoria is the restaurant of the inn, it is located on the first floor, with very basic furnishings.
The lady who serves the tables is friendly and ready for any explanation.
The menu is presented "orally", only at the end do you know how much you are paying, the only discordant note, together with the fact that there is no possibility of paying with the POS (with a warning immediately upon entry, however).
For the rest, the truly homemade pasta, the sauces,
the soups, but the best was a mixed fried dish: rabbit, potatoes and mixed vegetables. Generous portions, good house style.
On the corner, a fireplace that doesn't serve to create an atmosphere, Mr. Siro (over ninety years old!!!) will cook your Florentine steak there.

The Tuscan appetizer, top!
The sauce for the pappardelle with wild boar was good, the pasta is homemade by hand, but I expected it to be tastier.
The meat is exceptional, especially the tagliatelle, which was a Florentine steak cut with herbs and spices, truly truly excellent. Oil from the area.
To conclude, the panna cotta was excellent, not very sweet (better that way) and really good.
I've read reviews that say the restaurant has "too high prices", well, that's not true.
We took 3 first courses, an appetizer, 1,100 g of bone-in Florentine steak, fried rabbit, 1 bottle of wine, water, 3 desserts and we spent €124.
They cut the Florentine for you at the moment, weigh it and ask you if it's ok before cooking it.
The best thing was seeing the father cooking on the grill right there in the dining room like in the old days.
If the pasta had been better it would have been a 5 star.
Not a place for jocks, but for refined palates.

Eccellente cena in un ambiente molto accogliente con il giusto rapporto qualità prezzo.
Ottimi antipasti con un prosciutto crudo strepitoso così come i primi e la tagliata. Buonissimo l'agnello e carciofi fritto.
Consigliato!

Il fritto come lo faceva la mi' mamma, primi eccellenti vino bono. Uno dei pochi luoghi caratteristici rimasti in Toscana.

Trattoria che frequentiamo da qualche anno. Cibo OTTIMO consiglio di saltare antipasti e a malincuore il primo passando direttamente alla ciccia e il fritto FAVOLOSI!!!! CONSIGLIO VIVAMENTE. PRENOTARE È CONSIGLIATO.
