28/02/2026: A single room that was supposed to be included in the AMMI interregional congress became the subject of discussion. At the time of payment, the promotional code magically disappeared, and from €110, as agreed, including the tourist tax, we went up to €168! When I asked for an explanation, the response was formally polite, but decidedly closed to any possibility. Note that the single room was described as a deluxe triple, so much so that I thought there was a misunderstanding. But no... it was all true... this is the grand Hotel Baglioni: small room, even smaller bathroom, outdated faucets, shower in the tub... but would you have ever imagined that you had to climb over the tub and there wasn't even a handle? There was, however, a strange, persistent "smell" of sewerage! What can I say? Is the grand Hotel Baglioni worth recommending? The choice is yours.

28/02/2026: Review – Grand Hotel Baglioni I stayed at this hotel for an interregional conference organized by AMMI, which had an official agreement with the hotel that included a discounted rate and breakfast. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely negative, especially due to the complete lack of assistance and flexibility in managing my reservation. On Sundays, the hotel does not provide any telephone information (only voicemail). When searching online, I found a contact that appeared to be linked to the hotel, but it turned out to be an intermediary (Expedia). Before confirming, I tried contacting the hotel to verify the correct booking procedure and the application of the agreement, but was unable to speak to anyone. I therefore booked through Expedia, specifying the request for the AMMI agreement in the notes. Payment was requested immediately. Only later did I discover that: the agreement had not been applied; breakfast (€25 per person) was not included; There was no way to recover even the benefit of breakfast, not even for one of the two people in the room. I contacted the hotel directly the following day asking for at least a partial solution. They told me that nothing could be done. The conference organizer also interceded, but to no avail. At reception, I again asked for a modicum of flexibility, at least to guarantee breakfast for one of the two guests, considering it was an official agreement tied to the event hosted by the city. Again, the response was a flat refusal. To make things even more frustrating, I later discovered that another conference attendee had stayed at the same hotel, paying €152 for a significantly larger room (living area, TV, king-size bed, walk-in closet, terrace with garden), while I had paid €197 for a double on the fourth floor, much smaller and without any benefits included. The feeling was one of opaque management, not very customer-oriented, and lacking any attention to those attending a partner event. I don't question the commercial rules of intermediaries, but in a hotel of this caliber, I would have expected greater availability, clarity, and the ability to find a solution, at least partially. The problem isn't just financial. It's the total lack of willingness to accommodate the customer.

14/02/2026: Disgustingly slow. We waited over 30 minutes for dessert, and when we asked a waiter, he told us there was a mess in the kitchen. So we decided to leave. Another 15 minutes were wasted at the register because they had a cash register issue. The food is very good. The service is pretty much haphazard. If they remember you're there... great. Otherwise, you wait.

17/12/2025: We found this place while trying to escape the madness of the Mercato Centrale. It only has about 3 tables inside and it was really quiet on a Saturday lunch time in December. We had a bottle of wine and 3 bruschette for about €40 (£35). They didn't have a wine list, you just have a look around for what you want. They are all clearly labelled with both the takeaway and the drink in price which is great. The man working there was very reserved, not particularly chatty or helpful, but maybe it was just a slow day. All in all we did enjoy our visit and the wine was my favourite of the ones I had in Florence.

24/10/2025: A truly interesting and typical place in Florence's historic center. Excellent wine bar and excellent platters and snacks. The panigacci are unique and delicious!!! The wine recommendations from Livio del Chiaro, an excellent sommelier, are unsurpassed... definitely worth a try!!!

18/03/2026: Friendly and knowledgeable staff, good and digestible pizza with five-grain pasta, even the dark chocolate cake was delicious.

13/03/2026: The food was delicious, all gluten-free. Service was fairly quick, and the dessert was very good. The only flaw was that the QR code they gave us for the wifi didn't work, but otherwise everything was fine.

03/03/2026: Amazing food- this Tuscan Fusion style is amazing. Thomaso our waiter was very knowledge, does speak English which was helpful. The price for the food you receive is very reasonable, you will not be disappointed.

15/11/2025: From gyros to braised cheek, the menu offers a diverse selection of cuisines, always with a perfect balance of flavors. Finish with a super tempting ricotta and blueberry strudel. A must-try.

10/10/2025: Cavour is a lifesaver! Our hotel’s up the hill (a beautiful property called Podere Benintendi) but Cavour was able to deliver! That, plus the Capricciosa pizza, La Cavour focacce, and Caesar salad were all amazing. Generous toppings, fillings, and size! Thank you! Satisfied customers here 🙏🏽

The service is attentive, fast, and professional: the experience of those who have worked in the industry for many years and know how to dedicate the right amount of attention to their customers is clearly evident. Open for both lunch and dinner, it is a solid local reference point for those seeking something unique and high-quality.

14/03/2026: Returning to a place that holds gastronomic memories is always a gamble against time. With Accadì, that gamble turned out to be a humiliating defeat. Where once one could feel the care and attention of a cuisine respectful of the ingredients, today abandonment reigns. The dishes arrive at the table as epitaphs of a restaurant concept that no longer exists: paltry portions, distracted execution. But the real loss isn't in the lack of technique. Accadì hasn't simply deteriorated: it has transformed into the kind of tourist trap Florence should be ashamed of hosting, one that mistakes location for quality and history for a license to survive. The shame, ultimately, is twofold. It belongs to the customer who claims to have paid for this experience. And it should belong to those, in the kitchens and in management, who allowed a once-respectable name to become synonymous with guaranteed disappointment.

08/03/2026: This restaurant is run by a Japanese chef. The 12 euro lunch set is a great value and delicious! For the main course, I had tripe, which was completely odorless honeycomb tripe with a simple tomato-based seasoning and minimal herbs. I was impressed by the tripe, which I'd never tried in Japan. It also went perfectly with red wine.
