Made special trip there for lunch, and especially for the chicken specialty. Outstanding ,same as everything else about the place, particularly the wait staff. In Lucca now but planning a day trip soon just for lunch. Must persevere to get your booking. Worth a phone call, heavily booked.

Highly recommend this place for everything on its menu, it’s our most hearty meal with warm service crew!!! Love the butter chicken & Florentine steak!!! No much words needed so gotta try for yourself!

Good food. Overpriced. But they are full for both servings so what do I know. The steak was cooked perfectly for us as rare which was verging on blue, but I'm guessing most would want their medium. 1/4 of it was just unedable fat.

You need a reservation to go. It is witty and friendly, but perhaps my expectations were too high; it tasted exactly as I anticipated. It wasn't anything special. The prices are also quite high, so I'll probably go somewhere else.

Of all the restaurants we had booked, this trattoria was the one I was most looking forward to. My companion unfortunately had a stomachache, so I ended up eating alone. 😅 The staff were very friendly and willing to help with any questions, so I felt at ease while dining. My dream of eating butter-fried chicken breast and a carciofi omelette came true. Thank you very much.

I've been coming here for years and yet to have a bad meal.

Very famous and very authentic trattoria in Florence, extremely small and you definitely need a reservation weeks in advance as it’s always fully booked. The place itself is charming and feels very traditional, and I have to say the servers were excellent: friendly, efficient, and very pleasant throughout the meal. However, we found the food a bit overrated compared to the hype. We tried the famous Florentine bistecca and pasta with meat sauce. The steak was good, but honestly nothing exceptional : we’ve had better in Florence for less. The pasta was also a bit underwhelming and the cooking wasn’t perfect. Overall, it’s a nice experience if you want to try a very traditional trattoria atmosphere. But if you only have a couple of days in Florence, I wouldn’t necessarily consider it a must-do given the long wait and the hype around it.
