29/05/2025: Our family was treated so well at B.O.r.G.O. The owner was very helpful with multiple food allergies, and everything came out great. We especially loved the anchovies, hummus sampler, and pork. Mille grazie!

26/05/2025: Very nice everything! We felt welcomed and pampered even if with due discretion. All the dishes were very good, not banal and with something to tell. Wine list not exaggerated but with a nice attention to the territory, a nice selection of Chianti Classico, with some gems.

30/05/2025: Dinner with friends for six tonight. Central restaurant in the lively San Frediano area. Mentioned in the Michelin guides, it intrigued us. When booking, they asked me for my credit card details, to charge the penalty in case we didn't show up without notifying 12 hours before the booking (I didn't like that already). But encouraged by the joyful group I pass over it. Nice place but not out of the ordinary. When booking, the kind waiter informed us that for kitchen reasons it was not possible to order à la carte, making us follow a menu of choice trying to group together more similar dishes. (A single pigeon could not be ordered at least two). So we tried to ADJUST by choosing dishes that were as similar as possible between us. (This is a serious lack of organization in my opinion). The sommelier was very nice and knowledgeable. The prices, considering a menu dictated by the masses, were even too high. There were about ten tables, such poor organization is possible. Good quality.

07/05/2025: One morning, we passed this café by chance and what a surprise! For a few euros, you can start the day with a coffee, a pastry and a good mood thanks to the warm welcome from the manager!

03/05/2025: The Nello restaurant is what we can define as a TRUE RESTAURANT. Managed by attentive and professional young people. Super cuisine with attention to raw materials and presentation. The menu is made up of 4 tasting menus (with plenty of choice) but it is also possible to order à la carte. We chose the fish menu and had a great time. It is not easy to find restaurants with this passion for cooking and with such attention to customers. Well done and........ keep it up. See you soon

06/04/2025: We are visiting from California and have had tons of great Italian food. Stumbled upon this place while wandering around Florence at night and couldn't decide whether we should stay on the western side of the Arno river, or go back to the tourist zone filled with tourist traps and crowds. Found Gusta pizza first (which was on Guy Fieri's Diners Drive Ins and Dives on Food Network), it was super packed with a line wrapping around the corner .... we were super hungry so we passed on that place, and around the corner we found GustaPanino. The ratings were good so we sat down for dinner. The staff were welcoming, funny, spoke great English, and were accommodating and open to our kids and vegetarian dining requests. Burrata toast starter was spot on, bread fresh and perfectly toasted, vegetable sides + salad were generous, and pastas were fresh and handmade. Our kids loved the tortellini and red sauce pasta. We ended up eating everything and licking sauce off our plates. At the end of the meal, the owner asked us to stick around, he shared a shot of limoncello with us and told us that he is co-owner of GustaPizza as well, with his brothers, and in the future we will try to eat at both GustaPizza and GustaPanino! :)

28/03/2025: Terminamos comiendo aquí dos veces durante nuestro mes en Florencia, ambas veces después de visitar el extraordinario crucifijo de Miguel Ángel en Santo Spirito. Gran servicio, comida maravillosa (paninis) , buena ubicación al aire libre en la Piazza. Muy recomendable.

25/05/2025: At Ghevido they are very nice and the pizza is really good, with a super digestible dough. The menu often includes new dishes, and they are always available to change a dish for various food preferences (vegetarians/vegans/intolerant). My boyfriend and I go there often and they now remember our tastes, offering us ad hoc pizzas :) priceless

24/05/2025: What can I say, the pizzas are not the usual pizzas. Quality products and taste combinations. Congratulations indeed. The environment could be improved but with what you eat, it is not noticeable at all. It was the first time I came here with my wife .... It will not be the last.

25/05/2025: My fiancé and I dined here one evening during a two week trip across Tuscany and it was one of our favorite experiences. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and inviting and the experience made all the better by the amazing staff. The woman who helped us, who I believe is the owner, was an absolute delight. We were treated so well and it felt a lot like Sunday family dinner but with better food ;). I would highly recommend dining here and if I ever make my way back to Tuscany I will find my back here for another night.

25/05/2025: This is the restaurant where I had the most delicious food during my 11-night trip to Italy. The concept is Tuscan cuisine. The seafood oil pasta is especially delicious. There are seats inside and outside, so if the weather is nice, it's nice to sit outside.

24/05/2025: Located in the heart of the historic center, this restaurant is the ideal stop for those who want to enjoy an excellent meal just steps away from the main places of interest in Florence. The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, perfect for a break during a visit to the city. We ordered a first course each: I chose tortelli al sugo and they were simply exceptional. Homemade pasta, rich and tasty sauce, truly a dish to remember. As a welcome, we were offered a basket of typical bread accompanied by an excellent extra virgin olive oil of their production — a detail that we greatly appreciated. The meal ended with a homemade apple pie: a real delight. Soft, fragrant and perfectly balanced in flavors, it is absolutely worth trying. An experience that I recommend without hesitation. If I return to Florence, this will certainly be one of the first places I want to return to.

05/05/2025: Montefiridolfi è un paesino di tre case messe in croce tra loro nelle campagne tra Firenze e Siena. Nemmeno tanto caratteristico. Se non mi avesse indicato un mio amico questo ristorante non ci sarei mai e poi mai passato e fermato. Pensavo di andare a cena in uno dei soliti ristoranti acchiappa turisti, come ce ne sono tanti e invece mi sbagliavo di brutto. Il proprietario sembra un personaggio scappato da un film di Pieraccioni. Il locale è formato da una stanza ( il fondo di casa come diciamo noi nel fiorentino) dove al massimo massimo ci stanno una ventina di persone. Tutti a gomito a gomito, con mobilio e tavoli comprati ad un mercatino delle pulci o da un rigattiere toscano , non un piatto uguale all’altro ne un bicchiere o una tazzina del caffè simili tra loro. L’arredamento è bellissimo. Arrivi e trovi in tavola due bottiglie di acqua e un fiasco di vino. Molto buono visto la zona. Sembra di cenare nel fondo di nostra Nonna tra amici, come quando facciamo le tavolate con le braciate e si mangia i che c’è c’è. Tutta roba genuina . Pochi piatti. Tutti espressi, e di questi tempi non è poco. Cibo buonissimo. In una recenzione ho visto dare un voto basso per via della confusione , ma se non si vuole la confusione non si va a cenare in locali di questo tipo. Si va all’enoteca Pinchiorri o da Cracco con la filodiffusione di musica da camera. Io ieri sera con locale pieno e un tavolo con tre cani ci sono stato proprio bene. Un antipastone toscano ( verdure grigliate vari tipi di crostini formaggi salumi ecc…) Una fettuccina ai funghi porcini portati direttamente nel padellino uno gnocco con tartufo stratosferico e un arista in crosta con verdure e patate . Il tutto buonissimo . Per finire mix di dolci fatti in casa vin santo grappa e caffe nella moca. Erano due caffe ma con una moca intera a disposizione l’ho bevuto anche io che non lo volevo. Vin santo e grappa offerti. Mentre faceva il conto il proprietario ha guardato il fiasco bevuto a metà e mi ha fatto pagate mezzo fiasco di vino. Prezzi visto le portate e il cibo più che buono . Uno degli ultimi baluardi della ristorazione toscana che resiste al tempo del consumismo sfrenato Da non perdere assolutamente !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

28/05/2025: This morning before leaving beautiful Florence I went to this bakery not far from the Santa Maria Novella station to get some typical products and more. I was served by two very polite and friendly ladies. But let's get to the products. Typical rolls called rosemary with raisins and rosemary very good. Great discovery these rolls are really excellent for breakfast. Ideal for those like me who don't like croissants. Olive baguette for my son very good. Puff pastry rusticini and pizzas... according to my daughter... exceptional. Excellent cantuccini. I still have to try the rice cake and the biscuits with almonds and raisins... the bakery is small but very well stocked. It will certainly be the first stop on our next weekend in Florence.
