03/07/2025: We had a truly beautiful meal at BOrGO last night! Attentive and interactive service that was genuine — no saccharine shows here. The unexpected starter of ratatouille was exceptional, and that’s when I knew we were in for a real treat. House-made sourdough followed. It was also outstanding. All three of us absolutely loved our entrees (two from the menu — don’t sleep on the cappellacci with guinea fowl ragu — and one special) and our shared dessert so much that we booked a reservation for 48 hours later— our last meal before departing Florence.

The one catch: all guests at the table must choose the same appetizer, first, and second course—only the dessert can be selected individually. The dishes are rooted in tradition but feature creative, modern twists. Cocktails lean classic, the service was warm and attentive, and the wine pairings were perfectly on point. One small suggestion: the first course (can’t recall the name) was overwhelmed by tarragon leaves—they gave it an odd, almost soup-like flavor. We ended up pushing them aside.

16/07/2025: Fantastic restaurant. Top-notch service. Every dish is a culinary surprise that never fails to amaze. If you're near Florence, you have to put a visit to Nello on your to-do list! The hostess, Chiara, is also fantastic!

12/07/2025: We were very gladly surprised by this restaurant. We went there because we needed to be near our church where we have booked tickets for a classical music concert. So we were taking our chances with this restaurant because there was no recommendation and we only did it based on Google reviews. The location is relatively close to ponte Veccio and super easy to access walking or with a cab. The process of making a reservation was super easy on Google maps. We were greeted by the chef with some feta and watermelon and also some broccolini with puffed rice, which was fantastic. For dinner my wife had the amberjack, I had the pork fillet and my daughter had the shrimp Tagliolono. Our favorite dishes were the pasta and the pork. Super strong tastes with a lot of personality. I felt the amberjack was a little bit weak, but that is normal because I was having a very potent dish. The waiters were great with all the food intolerances our group had. We will certainly be recommend this place through friends and family who happen to be in Florence.

27/06/2025: Warm atmosphere, great food. I can only recommend it to anyone visiting Tuscany. Many places know how to make good food these days, but you can't buy service and atmosphere. You get everything here.

22/06/2025: A surprise, this place was truly a nice surprise. The name perfectly sums up what you will find in front of you, A room in a house used as a restaurant, a few tables and an excellent selection of Tuscan foods. The staff, together with their colleagues, are very kind and easy-going. You should book in advance given the few but adequate tables available.

07/07/2025: Six of us had dinner to celebrate my mother's birthday during our trip to Tuscany. This place was recommended to us at the nearby campsite, and it truly did not disappoint. The food was excellent, and you could tell it was all homemade and made with love. The waiter served us with passion. They have an extensive wine list. Highly recommended. Make a reservation before going, as it's not very large.

10/07/2025: The food here was delicious. Ate a steak, baked vegetables and pesto gnocchi and all were amazing. The staff were friendly and polite, and I loved that I didn’t get pressured to tip like I have previously at other restaurants. Love that dogs are allowed there too. Overall great experience.

22/06/2025: I would not recommend if you are looking for an authentic Italian meal. The pasta was decent, but not great and the servers struggled to recommend things on the menu. We order the tiramisu and it was not good. We have been in italy for over a month and sadly this was the lowest rated restaurant. In response to the restaurant reply: I absolutely agree that we could have left! I’m sure you can understand after a day of shopping how exhausting that can be after picking a spot. To correct you, we only moved once due to feeling overly hot down in the basement… which in my opinion is completely reasonable. We did share a pasta dish with intent to order more, but decided since we didn’t love the pasta to just play it safe and call it an evening. I completely understand your laws with wine and did not find it a big deal when you declined. We were staying upstairs and noticed the cork to our bottle was taken at the time of opening. Again, this is our opinion as customers of our experience in comparison to many, many restaurants we’ve experienced in the area.

21/06/2025: There is no seating fee, and they cut the ingredients right after you order. So it is completely fresh and basic. Other cheap pizza places use pre-made or canned mushrooms, but this place does not do that. Recommended. However, there are not many seats. If you do it well, you will be on the street. Be sure to order the chili oil~ Bonissimo~~

19/06/2025: The employees are so nice. 💖 Even though I ordered my wrong pizza, they made a new one without paying attention. 😇😇😇😇 My order of Margherita was extremely delicious. Definitely go💖
