04/07/2025: We went to Osteria Bros almost by chance, and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise. The place is simple but well-kept, with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Among the dishes that impressed us the most was the gazpacho with raw shrimp and amberjack: fresh, balanced, with excellent quality ingredients. An appetizer that alone is worth the visit. Kind and attentive service, without being intrusive. Good value for money. We will definitely be back to try other dishes!

27/06/2025: Trattoria La Canfora impressed us across the board! The dishes were absolutely fantastic – full of flavor, lovingly prepared, and simply authentic Italian. The tiramisu was especially heavenly – my new favorite dessert! A big thank you to the entire team and the chef for the warm service, the excellent cuisine, and the pleasant atmosphere. What was especially nice was the child-friendliness! Our son felt completely at home. We felt very welcome and will definitely be back on our next visit!

27/06/2025: Excellent pizzas and fish dishes. Relaxed atmosphere. The only problem is that you have to book in advance because it's often full, but the very friendly staff will do everything they can to find you a seat. Excellent value for money.

04/07/2025: We had lunch for the first time one noon this week. We found a modern building very beautiful architecturally. A very welcoming staff. A very good meal. We will gladly return.

04/07/2025: During my travels along the Sempione state road, to and from Switzerland, a charming place to stop for lunch or dinner is the Osteria del Gallo Nero. The cuisine is delicious, characterized by local, zero-mile products of excellent quality. Last night I stopped for dinner. I shared a platter of cured meats and cheeses from the Ossola valley, absolutely delicious, accompanied by various types of bread, honey and a mandarin compote. To follow I had a deer tartare, seasoned just right, rich and delicate at the same time, superb! Finally, a zabaglione dessert, remarkable and not excessively caloric. The environment is very well-kept and the impeccable service is, at the same time, very friendly and attentive. An experience to do.

24/07/2025: Hotel that also offers restaurant service to non-guests. Pleasant staff, well-kept and clean premises, and satisfactory food quality. The risotto requires a 15-minute wait, but it's worth it; it's perfectly cooked. The bill was reasonable for the menu. PS: The Barbera on tap was delicious.

03/07/2025: If, like me, when you go to the mountains you are looking for nature and simplicity this is the right place. A slightly old-fashioned hotel with minimalist room furnishings but with a fantastic location and very friendly owners. The food is simple but adequate. The quality/price ratio is excellent.

28/06/2025: We came across it by chance, a typical 80s trattoria. As soon as we entered we saw one of the staff who looked like Hangus Young... an absolute legend right away! Well-prepared, generous and very good dishes!!! Great price, it was a wonderful experience! Congratulations!!!! If you happen to be in those parts, definitely stop by!

15/06/2025: Ambiente datato e poco accogliente,più che un ristorante un' osteria alla buona, ordinato pizza quattro stagioni dove avevo chiesto origano , me lo hanno versato in quantità industriale tanto da rendere immangiabile la pizza in quanto amara e al sapore di erba secca.il mio compagno ha ordinato carne e patatine, da bere mezza acqua e mezzo litro di vino della casa senza infamia e senza lode, il tutto per 50 €. A nostro dire un po' troppo caro .Non ci torneremo assolutamente

Fresh ingredients, juicy products, a mixture of flavors that together create the quintessence of flavor, which I savored in a wonderful setting taken live from the movie King Kong. The owner is infectious with her person and what she loves. Thank you, it's definitely not the last time

10/06/2025: What a wonderful discovery. Away from Domodossola, this place is an invitation to relax. The service is impeccable and the products are very good. The dishes are excellent and the cuisine is very affordable. The wine selection is varied and of high quality.

08/06/2025: Hidden in a courtyard with a pretty terrace, but given the crowds, the address is well-known! Excellent pizza as well as the magnificent bruschetta of the day! Dynamic service with a nice wine list in a very nice setting! To try, even if noisy but hey it's popular and it's alive here 😉

21/06/2025: We enjoyed our aperitifs here every evening – right on the lake with a view of Isola Bella – it couldn't be better. The atmosphere is cool, the Italian café is impeccable, and the spritzers are very good and generously mixed! A visit is especially recommended. Happy hour from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. – they offer a generous snack plate. We also had pizza, which was also very good! A clear recommendation; we were there every day and never regretted it! Best bar in Stresa!

22/07/2025: The dishes were generous and delicious. We tried the mixed platter of appetizers, pasta with venison, pasta with porcini mushrooms, polenta, and cheeses. Absolutely everything was delicious! The homemade desserts were delicious. We complimented both the kitchen staff and the service. Everyone was very kind and friendly, especially the owner. The atmosphere was warm and spacious, with a beautiful view of the valley. Highly recommended!

21/07/2025: Beautiful place in the middle of the mountains and greenery, very welcoming and hospitable and above all very relaxing, the food is truly excellent, I highly recommend it.

05/07/2025: This restaurant is just amazing, set in a naturally cool cave, the environment is authentic and rustic. It’s a typically family-run restaurant yet with very high-level cooking skills by chef Francesco. Loved every dish, and you see the chef cooking in front of you in an open kitchen :) The service is attentive and people are genuinely nice. 😊

19/06/2025: We got a table for two without a reservation on a Thursday evening (at 7 p.m.; the restaurant was full a little later). A very pleasant atmosphere, good service despite the busy times, and excellent food. Excellent, modern, upscale Mediterranean cuisine—we would happily eat there again next time we're in Stresa.

02/06/2025: This is clearly not a michelin table. For anyone used to french michelin table (I'm not talking about stars or anything) please don't be fulled. When a client is asking for a non alcoholic drink and the only thing you have to propose is sprits without proposing anything else when the client is not interested, this is not a michelin. The menu is made of paper sheets, decorated with oil drops 👌 this is not a michelin. The quality of the starters, well, there is no balance in the tastes, the salade is thrown in the plate the sauces are too acidic. For the plate, you don't put aluminium paper around a potato in a michelin table plate, nothing is neat, from the poor salad leaves that are lost in the plate, the stuffing is grossly cut, no balance in the tastes. This is really the level of an average braaserie you'll find in france, and that you'll forget about. Let's skip the dessert cause it is of the same level really. I was scared of another tourist trap, well I should have thought twice before going there.

21/07/2025: The property is undoubtedly beautiful—historic charm, elegant grounds, and a premium location. We truly enjoyed the atmosphere and amenities during our stay. Unfortunately, our experience was impacted by the non-functioning air conditioning in our room. Despite calling the reception multiple times and receiving repeated promises that someone would come to fix it, no one showed up and the issue was never resolved. For a hotel of this caliber, we expected much better responsiveness to guest concerns. We hope management addresses this, as everything else about the stay was memorable.

20/07/2025: We spent a Sunday lunch time here and felt as if we were in paradise! Ivan - the most gracious host. We had not booked properly by accident but, despite being fully booked, he accommodated us. The service was impeccable - Ivan was attentive, knowledgeable and funny without being overbearing. The atmosphere was dreamy. Relaxing music on a beautiful veranda with spectacular views of Lake Maggiore. The food really was so delicious- we had three courses on the a la carte menu. Each dish seemed well balanced and imaginative but at the same time like comforting home cooked Italian food! Several/maybe all the dishes were created with local produce. The perfect blend of creativity and comfort. A very local dish in this part of Italy is ‘Vitello tonnato’ (veal with a tuna sauce). Being British - this is a strange combination to us and so I was a little apprehensive to try it but as they say - ‘when in Rome!’. It was so delicious and according to Ivan it really is made the ‘proper’ way at Villa Pizzini’. Suffice to say - top restaurant and made for the most magical afternoon. Can’t wait to return one day. 19/07/2025: Ottima ed interessante esperienza in questo magnifico ristorante, circondato da boschi e pinete ad oltre 1200 mt di altezza.Piatti molto curati,saporiti e magistralmente spiegati dal titolare.Cantina più che soddisfacente.Prezzo un po'alto,ma ne vale la pena.
