03/04/2026: We were there today and it was quite good. Of course, we reserved in advance, as otherwise you'd have to expect a wait (especially over Easter). We were greeted very warmly and shown to our table. The children really enjoyed their pizza, and we were able to easily customize ours with our own toppings. My wife's calzone was also very good, and for me, with my gluten intolerance, the beef fillet on a hot stone with grilled vegetables was the perfect complement. The burrata with prosciutto appetizer was very large and delicious. The furniture is showing its age and could (should) be replaced, as it detracts from the ambiance and doesn't match the quality of the service and food.

01/02/2026: I loved the refuge. The staff was smiling and welcoming. There were four of us, plus our dog. The place is pet-friendly, so you can bring your four-legged friends along without leaving them at home. I'm from Rome but live in London. The polenta with melted Bettelmat Alpe Regina cheese on top was divine. I loved everything about it: the location, the food, the interior. At the entrance, they even have jars of homemade local products, if you want to take a souvenir of the valley.

07/04/2026: Our experience at Il Giardino di Cannero - Ristorante con pizzeria on April 4, 2026, was – as on several previous occasions – once again positive. We come here regularly and, as always, received a warm welcome and friendly service. I would especially like to commend the head waitress: incredibly warm, dedicated, and absolutely professional. Even when the restaurant is full, she always maintains an overview and coordinates her team with aplomb – it's simply noticeable. The food was, as always, good and of a high quality. One minor point of criticism: I had paccheri with seafood – the mussels weren't completely cleaned, so the string was still visible. That was a bit of a shame. Conclusion: A very good restaurant with excellent service and consistently high quality. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (4 out of 5 stars)

07/09/2025: The restaurant is right in front of the waterfall, so the view is beautiful. Everything was delicious, and the ingredients tasted fresh. The menu is very simple, plus the specials of the day. The dishes are plentiful and truly excellent value!

17/09/2025: Great views of the Borromean islands. Comfortable chairs. Friendly, helpful service. Surprisingly good selection of good draught beer: Spaten from Munich, Leffe from Belgium. A stone's throw away from the jetty where you can travel by boat to the islands, Verbania and Stresa.

10/09/2025: Unfortunately, we drove there for nothing, as the opening hours stated that it was open from 9:00 a.m. to midnight. But unfortunately, we found ourselves in front of locked doors and shutters.

13/04/2026: The service was very friendly and attentive. The daily special was inexpensive and tasty, albeit rather simple. However, the food overall was rather bland and, apart from the daily special, quite expensive for its quality. The decor in the back room is a matter of taste, but definitely has a concept. It was quite cold, and since the staff needed the space as a passageway to the dining room, it felt more like a hallway than a pleasant room. The Michelin stars are probably a thing of the past; the last one was awarded seven years ago...

31/03/2026: Having arrived in Omegna late in the evening, especially during the week, we stopped just for dinner. The place was beautiful and the service excellent. The seafood linguine was absolutely delicious; the calamari was a bit dry, but the prawns were very fresh and excellent. I highly recommend it.
