06/01/2025: We went to this place on Saturday 4th January for lunch with 9 people and found the staff friendly and welcoming. Excellent pizza and desserts. Excellent value for money. Recommended we will definitely return.

Per noi seconda esperienza in un mese, e si è confermata l’accoglienza professionale e famigliare Qui si può gustare una cucina casalinga e curata, con piatti tradizionali e alcuni rivisitati. Ottima la carta dei vini e anche le birre artigianali proposte. Si nota una valorizzazione dei prodotti locali. Dispone di un comodo parcheggio. Il bagno pulito ed organizzato di tutto con un attenzione particolare agli ospiti più piccini. Ottimo il rapporto qualità- prezzo. In conclusione: non privarti di una bella esperienza. N.B. Siete a ridosso di 2 laghi Maggiore e Mergozzo.

30/10/2024: We live on the lake and have tried every ice cream parlor - this one is by far the best. The ice cream is sensational – the selection is incredible. We especially recommend the chestnut ice cream, as well as Tiramisu/Zuppa Englese or Amaretto.

16/02/2025: ⭐ 1 Star – Disappointing Experience If you enjoy waiting endlessly for your food, struggling to get a waiter’s attention, and being served the wrong dishes at every stage of your meal, then Il Clandestino might be for you. Unfortunately, for those of us who expect even basic hospitality, it’s an overpriced disaster. Even with an advance reservation. Our dinner took an excruciating 2.5 hours, with each course arriving at a glacial pace. The staff were impossible to flag down, and when the food finally arrived, it was wrong every single time. When we politely pointed this out, instead of an apology, the chef’s response was arrogant and dismissive, telling us that if we wanted “express dining,” there were 120 other restaurants in Stresa to choose from. A baffling attitude for a place charging these prices. Fine dining doesn’t mean slow, inattentive service and inflated prices for the privilege of being ignored. Stresa has plenty of fantastic restaurants—unfortunately, this is not one of them. Note: you will see the owner (chef) has responded below. One cannot add any words to this. His attitude and contempt for customers is self evident in his response. Some people are just better off not being in any service business.

19/03/2025: We celebrated a birthday, there were 17 of us, the friendliness we found is not to be taken for granted: a room all for us, decorated by them, we were both adults and children: the latter after having enjoyed lunch, were entertained by the splendid entertainment present EVERY SUNDAY and included in the price. They had a lot of fun and we enjoyed the excellent lunch: a special mention to the risotto alla parmigiana.. a bomb 🥰 The cuisine is excellent, the place very pleasant, far from the chaos but only 5 minutes from the center of Omegna!! If only there were more places like this!! A thank you to all the staff, especially to the girl (whose name unfortunately I don't remember) because she is truly very kind and helpful!! The birthday cake made by them also deserves a mention.. delicious!! We will definitely be back soon!! Manuela

30/03/2025: Crowded, if you want to try this tavern it is always better to book. Friendly and kind staff and welcoming and typical Neapolitan environment. Beautiful Dehor. Pizza in pó bruciacchiata, typical Neapolitan. I was hoping to eat a typical dish of the place... too bad

21/11/2024: The best sandwiches in the area, from classic to vegetarian. They are all made with fresh local products and with excellent combinations. The owner Luca is nice and kind to me, he treats me very well and is available in case of requests.

19/10/2024: Congratulations to the Manager! Guy... nice, kind and polite! Location..very nice, colorful and particular! Even relaxing...eating an excellent sandwich with live music in the center of Stresa...listening to it from the particular balcony of this place! I'll tell you more.. you can eat a sandwich of any size you want.. And above all you are a stone's throw from the lake...and the pier...special!! Bravo!! Here are photos of the sandwiches.. they are not needed.. they are good.

06/03/2025: Very characteristic, I ate a lot of the fixed price menu, agnolotti with meat sauce, tripe with beans, grilled steak with potatoes, all good and plentiful, next time I will order either just a first course or just a second course because the portions are quite generous

27/02/2025: Hidden in the alleys of the historic center of Cannobio, this welcoming place manages to capture attention by combining traditions, passion and creativity with its dishes. As soon as you enter, you are greeted by a warm and familiar atmosphere, with staff who are always smiling and ready to make you feel at home. The menu offers a selection of typical dishes, prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. As a starter we took the "Valtellinese" bruschetta which was very good and as first courses we took the linguine with clams and the ravioli with lake fish ragout, which were simply delicious. I would recommend booking, especially on weekends.
