05/11/2025: A wonderful experience! Around 1:30 pm, we were found a table for two upstairs with a magnificent view. The sage ravioli were marvelous, and the house pasta al ragù was delicious. I highly recommend it. I highly recommend it!

02/11/2025: There were nine of us and we chose just one dish: a first or second course. The choice was wide and everyone was satisfied. I had prawns, grilled fish, and seafood risotto... I had grilled whitefish, which was good, just a little too salty. Friendly staff

01/02/2026: This old-fashioned osteria exudes warmth and a family feel as soon as you enter. The menu is varied and well-thought out to please all tastes. The wild boar speck was excellent, and the venison with polenta was also very enjoyable. My wife opted for the vegetarian menu, which she said was truly delicious. The prices are fair. The owner is very kind, welcoming you with a smile and even has kind words for our dog. Thank you, and we'll definitely be back.

18/01/2026: The Osteria della Luna piena in Verbania welcomed us on a rainy January evening. The atmosphere is pleasant, rustic yet refined; the lady who served us was welcoming and attentive, carefully explaining the characteristics of the various dishes and offering helpful tips for exploring the area. We tried a lake fish appetizer and the golden lavaret with vegetables. Both dishes were excellent and meticulously prepared; the lavaret in particular was masterfully fried, dry and crispy. The same was true for the roast potatoes, absolutely perfect in texture and flavor. You can tell they're very skilled at cooking. The Bonet was also excellent, served with a generous dollop of cream. A truly positive experience that I recommend to anyone visiting Verbania.

13/01/2026: Lunch for two. A restaurant a little higher up in the mountains with a breathtaking view. Two parmigiana, Chigiale ragù, and polenta. Four glasses of wine and two desserts for about €130. A little pricey, but worth it for the view. Honest food and decent portions.

08/02/2026: We had lunch today for the first time. I have to say everything was excellent, from the appetizer to the first course, the main course with side dish, and the dessert. The service was impeccable, too, with very friendly waiters. If you want to eat well and spend a fair amount, you can't miss Ristorante Del Vecchio Borgo.

04/02/2026: Go for it without hesitation! We had the saffron spaghetti with shrimp and it was absolutely delicious. Especially since the service was impeccable, not to mention perfect! The tiramisu for dessert was also incredible, don't hesitate!

25/01/2026: A truly fantastic post-trek lunch! We booked a table with three dogs and were greeted with great kindness and helpfulness. The staff was always attentive and thoughtful, often stopping by to check on us. The dishes were simply stunning and exquisite, meticulously prepared and rich in flavor. You could taste the passion in every course. A welcoming, pet-friendly restaurant with excellent cuisine.

23/01/2026: A warm and welcoming place, with very helpful and knowledgeable staff. The menu offers a limited selection, but they're carefully crafted and beautifully presented. The cheese and dessert trolleys are amazing. Highly recommended.

10/01/2026: The food and drink were divine, with a special mention for the cheese trolleys: no exotic or imported products, just local cheeses from Biella, Valsesia, and Ossola, with an incredible variety of textures, flavors, and ages.

03/01/2026: I had lunch here with a simple and convenient online reservation in early January. The service was prompt, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I tried several dishes, and overall, the quality was good; however, most of the dishes were overly salty. The only downside that partially detracted from the experience was the restrooms, located outside the main dining room. Given the low temperatures, having to go outside is decidedly inconvenient, especially with small children. Furthermore, the restrooms aren't heated, and changing a baby in temperatures near freezing isn't ideal. If it rains, access to the restrooms becomes even more problematic, making it necessary to bring an umbrella. Overall, I recommend this restaurant, but preferably in the milder seasons. The food is good, although a bit salty. Prices are in line with those of Stresa, around €30 per person.

20/11/2025: We were looking for a place that represented the island in the best way and that's what we got. The ambiance is unique and priceless. All the food for the entire restaurant was prepared by one chef and he prepared incredibly delicious dishes. The waiter who served us deserves the highest rating. We sat on an isolated terrace with 1 table with a romantic view and it was pure enjoyment. We had pasta made from local fish and local fish for the main course. All this with local wine. The way of preparing both the pasta and the fish is unique. Pure enjoyment.

31/12/2025: I gave it 3 stars. Even though the food was good. Why, when did the bill arrive? They charged me. Even the cover charge for two one-year-old girls. 2.50 for 2. Which ate: One plate of pasta for two. And that's it. It's unacceptable and unfair. It's a shame about this omission.

29/12/2025: 6 bruschettas for €40!! It was special bread and tomato!! Negative review because it felt like they were fleecing naive tourists.
