27/03/2026: What can I say about a place run with passion and love by this young couple? The hare ragù is out of this world, the risotto is delicious, the wines are delicate and very good, and the desserts are all excellent. Treat yourself and come and enjoy a meal at Carlo and Michela's.

29/03/2026: A very quiet and elegant restaurant. The dishes are beautiful and high-quality (especially the venison). We had a wonderful evening, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
15/03/2026: We've been to this restaurant for lunch several times and have always enjoyed it. This was our first dinner here: we booked at the last minute and were greeted courteously around 9:00 PM.
The dishes are carefully crafted and refined; you can sense the hard work and attention that goes into every dish. The plin were exceptional, and the boiled meat was simply perfect. This evening truly impressed me: every course completely satisfied me.
It is undoubtedly the best restaurant in Macugnaga, with prices absolutely in line with the quality of the ingredients.

I think they've also lost sight of the value of their money, because I paid €45 (€225 per kg) for the grilled meat, which weighed less than 180g—just a rough estimate—but I'd be happy to be proven wrong by the chef or the owner.
It's a criticism that "perhaps" might be helpful for some reflection.

This isn't the typical experience built for show: here, there's substance, identity, and true quality. A place worth experiencing and, above all, remembering. Truly, well done.
08/04/2026: A charming restaurant in a remote hilltop village, overlooking Lake Orta. I certainly wasn't expecting such a simple and elegant place. A great start to a high-quality lunch with meticulously prepared cuisine featuring traditional dishes expertly prepared. I can't help but mention the spectacular cheese and dessert trolley at the end of the meal, with the option of various tastings. Compliments.
The price is right for the quality offered.

21/04/2026: I've been to this pizzeria several times, and each time is a confirmation. I've tried both the pizza and the other dishes, and everything is always truly delicious.
One dish that won me over is undoubtedly the mussels in pepper sauce: flavorful, plentiful, and a must-try—I highly recommend it!
The portions are generous, the pizza is excellent, and the desserts... simply exceptional, the perfect ending to a truly enjoyable experience.
A big plus is also the staff: always kind, helpful, and attentive to the customer.
Excellent value for money. Highly recommended, I'll definitely be back!

31/03/2026: A touristy place, the food isn't bad, nor particularly good. You can make the cold cuts platter at home with store-bought products. The polenta is good, and the prices are touristy. 🙂 12 euros for half a liter of loose Nebbiolo, perhaps a little expensive.
27/02/2026: Well, what can I say... Perfect in every way! Dogs are welcome, the charcuterie board with fantastic lard, sublime polenta and venison, and to finish, a spectacular apple pie.
The owner is very kind, and the atmosphere is truly beautiful.
