03/05/2026: Located at the entrance to the town, where the local club has always been, it has a dirt parking lot in front of the entrance. Upon entering, a room opens up in front of the bar counter, and immediately to the side, another room used as a restaurant. The decor is bright and simple but comfortable, and the service is quick and courteous. I ordered a Circolo pizza, and it was over a finger's worth of food on both sides, with generous and tasty toppings. Next, I ordered the tiramisu, which is served in a Bormioli Rocco jar. A portion good for two, it's very tasty. The only thing I would change is the coffee. From the menu, I noticed they also serve business lunches during the week, and the prices are reasonable. The prices for the pizzas are absolutely fair; the only downside is the €2 cover charge, as they use paper napkins and a paper placemat. I think I'll be back to try their fried fish, which I saw in the dining room and looked great.

27/12/2025: This restaurant was our home for 4 hours!!! The food and wine were honest and absolutely delicious. The service was warm and caring. The rabbit and cavallo were definitely the family favorites. Plan to come early before the sun sets to thoroughly enjoy your summer evening.

18/03/2026: We've known and frequented it for years. First and foremost, I find it to be in an enchanting location with a breathtaking view. The place is rustic, welcoming, and exudes history and simplicity, with beautiful wooden furnishings and mountain memories. I find the owner's service almost always extremely courteous and kind. The dishes, cooked simply but with genuine, top-quality products, are always delicious and plentiful. The price is more than reasonable, with excellent value. They welcome our four-legged friends. Suitable for couples, groups, even with children. Highly recommended.

08/04/2026: We stayed at the Rifugio Genziana al Mottarone and overall had a pleasant experience. The place is truly beautiful, in a splendid location and with a typical mountain atmosphere that we thoroughly enjoyed. We had the braised beef with polenta and the polenta with cheese, both delicious and tasty. It was a shame, however, that the service left us a bit perplexed. The waitress seemed rather rude at times, especially when we asked for a last-minute addition of polenta. When I asked about the presence of gluten in a dish, given my intolerance, the response was unhelpful and given in an annoyed tone. Managing the order with the tablet also didn't seem very practical. Furthermore, the prices seemed a bit high for the quality and portions served. Overall, a good experience, especially for the location and the food.

06/04/2026: More than a refuge, it's a restaurant with above-average prices (e.g., a glass of wine costs 9 euros, or desserts cost 10-12 euros... crazy). Our table hadn't been reserved as we'd been told over the phone. The service was inflexible and lacking empathy. There are more welcoming and affordable refuges, even in the Mottarone area. I won't be returning.

02/01/2026: Horrible experience with the food and payment. Just seeing an unwanted guest on our plate on New Year's Eve seems like science fiction, but not at this place. Completely different from what we had imagined, we'll never return. Plus, the food was tasteless and the portions were small, €65 per person, and the owner didn't even give us a discount after what we saw. Seriously, I repeat, never again 👎🏽
