04/04/2026: I went there to try one of their pizzas. The toppings are high quality, but the quantity didn't seem sufficient to give it 5 stars: there's a lot of dough. While it's certainly good and the wood-fired oven is well-executed, I would have liked to see more toppings. The tiramisu, however, is homemade and of good quality.

03/04/2026: Horrible experience, unwelcoming staff

06/04/2026: Easter lunch wasn't a very pleasant one. When we booked, we were told they'd offer an à la carte menu. Once we arrived, we were treated to a set menu without even a price listed on the menu. The appetizers were decent, the first courses were flavorless and undercooked rice, the pasta was overcooked and the ragù was loose, the roast veal was a 30-gram portion with a blended carrot sauce, and the goat was good. Dessert was mediocre. All for €45. An experience not to be repeated.

01/04/2026: If you go to the Premia spa, you have to go to Giglio Azzurro to eat. Everything is spectacular, generous portions, location, cleanliness, friendliness, you eat well at reasonable prices... I've been to many places to eat, but this is truly one of the best... very good...

09/10/2025: Very fair prices, friendly service, and delicious, typical Italian dishes like homemade lasagna, gnocchi with buffalo mozzarella, and pizza. There's also a small children's menu. The outdoor area is huge. I'm pleasantly surprised!

The food was very good, but unfortunately, the portions weren't generous… we would have needed to order two courses per person to be full, which would have been expensive considering the relatively high prices on the island. The service, however, was excellent; the young man who looked after our table was very friendly and helpful. The setting is also pleasant; the dining room is attractive, and there's also the option of eating on the terrace.

21/03/2026: I stayed at this inn about a month ago with a friend; we went for lunch there over a couple of days. We ate wonderfully; the quality of the food was exceptional, and the lunch menu was incredibly cheap. About €15 for a first course, second course, side dish, and drinks...fantastic! The good food (and good wine) were accompanied by a welcoming atmosphere and professional, friendly staff. I can't wait to return and try other house specialties. Keep up the good work...Thanks for everything!

13/04/2026: Having heard about it for so long, I decided to give it a try... guys, in my opinion, it's highly overrated... or at least, we ordered two different platters of cold cuts and I can assure you that the quality is very average... not to mention the portions and the plating... in a bar where I pay 18 euros for a platter, I expect, first of all, to be plated to perfection, perhaps on a wooden cutting board and not on a square plate... the portions are meager and, as already mentioned, the cold cuts are something you can easily find at the supermarket... the bread they bring to the table is good and there's a good selection of wines... a wide selection of products to buy, but only for tourists because the prices are crazy... near the checkout there's a basket of tomatoes for 15 euros a kilo, you decide!

09/04/2026: This place cant be easily explained in words. The whole time while sitting and tasting great meat and specialities, combined with wine, I felt like little chef Remy in Ratatouille when he combined few tastes and felt the explosion of them. This place will stimulate your taste buds and all the sensations in a way only the best products made with love can. If I should plan a trip to Laggo di Maggiore, Intra is "must visit" - if nothing else, just to spend time in La Casera and try different things on their menu.

11/03/2026: A lovely restaurant on a green plain. Friendly and attentive service. Dishes that invite you to return for more. For this experience, the Ossola platter of cured meats and cheeses. Chestnut flour gnocchi with mushrooms and toma, crespelle with nettle tips and ricotta, and finally, an apple and chestnut parcel. Enjoy your meal!

01/03/2026: The service was really disinterested and it was made clear that it was a big priority to get 2 sittings at our table. My vitello tonnato was tasty and the main was too, though I would have made that as well (I'm not a professional cook). I feel disappointed. We live just over the border in Switzerland and have recently been to the Olympics in Livigno and Bormio - the service, food and passion for fine dining was in a totally other league there. Shame.

22/03/2026: The pizza is truly excellent: well-worked dough, light and pleasant, with an excellent final result. You can sense the quality and attention to detail, although a little more research could further improve the quality. The offering is very interesting: a well-structured pizza tasting, accompanied by homemade breads and focaccias, included in the cover charge. The montanarine are also excellent, well-executed and tasty. Overall, every bite is an explosion of flavors, a sign of a kitchen that knows its stuff. The courtesy of the staff is also a positive note, always kind and helpful. The only real weakness is the service: it takes a bit too long and the management is at times distracted. This is where the restaurant should work harder to make the experience truly complete. In summary: excellent product quality and an interesting offering. Four stars as encouragement for further improvement.

06/04/2026: We enjoyed a delicious lunch here on March 19th, after visiting Isola Bella, on a day trip from our stay in Lake Orta. We did not have a reservation, but they were kind enough to provide a nice table. Food, service and wine list are ottimo!

27/03/2026: Unfortunately, very disappointing. The appetizers weren't freshly prepared; they seemed to be made from canned or refrigerated food. The homemade gnocchi were tasteless, and the sauce was mushy. The food was served very quickly, suggesting that it was prepared with little care and attention. I left the gnocchi and told the waitress they weren't to my taste. Her response was simply, "Va bene." I would have expected more effort, perhaps even some follow-up questions. I was charged full price for this dish. Overall, the price was very high considering the quality and lack of skill in preparation. Not recommended!

15/04/2026: Friendly and very accommodating staff! The bruschetta, priced at €10 as pictured, was quite disappointing! We're used to much better. The pasta, a modest portion, cost €20. Overall, the bruschetta wasn't worth the money, and I personally found the pasta overpriced, although the taste was excellent.
