31/05/2026: We tried this restaurant by chance the first time, but we loved it so much we returned a second time. The staff were very friendly, the atmosphere was charming, and the menu was varied. We tried both the pizza for dinner and the pasta dishes the next day for lunch, and everything was delicious. Highly recommended.

04/05/2026: A lovely place in the center of Stresa. The food is good; I recommend the juniper-sauced venison with polenta. The first courses are also good and well-cooked. The ravioli del plin are excellent. The staff is very attentive and friendly. There is seating both inside and outside in the square.

02/05/2026: The sheer number of Michelin stars on my little trip through Lombardy and Piedmont is starting to feel a bit overwhelming. This trattoria, just outside the hustle and bustle of Ispra, completely won us over. We were lucky enough to snag a table for our group of four without a reservation, and the appetizers and main courses were excellent. The dessert was delicious too. I'd say this is Piedmont at its best! A definite recommendation from me.

16/05/2026: Welcoming staff, good food. I can recommend the tagliatelle with meat sauce, linguine with clams, and the beef tartar was sublime. Service a bit slow.

15/05/2026: Honestly, the pizzas are excellent; the chef is a true magician! The welcome, however, really leaves much to be desired. We were promised 5-10 minutes for two takeout pizzas, and in the end, we waited over 30 minutes due to a mistake by one of the three staff members. A bit of a wait isn't a problem if the staff is friendly and does their job well. Yet here, we didn't even receive a word of apology, nothing. It's a real shame to ruin the pizza chef's excellent work with such an attitude.

02/05/2026: I honestly think the restaurant has all the makings of one of the most charming and professional establishments on Isola Superiore, as well as in the entire Borromean Islands area. However, while the staff is prompt, extremely professional, and quick in serving guests, I believe that when the place is crowded, it feels the inevitable emotional pressure caused by the accumulation of requests for food and drink. Unfortunately, during my stay with my partner on May 2, 2026, I didn't have the opportunity to dine at "La Rondine" due to a misunderstanding that could easily be resolved. Nevertheless, I can say that, as a former professional (with many years of experience) in the restaurant service industry, I really empathized with the waiters, especially the affable and lively young man with sunglasses and a long beard. Although I offered to come back in about 40 minutes to try and find a table, he abruptly interrupted our conversation and (rightly) went back to serving customers. Although I intended to return, as I promised, I faced my partner's disapproval over the incident and immediately agreed to return to Stresa. That said, I hope this review can be a positive starting point for improving an already excellent table service. I recommend investing in mindfulness and emotional intelligence courses for staff, so they can experience customer service in a pleasant and rewarding way.

23/04/2026: Spectacular restaurant location overlooking the water on the beautiful island of Pescatori / Stresa and the food quality and variety excellent! Enjoyed the veal and grilled vegetables with vino blanca, iced in a pasta can! Check out their store that has family-owned FABULOUS olive oils, balsamic, spices and more. Sarah speaks awesome English and her knowledge and attitude matches. I actually made a video as I was so impressed ❤️🇮🇹

27/05/2026: We returned to Rome today after spending two nights at this delightful hotel. We had two rooms on the third floor. Book here with confidence, you won't go wrong! Excellent location for those who, like us, want to take the Centovalli train to Locarno. We had a wonderful time, thank you for everything!

06/06/2026: We usually enjoy this restaurant very much, which is why we wanted to share an honest and constructive review. During our last visit, on a Sunday at lunchtime, we felt the staff was somewhat overwhelmed by the number of customers. The service remained friendly, but less smooth and attentive than we've experienced in the past. As for the food, the dishes were decent, but below the standard we've come to expect from this restaurant. While not disappointing, they lacked a bit of precision and care in their execution. However, this doesn't change our overall positive opinion of the establishment. We know this restaurant is capable of much better and we will gladly return. We simply hope to find, on our next visit, the same quality and consistency that have made us so enthusiastic until now.

12/01/2026: While searching for a restaurant in Domodossola, I came across this lovely restaurant-pizzeria. It was a lovely evening, with good food, good wine, and good service. Prices were fair for the quality, and it was free of all the gourmet frills and Michelin-starred-style frills. Don't be put off by the unusual name (it was the name of the previous brewery the owners ran), the location (it's in a sort of alley), and even if the waiters ignored you when you entered (the room was full, but we were ignored for five minutes). My beef cheek was cooked perfectly, the mashed potatoes and tapas nabour were balanced and flavorful, my wife's vitello tonnato was very well cooked (pink in the center) with the sauce served on the side, and the bread and milk tart was very simple but delicious. The waitress was friendly but not intrusive and always gave us excellent advice, and the owner was kind and smiling. A distinctive touch: two MV Augustas are on display in the restaurant. I haven't tried the pizzas, which seem very thin and crispy. Well done! I'll definitely be back when I pass through Domodossola again.

18/05/2026: Went there twice during our stay in Verbania. Delicious meat and cheese platter, good wine and mood. Loved it! The panettone-foie gras sandwich is to die for!! The boutique inside has tons of local products. Totally recommend!

16/05/2026: La Casera La Casera is located right in the heart of Intra. La Casera is a combination of grocery store and restaurant. It has a wonderful atmosphere, embodying Italian lifestyle. The selection of cured meats and cheeses is immense. A huge variety! The ambiance is lovely. You can sit outside and enjoy the view of the square. The interior is also very pleasant, with a friendly, family atmosphere. The staff is very welcoming. La Casera is a must-visit; you simply can't walk past it. Highly recommended!
