05/07/2025: Stopped by for lunch on a quiet day. Prompt and polite service. Excellent location and little away from the cluster of restaurants by the port. The mixed salad and main course were high quality. Prices are very fair for the quality. Nothing to dislike. Will visit again.

25/06/2025: Good location, small, nice, clean rooms. Friendly staff. The coffee (fully automatic) at breakfast isn't tasty, which is a shame. I also don't think that's okay, especially since breakfast is included.

02/06/2025: Ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, aber gewisse Abzüge in der kulinarischen Ausgestaltung. Das Lokal ist sehr schön, die Bedienung sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Ich habe das vollständige Degustationsmenü gewählt. Vorweg: Es ist seinen Preis wert. Und trotzdem hat es mich nicht vollständig überzeugt. Häufig ist in den einzelnen Gängen etwas zu viel.. sei es an der Menge (z.B. beim Gruss aus der Küche oder beim warmen Voressen oder dann an der Menge an Brot - das grenzt an Lebensmittelverschwendung...) oder an den verschiedenen Fleischkonstellationen (z.B. beim warmen Voressen). Der Blaukäse war toll, aber so intensiv, dass er bis in den süssen Nachtisch hinein präsent war (Zabaione). Dieses wiederum war hervorragend, falls man es auf das Zabione aus der Pfanne begrenzt hätte (all das bunte Süsszeug auf dem Teller war eigentlich unnötig und hat von der Essenz des Zabiones abgelenkt). Ähnlich war es beim warmen Voressen... der Apfel in den Voltini (oder was es war) hätte einen saureren Geschmack haben dürfen. Noch einmal: Das war ein sehr schöner kulinarischer Abend und er war es wert. Aber ich wünsche der Küche mehr Fokus auf den reinen Geschmack...

23/06/2025: Great find in Belgirate. My Pachieri with calamari an mousse of peas sounded like an unlikely combination, but was excellent. The service was excellent and the terrasse overlooking the lake was a great spot. Will be back to try the pizza!

19/06/2025: The place is nice and welcoming, the staff is kind and professional but with the cuisine we are not there. The crispy octopus served on a mashed potato was too dry. The paccheri cream of peas and squid insignificant in flavor. There is better, even on Lake Maggiore!

25/06/2025: We didn't eat here, but we were able to leave our bags here whilst we explored Stresa and Isola Bella, which was really useful. It was €3 a bag, and they were locked in their store room.

03/06/2025: In visita al Mottarone abbiamo optato per un pranzo presso questo rifugio che già dapprima avevo notato per le sue recensioni,già di per sé il Mottarone merita la visita,se poi ci si aggiunge anche il pranzo in questo rifugio hai completato l'opera. Arrivati sul posto,la cameriera molto gentile,ci fanno attendere un quarto d'ora circa causa locale pieno,ma dopo l'attesa,sempre la stessa cameriera ci fa accomodare e ordiniamo un menù degustazione che,come dalla foto prevede più tipologie di condimenti. Personalmente non posso che dare giudizio positivo per tutti i condimenti,anche per chi era con me,così come già suddetto per la cameriera che ci ha serviti ed anche il conto,molto onesto,quindi lo consiglio vivamente.

13/06/2025: We booked at the last minute and were greeted with a smile. Simple and very nice atmosphere: not at all chaotic, perfect for spending a quiet and pleasant evening. Friendly staff. The care in preparing the dishes is something wonderful - exquisite food!

15/06/2025: I've had some very nice meals here in the past, but today's experience was rather disappointing. We seem to have made the mistake of choosing the menu. Each of the 3 courses was very small, about half the size of the same dishes when ordered a la carte. Also, the quality of some of the ingredients used left something to be desired. The cut of meat used for the tartar wasn't great, and the panna cotta was seemingly made with vanilla paste with vanillin flavouring instead of real vanilla. I think for the quite high prices one can expect better quality. The service, sadly, wasn't up to scratch either. We had one set of cutlery for the 3 courses. After the starter my knife was covered in egg yolk from the tartar, so I left it on the plate, expecting it to be replaced. The waiter took it off the plate and placed it back on the table. It remains to be said that the setting of the Grotto Sant'Anna is very nice indeed.

04/07/2025: Fantastic. A little off the beaten track. The guests are mostly locals. Prices are normal for the area, even a bit cheaper.

03/07/2025: We have been to La Rungia twice. Excellent modern, creative cuisine with a twist. Very good product quality. Friendly and professional service. Beautiful terrace, for which we give 5 atmosphere points. Extensive wine list. Around €50 per person for starter, main course and dessert. Primi from 14,-€.

10/07/2025: Five stars, hands down! The chef at this pizzeria brings such an amazing vibe to the place—it really makes the whole experience special. He’s not only super friendly but also a true master of his craft. The pizza was absolutely delicious: fresh ingredients, perfect crust, and bursting with flavor. Can’t recommend this spot enough! Looking forward to my next visit.

29/06/2025: Unfortunately, a cloud of dust hung over the mountains the entire day, so the mountains couldn't show off their beautiful beauty. The hotel is a lovingly run family business. Rekardo, who spoke good German, helped us a lot, e.g., (helped us jump-start our motorcycle), explained things, and gave us tips. A great hotel team. Thank you for the lovely, full breakfast.

29/06/2025: Very friendly manager and staff. The breakfast buffet was definitely worth the money. Our corner room had a somewhat small bathroom with a bathtub. Everything seemed newly renovated, and we had a small balcony with a lake view. Right on the street. Unfortunately, the street noise was a bit loud at peak times. But nothing that wouldn't stop us from booking again. Very animal-friendly. Our small dog was very welcome, even on the pebble beach. Water shoes are recommended. Sunbeds with umbrellas and towels were free. The town of Stresa was about 3 km away. Easily accessible on foot along the road. Not advisable due to the narrow streets. We recommend this small, friendly hotel. The price-performance ratio is excellent. Several German TV channels and free Wi-Fi (only available in the hotel)
