24/12/2024: Pranzo per un 50° anniversario, 7 persone. La location è immersa tra le vigne delle colline del Monferrato casalese, una tipica cascina in mattoni e pietra ristrutturata che offre piatti di alto livello con una bellissima la cucina a vista. Ogni piatto presentato è stata un'escalation di sapori, è stato tutto molto apprezzato e la qualità della materia prima si percepisce dal primo all'ultimo boccone di ogni portata. Le bollicine iniziali, i vini rossi e bianchi ed il Moscato finale sono stati ottimi accompagnatori per il pranzo di festa. Durante il pranzo ci sono state rivolte piccole attenzioni fuori menù che hanno reso il tutto ancora più piacevole (come il bis degli antipasti e degli agnolotti e la selezione di pasticceria secca al momento del caffè). Claudio è stato paziente, disponibile, presente e ci ha coccolato per tutta la durata dell'esperienza, fermandosi più volte a chiacchierare e scherzare e omaggiando anche la coppia festeggiata con bel vino rosso autoprodotto come dono, un bravo professionista che svolge il suo lavoro con testa ma anche cuore. Un appunto: tagliare le fette del vitello tonnato, nel piatto in cui viene servito (insieme agli altri 2 antipasti) non risulta molto comodo. Un ringraziamento a tutto lo staff, non mancherà occasione per tornare a trovarvi. Attenzione: cascina Faletta NON è una trattoria, quindi non applica prezzi da trattoria. Estremamente consigliato.

28/03/2025: This place is absolutely worth mentioning and visiting. The building evokes memories of old villages while offering the high quality of a restaurant. The staff is very hardworking and kind, the toilet is exceptionally clean, and the atmosphere was great. One point to highlight: the food. Since I am traveling in Italy (and I have been to Naples and many other places), I can say that the food here is incredible and very tasty. A big thank you to the cooking staff, the chef, and the sous-chef!

15/03/2025: The food is good (good in the kitchen) and the waitresses are kind and attentive. I stopped in for a quick lunch and we were served right away. The 3 stars because the prices for lunch or dishes are not displayed. And asking for them when ordering doesn't seem "adequate" to me. If I had known that a mixed salad (with a little tuna and 1 egg) costs 10 euros as does a second course of scallop with lemon with side dish, perhaps I would have ordered something else. Having said that, since it is a prestigious place and deserves it, please display the prices for your customers. A second course (scaloppina with lemon), a mixed salad and 1/2 water over 20 euros... The food was good. Only the salad went wrong for me.

22/02/2025: Orders are taken at the counter and then you go to sit in a minimal space with a flavor of times gone by. A lunch that brightened up a gray and rainy day! If they had left us still we probably would have tasted the entire menu! A somewhat anonymous and not very substantial cold cuts platter. Amazing agnolotti, well-made filling with the right consistency, the white ragù with rosemary a real pleasure! The cast Montebore version also deserves a special mention. Good wine selection. The only flaw (or maybe not!) is the small portions. On the other hand, if they had been, we would not have tasted several dishes. Very good 😉

28/07/2024: Excellent dinner based on fresh fish cooked very well. The only thing to review is to have at least one other person alongside the good and willing girl who takes care of the room service to optimize the service for your diners.

09/02/2025: Sunday lunch in this elegant restaurant which presents itself very well and gives great expectations. The service is friendly, but very slow and sometimes distracted. The menus were brought to us only 25 minutes after our arrival, the order taken another 15 minutes later. Between one meal and another it is difficult to intercept a waiter, lunch lasts hours. The food is good, but overly priced due to its simplicity and quantity, especially for the vegetarian options and desserts. The meat was normal. Excellent wine. Excellent bread. I wouldn't go back, it's nothing special compared to other places I've tried with better quality-price and more attentive service. 6 people, 2 bottles of white wine approximately 35 euros, 3 bottles of water, 1 appetizer, 6 first courses, 5 second courses, 5 desserts, 5 coffees 369.50 euros

27/02/2025: Popular Osteria in the center of Sarezzano The landscape of Piedmont in the province of Alesandria on the border with Liguria is characterized by huge grain and rice fields. Wine only grows in the somewhat steeper hills around Tortona, the Colle Tortonesi. The vineyard called Derthona is still almost untouched by tourism. The small mountain village of Sarezzano is one of the places that presents itself authentically to the visitor. The Osteria and Bar La Rava e la Fava is located on the village square near the church. It is the only restaurant in the town center and the terrace on the village square is always busy at lunchtime and in the evening. The fact that there were no local alternatives to this restaurant wasn't a problem. Because during our visit it turned out that the cuisine was surprisingly good and creative. Our Primi exceeded our expectations: Homemade Spaghetti alla Chitarra Cacio & Pepe with a Pecorino ice cream topping was just as much of a pasta highlight as the Capellini with Colatura die Alici, a raw scampo and bottarga. The anchovy sauce from the Amalfi Coast is considered Italian umami among foodies. After this culinary surprise in the village, we were curious about the main courses - they would also have been a credit to any upscale restaurant: low-temperature cooked, Suckling pig fillet marinated in smoked honey sauce with caramelized Tropea onions and striped bream fillets fried with seafood and a pepperoni-orange cream with black olive powder and taralli (small half-round breadsticks). The inconspicuous village restaurant impressively proves why Piedmont cuisine is so popular with gourmets. We paid an extremely cheap 74 euros for the excellent dinner for two - Happy Italy!
