08/10/2025: A modern, well-kept restaurant, very welcoming. I visited during my lunch break, where they offer three menus (€14, €16, and €18). The waitresses were quick and attentive. I expected a little more quality in the food, especially the pasta sauce, which was a bit bland, but still good. The same goes for the meat sauce; it's a shame the potatoes weren't quite as flavorful. The dessert, however, was delicious. I'm sure the food on the à la carte menu lives up to the expectations of the place. I recommend stopping by if you're passing through.

12/10/2025: An insider tip in Monferrato! A bit remote among the villages, but the detour is worth it! It's important to make reservations in advance (even online), as this allows the small team to better prepare for their guests. The specialties are presented verbally, and recommendations should be followed. The starter plate was fantastic and full of surprises; the pasta (as it should be) was fresh and perfectly prepared. The highlight for us was the costolette d'agnello, rounded off with an elderflower sorbet! Simply a poem, complemented by the friendly and authentic service!

The cuisine is typically Piedmontese, meticulously prepared and based on local, zero-mile products. Every dish is a guarantee: authentic flavors, excellent ingredients, and the truly expert hands of Mr. Fabio in the kitchen. Besides being a skilled chef, he's also an attentive and passionate host. Located in the hamlet of San Damiano in Carisio (VC), this rustic establishment maintains an authentic charm, just like the trattorias of yesteryear. As soon as you enter, you feel the warmth: simple furnishings, a few brick walls, cozy lighting, and a fireplace—everything contributes to a feel-good atmosphere. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always eager to make your day enjoyable. There's no pretense of elegance, but the care is there and it shows. What you eat here is local, traditional, flavorful, and TYPICAL: The panissa, with rice, beans, and sausage, is a heart-warming dish, hearty and flavorful. The pappardelle, which I didn't order this time, but I did try a little from Nunzia's plate. It was delicious. The fried frogs: a delicacy! Crispy, flavorful, just the right amount of rusticity, well-executed. I'd never tried them!!! The entire meal focuses on real ingredients, homemade dishes, and generous portions—a welcome bonus. The flavors are traditional Piedmontese, unfussy but full of character. The price is more than fair for what you get: quantity, deliciousness, and atmosphere. It's not "gourmet," but it doesn't pretend to be, and that's precisely what makes it special. The only small point: the menu is often "spoken out loud." I asked the lady for the menu, but she didn't bring it. It's not a serious problem, but it's something worth mentioning. If you're looking for a place to enjoy authentic Piedmontese cuisine, with dishes like panissa, frogs, and local first and second courses, in a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere, Cuore d'Oro is definitely worth marking in your diary. Five well-deserved stars: a pleasure for the palate and the soul.

The atmosphere is welcoming and familiar, and the Piedmontese cuisine is authentic, made with fresh, local ingredients. The staff is attentive, fast, and always available to answer any questions, even with a large group like ours. Everything was excellent, from the food to the service! A place I highly recommend and where we'll definitely be back 🍷👏
