10/06/2025: We had been to this place a few years ago... and now that we were passing through... we went there specifically to have lunch because we had a good time and I didn't care if I had to extend 20km from our route... it was worth it... for the tasty food for the excellent service for the honest price... the waiter made me taste a local bitter that I didn't know... exceptional... I will buy it for home and let my friends taste it on special occasions... thanks 🙏

10/03/2025: Enchanting place in a small village where the managers of Cantina Alpina also organize and set up super nice exhibitions and vernissages. It is highly recommended to stay and eat at this small hotel where my partner and I spent a relaxing weekend. You can easily reach ski destinations as well as walks immersed in nature. 28/04/2025: Di passaggio per visitare Ivrea con la famiglia abbiamo pranzato in questo locale carino con atmosfera familiare. Pizza e cibo buono e buon rapporto qualità/ prezzo. Il personale gentile.. soprattutto il signore che ci ha servito e con cui abbiamo avuto occasione di chiacchierare un po', era coetaneo di mio padre, ma attivo e simpatico! Consigliato!

08/06/2025: Very disappointed by our experience in this restaurant, we often come from Paris to Carrù for the bollito misto, here nothing great in the gran bollito at 20€, 4 pieces of boiled tongue fight a duel with a mini sausage and a small piece of chicken, very few vegetables (4 pieces of zucchini), not the traditional puree, the tajarin is served without sauce, you have to ask for parmesan, the battuta ditto, you have to ask for salt, pepper and olive oil, and to finish the vitello tonnato is very discreet. The service is correct but very cold. To avoid!

02/06/2025: Mi sono imbattuto in questo ristorante per caso, avendo sbagliato strada da Novara verso Stresa. Il locale si trova in un piccolo borgo collinare affacciato sul Lago Maggiore, dove ci sono solo due ristoranti: questo, sorprendentemente segnalato dalla Guida Michelin (ma senza stella), risulta secondo in classifica su TripAdvisor. Non avevo prenotato e ci è stato assegnato l’unico tavolo disponibile per due, sfortunatamente posizionato in mezzo a una fastidiosa corrente d’aria, tra una porta finestra alle spalle e un condizionatore davanti che sparava aria gelida per tutto il pranzo. Il ristorante aspira evidentemente a uno stile “stellato” e i piatti vogliono essere raffinati, ma il risultato è piuttosto deludente: porzioni minuscole, molta estetica e poca sostanza. Ho ordinato uno spaghetto con vongole, ricci di mare e bottarga (28€): la pasta era anonima, dominata da un gusto di riccio di mare un po’ invadente e da una sapidità notevole data dalla bottarga. Per quel prezzo, mi sarei aspettato almeno un formato di pasta più importante, magari un tonnarello all’uovo fatto a mano. La qualità delle materie prime sarà anche buona, ma il sughetto mi è sembrato qualcosa di già porzionato e surgelato – fresco, forse all'origine, ma preparato in anticipo e non espresso. L’entré, molto curata nella presentazione, prometteva una "esplosione di sapori" tanto decantata da altre recensioni: personalmente, non ho percepito nulla del genere. A colpire è solo il colore sgargiante, probabilmente ottenuto con coloranti naturali come la spirulina... o almeno si spera. Non ho preso vino: dovevo guidare, ma anche perché non trovo giusto pagare 35€ (o più) per una bottiglia che in una buona cantina italiana costa al massimo 4€ al litro, spesso meno, e che offre un ottimo prodotto. Qui, invece, si ha l'impressione che si paghi più l'idea che il contenuto. Capisco che la cucina gourmet abbia le sue regole, ma qui sembra che si stia puntando tutto sull’immagine, sacrificando il gusto e soprattutto la soddisfazione del cliente. Forse alla Michelin piace questo tipo di cucina francofila d’apparenza, ma a me ha lasciato solo un conto salato, un po’ di freddo addosso e molta fame.

24/05/2025: Esperienza sensoriale oltre ogni aspettativa. Conosciuto per caso, apprezzato per scelta. I piatti erano qualcosa di sublime per il nostro l’alato; partendo dalle entrées, un’esplosione (letteralmente ) di sapori e consistenze che hanno allietato il palato.Plus per gnocco fritto al nero di seppia con ricotta e uova di trota! Dall’ anguilla laccata al Barolo con le verdure in osmosi é partita la nostra escalation di sapori fino all’anguilla con le verdure in osmosi, per passare poi al foie gras,e concludere con lo spaghetto con vongole, ricci di mare e bottarga ed il risotto alle erbette con scampi siamo rimasti estasiati dai sapori. Un grazie speciale ad Elisa e Giulia che ci hanno coccolati al massimo, ed allo chef che con il suo studio ha reso questo locale la punta di diamante della zona.

20/05/2025: Localino a pochi passi da via Po, il personale è gentilissimo, pochi tavolini, ma il locale è colorato e accogliente, ho gustato dell'ottimo tè. Anche le torte sono buone e accompagno molto bene tante varietà di tè. Prezzi interessanti, consigliato.
