18/07/2025: This gnoccheria and all its staff deserve even more than 5 stars... the food is always excellent... the location is charming... but above all the great courtesy and professionalism...

18/07/2025: We had a very pleasant evening enjoying risotto and gnocchi, all delicately prepared. The setting is very typical, in a vaulted cellar, pleasantly warm compared to the heat outside. You can see that the chefs are eager to share their dishes. The only downside was that there wasn't enough octopus in the risotto (which was delicious). And our only regret was that we were planning to skip the appetizers, but they looked so good. The desserts were as good as the meal, and we highly recommend you try them.

31/05/2025: I was alone and had a menu of 4 courses with the wine package. The wine pors were about 4cl and minimal - no way you could hold it in your class until the food arrived - it took 20-30min after the wine to get the food. So no pairing. You have to call to the restautant to get a table. I booked via Fork - and got turned from the door. Then I sent an email, no response but when called I got response and table. Food was very good and portions beautiful!

19/06/2025: We first visited Osteria Alberto in 2024 to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it was already a special culinary experience. This year we went again! This time on foot: a varied walk from Villagio Ollandese via Roggiano. Once again, we were able to enjoy fine dining of the highest standard, just like last year. A shady spot on the terrace and quiet, courteous, and warm service rounded off the sunny day. If possible, we'll definitely be back in 2026.

13/06/2025: We visited Alberto's several times; from the welcome to the dessert to the espresso, everything was just perfect. The location is absolutely beautiful, nestled between the mountains. Sitting on the balcony in the warm summer air and listening to the chirping of crickets is simply wonderful. In addition to the fantastic steak, this time we had leg of goat with polenta and asparagus; it was a delight. The service is super friendly, and English is spoken. We absolutely love our stay here and would happily recommend the high-quality food, the passionate service, and the restaurant's beautiful ambiance. We can also highly recommend the wine advice and the regional wines! The prices are absolutely fair. Thank you for this wonderful restaurant!

13/06/2025: climbing a mountain road, we stumbled upon this little restaurant by chance. At the entrance we are greeted by a large fireplace with strange terracotta cups on the grill... we ask what they are and the chef explains that they are the cups for making PANIGACCI. A liquid mixture similar to that of Crepes that is poured onto the red-hot cups that cook it in a few minutes. Accompanied to the table, we decide to start our dinner with this typical appetizer, Panigacci with cold cuts and cheeses. We continue the dinner with a fillet with berries and a Polenta and Sciratt (minced meat without tomato with Colonnata lard). All very good, but... I prefer my polenta, which I have not documented, the village version or Taragna. Here instead they use very yellow semolina and served compactly from a mold. Too bad it loses that home-made touch... Very courteous and customer-friendly staff.

24/05/2025: It's a winding but well-maintained road that takes you to the summit. A magnificent view from a well-appointed terrace where food is served awaits you at the end. You can stay there and sleep. All around, a magnificent forest to discover.

01/06/2025: A very special and beautiful restaurant. There are many types of pizza and they were very delicious, we were able to try 2 types, the red wine went great with it. We really liked the positive attitude of the employees. They were polite and attentive. The price is quite reasonable, pizza is between 6-11 Euros, and you can taste wine in a jug for up to 9 Euros. I can say that the people living in this small beautiful town are very lucky to have such a restaurant. We went without a reservation and luckily we found a table right away. I recommend it, you won't regret it.

15/06/2025: Wonderful welcome, very kind and helpful owner. We booked for a weekday, we had no trouble finding a place, perhaps also because we are not yet in the middle of the summer period. Located in a very quiet and silent place, we had lunch with simple but carefully prepared dishes. The cake, the "Dolce di Varese", was delicious and soft, as the owner explained to us, made by them with yellow corn flour, as is the bread we used to accompany the meal. We are a bit far away, but I hope to return because I also want to try their polenta :-)))
