16/04/2026: If you're looking for a pizzeria where arrogance is the daily menu, La Brace is the place. The staff (or management) is decidedly unkind, and their manners are rude, to say the least. There's plenty of choice in the area; next time I'll definitely reward those who know how to do their job with a smile, or at least with politeness.

14/04/2026: Clean and welcoming place, friendly staff, and fast service. I went on a weekday evening with a group of friends for pizza. While waiting, I enjoyed the complimentary sample of fried gnocco. The pizza is served by the slice, thick. The crust is crispy, but the dough is soft and easy to digest.

Generous portions, home-cooked dishes, and a signature family welcome. The hostess makes you feel like a guest, not a customer. 14/04/2026: We stopped in as a group after a hike on the local trails for coffee and dessert, and we weren't disappointed. Excellent desserts, extremely friendly staff, and a quiet location. We'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

08/03/2026: Stayed with family over the weekend of March 6-8. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming: the common areas were just a bit "lived in," yet well-maintained and clean. The room was cozy and spacious: a comfortable bed, an excellent and manageable temperature, and amenities beyond our expectations. The location was perfect: right on the edge of the pedestrian area. The restaurant is fantastic, and after our first dinner, we never changed because of the authentic and balanced flavor (tagliatelle with meat sauce, ossobuco with polenta, a welcome appetizer, and complimentary limoncello). It's clear that the entire team has put a lot of care, professionalism, and grace into everything. Excellent value. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection of dried fruit and cereals, and on Sundays, cakes galore. You can tell when someone loves their job. If I were to return to Varese 100 times, I'd always stay at the Hotel Bologna.

08/03/2026: We happened upon it by chance last year on August 15th. The dinner was fantastic, the service impeccable and, above all, courteous. We were even unsure about a starter, and the chef overheard it and had it brought over, offering it. We returned and enjoyed it just as much as the first time.

29/12/2025: If you book and arrive 15 minutes late, they won't hold your table, I find that truly unfair. In response to your Good evening, We understand the organizational difficulties of a restaurant and we don't question your commitment or the work of the staff. However, we believe it's fair to point out that a 15-minute delay, even without warning, falls within a threshold that many establishments still consider acceptable, especially when the table was reserved. Our disappointment stems from the fact that the table was assigned to someone else without even trying to contact us and from the way the situation was handled upon our arrival. And even from the flight, they'll make us wait outside in the cold. This review isn't intended to "damage" the company, but to recount an experience that, in our opinion, wasn't right. We accept the invitation to return, but we believe it's legitimate to express our opinion, just as it's legitimate for you to explain your version of events. Understanding should be mutual. 31/05/2026: We had dinner for the first time last night and will never go back. The place wasn't very clean. We had a table outside that was covered in cobwebs, no signs of cleaning, and then it took over 20 minutes for someone to come to take orders. Then a gentleman, I think the owner, showed up, wearing shorts and without washing his hands. He was half cashiering, half serving, and half putting toppings on the pizzas. It's definitely not the ideal place for those who care about cleanliness. What a shame!

09/10/2025: I discovered this restaurant through a restaurant reservation app. It focuses on very unique meat and fish dishes, with few vegetarian and vegan options. The wine list is extensive, making it almost difficult to choose. The welcome entree was delicious.
