07/09/2025: Very nice bar on Lake Maggiore. We were there for a drink at lunch and a snack in the evening. The service was very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious (we had a cheese and ham/bacon platter). The drinks were equally good. The price was right for us. We would definitely come back.

25/09/2025: I took a well-deserved out of office day and, together with my friend “Chef,” we set off on a beautiful hike from the parking lot just below the Campo dei Fiori Observatory up to Forte di Orino — about ten kilometers round trip. On our way back, my friend treated me to lunch at Osteria Irma, and what a treat it was! The whole experience was simply splendid: warm hospitality, genuine courtesy, and dishes that felt both comforting and refined. The fried porcini mushrooms were out of this world — crispy, golden perfection — while the sciatt were an irresistible explosion of flavor that had us smiling with every bite. And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, the crema catalana sealed the deal: silky, fragrant, and absolutely worthy of praise. Special mention goes to Arianna, the maître, whose kindness made us feel at home, and to the Osteria’s chef, not only talented but also wonderfully friendly. From today on, Osteria Irma officially enters my list of restaurants worth the trip. Highly recommended for anyone looking to combine nature, tradition, and unforgettable food memories.

07/09/2025: My experience at this ice cream shop wasn't the best. I had to wait about 45 minutes, despite there being only about ten people in front: the service was really slow. One detail that left me perplexed was that the ("Parisian") waffles were picked up directly by hand and only later wrapped in a tissue. On the human side, there's nothing to complain about: the staff is kind and polite, but the product didn't convince me. I had pistachio and fiordilatte, but the two flavors were practically indistinguishable.

16/07/2025: Excellent food with a wide selection of beers, a welcoming atmosphere with a very cool and pleasant terrace. Friendly and helpful waiters, slightly higher prices than other pubs.

25/07/2025: We ate here last night with our two children and can highly recommend it. My son wanted spaghetti carbonara, but it wasn't on the menu. After a quick chat with the kitchen, it was quickly arranged! I wanted the pistachio pasta, which normally has bacon in it, and they adapted it for me because I'm a vegetarian. We all had pasta, so I don't know what the pizzas were like, but locals were picking them up like crazy while we were there, so I'm sure they're good. If you're in the area, craving pasta or pizza, and looking for a casual Italian experience, look no further.

21/07/2025: Senza Nome is simply an institution in the Bizzozero-Viale Borri area. Whether you go for lunch, dinner, or even an aperitivo, you always leave satisfied and with a smile on your face, thanks to the friendliness of Gianluca and the entire staff. Even if you're in other parts of Varese or just visiting from out of town, give it a try—you won't regret it!

12/10/2025: We had lunch with friends and were very pleased with the quality of the meat and the variety of the rich and refined menu, in keeping with the tradition of fine cuisine. The atmosphere is elegant, the staff impeccable, and the wine selection is excellent and carefully selected. Congratulations!

28/09/2025: A charming location our table was just a few meters from the clear waters of Lake Monate. It might not be for everyone's budget, but the seafood sauté was excellent and plentiful, an unforgettable lunch.

04/08/2025: Note: The restaurant is dated and in the middle of traffic. That said, we had dinner for two with a friend on the terrace, which was beautifully presented and set. The waitress, very helpful and polite, even brought us mosquito spray, which was much appreciated. After a classic aperitif, we chose from the seafood menu. Tuna tartare, salmon tartare, tuna steak, mixed fried fish. Tiramisu and crème brûlée. Fresh Pinot Noir, two red wines (corretto), and two limoncellos. Excellent quality, especially the tartares, which were truly delicious, but nothing to complain about with the dishes presented. Price: EUR 180. Probably a high price for Ponte Tresa, but justified by the good quality. A tip? Don't charge EUR 5 for a limoncello, but offer it to your guests; it would make a better impression. Furthermore, the restaurant was desolately empty: it's true that it's early August and many are on vacation, but a price adjustment could positively influence a new clientele. Well done anyway.
