21/10/2025: My partner and I booked the "Giovani Forchette" menu for lunch, €50 for five courses. It wasn't indicated that cover charge and bread weren't included, so we were charged an additional fee for these. Furthermore, one of the courses was a small pastry (in addition to the main dessert), a choice that seemed a bit clever. Final bill: 2 "Giovani Forchette" menus 50x2 + cover charge and bread 12 + water 12 + (a glass of champagne and a glass of classic method with a Venetian cicchetto) 25 + 14 = €163. Dishes tasted: Breadsticks with creamed cod as a cicchetto paired with the glass, rather unremarkable scallops au gratin, parmesan rice with licorice and meat stock, suckling pig with sweet and sour sauce, mascarpone ice cream with coffee granita, and small pastries. All the dishes were good, but only the rice with licorice really impressed me. The cod breadsticks were very greasy, and one of the cookies from the small bakery was undercooked—a minor detail, but you wouldn't expect it from a restaurant that aspires to a certain level (perhaps the lack of attention is due to the "budget" menu?). The service was the most disappointing aspect. The maître d' tried to be brilliant, but he made one gaffe after another, coming across as anything but courteous or welcoming: he couldn't open the cork on a sparkling wine, he brought me an already opened champagne instead of the one I requested, and in general he seemed very agitated. The other waiter wasn't any more precise: he didn't bring me bread (which I had to ask for), he poured water hastily, and when he had to explain two dishes, I couldn't understand him very well, both because of his low voice and his uncertain Italian. Even the stained placemat certainly didn't help the overall impression. In conclusion: We didn't eat badly, but we didn't have a memorable meal either. The unexpected costs and lackluster service left a bitter taste in our mouths. Perhaps the difference in treatment is due to the "Young Forks" menu? In any case, it shouldn't be.

05/10/2025: We booked at Fratelli Torcinelli for a Sunday lunch and absolutely loved it! The food was delicious and the staff was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and professional. A good selection of wines by the bottle or glass. The fava bean and chicory appetizer and the zampina sausage for the main course are highly recommended! Definitely worth a try!

21/10/2025: The place isn't very large, but we were still seated immediately on a Saturday evening. The staff spoke a little English, which didn't cause any problems when ordering. We received our food very quickly (even though the place was practically full). Both the main course and dessert were delicious.

20/10/2025: I've been there often, both for aperitif time and dinner. And I've always been very satisfied with both options.

04/10/2025: A truly positive experience at this elegant yet welcoming restaurant. This restaurant was a pleasant discovery, characterized by: - truly excellent seafood dishes - fast, friendly, and very professional service - good value I will definitely return and recommend everyone to try it!

27/09/2025: Fairly limited menu of salad, fish, meat cooked in oven or grilled. I like the way bake fish covered with salt, surprisingly not much salty as you expect. You can fish off with variety of sweets. Service is excellent. Salad and pasta did not take long. While fish expectedly took some time. I like very much that we were accommodating us beyond reserved time when we were late outside our control even though the place was fully packed.

13/10/2025: We made reservations for DeRos restaurant for 06-10-25 in mid July, confirmed by DeRos with a notice of fee for no-show shortly thereafter. On 6/10 we arrived to find the restaurant dark and opening hours revised to be closed on Monday's. No email, no reservation cancellation, no communication. Clearly not a 5 star, high class establishment - lacking the decency to notify a patron of change in operations and reservation revision.

11/10/2025: My favorite place in Navigli, it’s a hidden gem that’s perfect for aperitivo or post dinner drinks. Service is always attentive and the atmosphere of the bar is cozy.

20/10/2025: The manager made us sit outside even though it was really cold, and there were empty tables inside. We can’t help but wonder — was it because we’re Asian?

20/10/2025: Nice place in the Brera neighborhood. Honestly, the appetizers didn't meet my expectations, especially the truffle tartare (flavorless meat) and the carpaccio (the latter is nothing more than a sort of bresaola/speck with a sauce). Milanese risotto, let's say, lacked a bit of flavor, while the meat was very good. The service was quite good. The price was average for the city, so high.

04/10/2025: I've been wanting to try this historic Milanese restaurant for a long time, and today I finally had the chance. It's located in a truly picturesque location, right behind the Darsena, in Piazzale Cantore. The atmosphere is unique: elegant without being overly formal, with attentive service and meticulous attention to detail. The fish is incredibly fresh. I started with a raw fish dish that to call excellent is an understatement, then moved on to a dish that literally won me over: tagliolini with sea urchins and zucchini flowers, simply unforgettable—I've never eaten anything so good, I swear! I finished with a light, fragrant, and dry fried fish dish, unlike anything you've rarely tasted. An experience I'd repeat without hesitation. The price? Sure, you pay for quality... but here, you really do it with pleasure.

10/10/2025: We came here on the recommendation of the Palazzo Virilis hotel, and it was a great choice. We loved their pizzas and tiramisu. Surprisingly, they didn't include coffee, but that's fine because I prefer not to drink coffee for dinner. One of the waiters speaks Spanish! Great service!

I've given 5 stars to many other places in the past, but this deserves at least 10! We tried so many different dishes, and the execution was simply excellent. You can really taste the care and attention they put into every preparation. Everything was fabulous, from the first bite to the last! Besides the food, a well-deserved round of applause goes to the staff, who were incredibly kind and attentive, making our lunch even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a place to eat really well in a welcoming atmosphere, this is it! Highly recommended! We'll be back very soon!
