25/03/2026: I happened to be passing through this area, unfamiliar with the place, and I can honestly say I found one of the best trattorias in the entire province of Milan! The elephant ear cutlet (strictly veal) is only available on weekends and is available for dinner from the a la carte menu. On weekdays, a set menu is available, which is still very extensive and varied, as well as grilled meats. The photos speak for themselves! Kudos also to the extremely courteous and friendly staff in the dining room.

12/03/2026: I discovered this place thanks to a company dinner. The staff is very friendly and helpful, attentive to the guests' needs. The place isn't huge, but it's well-organized. The appetizers and first courses are delicious, with generous portions. The meat dishes are very good, along with the house specialties. Recommended!

20/02/2026: After a year of regular patronage and promoting the restaurant to numerous colleagues, Osteria di Civesio has lost a loyal customer. Actually, two or more. I found the manager's welcome completely inadequate: arguing over a diner's slightly late arrival, as announced, with inappropriate comments about closing time and the need to rotate tables—despite the dining room being half-empty—is unacceptable. Because of this attitude, the third guest chose not to eat and will no longer frequent the restaurant, where he had previously brought his family, again at my suggestion. I felt deeply embarrassed in front of the colleague to whom I had warmly recommended the place. Unfortunately, this isn't the first instance of poor courtesy and unnecessary remarks about punctuality I've received during the reservation process. Professionalism is measured by respect for the regular customer: chapter closed. This was clearly the manager's wish, perhaps stemming from when I asked to change a table near the bathroom window due to the unpleasant odors emanating from it.

27/01/2026: I became a regular customer in no time, and the reason is simple: Vincenzo, the owner, is a master in the kitchen and prepares truly delicious dishes. Besides the excellent food, you'll always find a smile and a lot of courtesy.

08/04/2026: It's Easter Sunday evening, and four of us went there, two of whom were supposed to be having dinner after a full day of serious work. After ordering drinks, we discovered the kitchen was closed (obviously, it's not mentioned on the Instagram story where they say they're open). We asked if we could get a pizza from the restaurant next door. The waitress told us she'd check if it was possible, but I don't know who she'd ask because she ended up slumped over her boyfriend at the counter. We got up to ask if it was possible, and they angrily replied that you can't bring food from other places (that's the only thing I can understand about the whole thing). A minute later, the bartender sat down at the table next to us with the takeout sushi next to him. We were basically in their living room while they were minding their own business. So I recommend staying indoors next time, because this definitely isn't work...

06/03/2026: I visited this restaurant with a group of friends. I couldn't fault the freshness of the fish; the problem was with the cooked dishes. There was a complete lack of culinary foundation, especially the white rice you see in the photos. It was literally inedible, lacking any creaminess, like glue. The fish inside was practically unclean, full of shells and residue. The worst part was the amount of butter that made it almost sweet; it completely clashed with the flavor of the fish. I honestly can't believe the positive reviews.

11/04/2026: The place doesn't seem very visible, with plenty of parking spaces outside. The place is very charming, in Neapolitan style. The staff is welcoming. It's best to book to ensure a seat. In my opinion, the quality-price ratio isn't fair, as it's really expensive for the food. The staff is friendly and helpful, although we had to ask for the same things several times at the table.
