29/09/2025: One of the best ice-cream ever 👌🏽

28/09/2025: The ice cream isn't like it used to be a few months ago. It used to be delicious, but now it's super sweet and the flavor has become the same as other ice cream shops. I came back this evening to confirm. I'm so sorry. I used to come from far away 1-2 times a week to get 1 kg of ice cream, plus on Saturday evenings, but not anymore since tonight. Too bad.

19/10/2025: Friendly and welcoming staff. Fast service. The interior is very charming, with a grotesque style. The menu is varied, featuring typical Mantuan specialties. The pear and sausage ravioli are delicious. The desserts are also very good.

20/07/2025: Tavern with restaurant prices, the food is not bad but the chairs are made of straw and therefore extremely uncomfortable

29/09/2025: When we visited on a Sunday evening, everything was delicious. The dishes are many, unique and definitely different from those at competing restaurants, which lately all seem the same. At Sakura Ya, most of the dishes seem homemade, and the staff, extremely kind and fast, seem like they belong to a family rather than a brand. The location, a former church, certainly plays a part. Besides sushi, the menu offers a wide variety of first and second courses, teppanyaki, and fried dishes, more than other similar restaurants, so I would recommend it even to those who aren't fans of raw fish or those with a few hesitant guests in their party. The price is in line with its competitors (I'd even say slightly lower). Highly recommended.

21/09/2025: Lunch today. Appetizers with mixed cold cuts, salami, coppa, prosciutto crudo, and slices of polenta with gorgonzola and pancetta. First course: pumpkin ravioli, homemade pasta, the pumpkin was the highlight. Second course: roast rabbit, glazed, with raisins and sausage. Must try, truly delicious. Baked potatoes. Dessert: tiramisu, oh my, truly delicious. House red wine. Natural atmosphere. Brick vaults and walls, large spaces, order and cleanliness. Very attentive and helpful staff. Recommended.

24/08/2025: We didn't have a great meal for the price. The atmosphere was very nice, with large and spacious tables, not crowded, and average service, with very friendly waitresses. In my opinion, both for the quality of the food and the inconvenience of the location, the prices are above average. The outdoor area, which is not yet open to the public, is also beautiful and well-equipped. August 23, 2025 - We returned. The prices haven't gone down; the outdoor area was open. I have to comment on the quality of the food, which was still good this time, and the presentation of the dishes was very attentive. The beef tartare with truffles was excellent, and the crostini were very good. For starters, the pumpkin tortelli were very sweet, and the risotto was excellent. We didn't order any main courses.

11/10/2025: Tried it during lunch break. The fixed-price menu costs €14 and features a decent selection of first and second courses, offering excellent value for money. A la carte options are also available upon request. Reservations are recommended. Very fast service.

24/09/2025: Order the tasting menu! My favorite – a little bit of everything. Incredibly delicious, other dishes also taste very good. Excellent value for money, as does the service. It's a joy to have such a place. A bit hidden away – but easy to find with Maps – a must-visit when in Monzambano.

02/10/2025: Creative modern Italian cooking which produces intense, delicious flavours. Reasonably priced for the quality, especially the wine. But a few weaknesses detract from the pleasure of eating here: bread is poor - underbaked and slightly stale. Millefeuille pastry (in the stunning chicken liver and plum dish) should be much crisper and lighter - maybe assembled too far in advance? Poached peach was hard/under ripe. Papadelle stuck together in places so undercooked. Stir the pot! In a place like this, pasta should be perfect but sadly we didn’t feel that even our gentle mention was welcome. A mobile phone ban would also be good! Customers walking in on their phones, taking calls at the table spoils the atmosphere. Even so, the memorable flavours and creativity make this restaurant a special experience.

18/09/2025: A lovely place for summer al fresco dining with friends. With some greenery and a few swings, it's also easier to manage the kids.
