A good, historic trattoria in the center of Mantua, but it seems a bit behind the times. The risotto is good, well-crushed as per tradition, reasonably priced, and the service is decent. If you come in without too many expectations, you'll probably leave satisfied!
Very scenic, it feels like a 19th-century restaurant. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, who explained the menu to us thoroughly. We had the pumpkin tortelli Mantovana-style and others with butter and sage. The first courses were truly delicious, as the sweetness of the pumpkin and amaretto tortelli perfectly contrasted the savory flavor of the sausage (I also recommend a cheese vrangata), while the butter ones were too sweet and became too hearty after a while, but that's a matter of taste. The wine was good. Very fair prices. I would have also liked to try the chicken, which looked delicious, but we were full; the portions were generous.

The location is somewhat secluded and very quiet.
Traditional atmosphere, excellent hospitality, attentive service, and above all, excellent food!

A traditional trattoria just a few minutes from the city center, with an extensive menu featuring many unique and delicious dishes. I highly recommend the desserts, which are a specialty. Reservations are recommended, as even though it's quite large, it's very popular.

I booked from home, so it was my first time there, blindly, trusting the reviews. Nice place, friendly waiter, but some waiters were a bit forgetful...you can't take an order for ten people without pen and paper...and then they forget something. That said, the polenta was excellent, the cotechino was delicious, and the first courses were also top-notch.
