01/05/2026: A fantastic discovery. A lovely place with a decor reminiscent of old-fashioned taverns. The welcome was excellent. Grilled meats are a specialty. A wide menu is served by friendly and professional staff. The ingredients used are top-quality. We started with an appetizer of cured meats and cheeses, followed by grilled ribs with Fassona Florentine polenta, grilled cheese, and a variety of side dishes. Dessert and coffee were also included. The flavors and aromas will delight your palate and make for a truly special experience. Around €30-40 per person, excellent value.

07/03/2026: I visited this pizzeria a few days ago on a business trip and finally found authentic Sicilian pizza, authentic Sicilian arancini, and all the hot food. The pizza chef is a fantastic, witty, and very approachable man, along with his wife. Even the sweet Sicilian cannoli with sheep's milk ricotta and beautifully seasoned toppings are delicious. Highly recommended.

07/06/2026: A fantastic place! The undisputed best Italian food we have ever tasted. The place is not only visited by tourists, but mainly by locals who eat there. The food is of the highest quality, everything is homemade and tastes fantastic. The place offers its own wines, which are also very good. The staff and the manager himself are very good at making guests feel comfortable and welcome. We will definitely come back. (We ate there two nights in a row already.)

03/05/2026: The pizza is very good, as I think everything else is. The staff is very quick in serving, courteous, and polite. The atmosphere is bright and very clean. It's very summery, nice, and cool in the summer with tables set under green lime trees. Live music and karaoke on Friday evenings. Very nice place, just steps from Lake Garda. 12/04/2026: We really appreciated the informal, family atmosphere. The food was delicious, made with quality ingredients. The staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming; we felt right at home. If I ever come to Mantua again, this will definitely be a must-visit. Highly recommended.

The presentation of the dishes at cooking temperature was remarkable (finally, an onion soup and a pumpkin pie fresh from the oven). The selection of wines by the glass was also excellent. Secluded yet very central.

02/01/2026: I stayed at this hotel only on the night of December 31, 2025 (without dinner). The welcome was excellent, the rooms were well-appointed and well-equipped. The breakfast was plentiful and made with wholesome ingredients. Parking was available on site. The hotel is located about 10 km from Lake Garda. In Solferino, you can visit the ossuary, etc. I definitely recommend this hotel.

02/10/2025: Creative modern Italian cooking which produces intense, delicious flavours. Reasonably priced for the quality, especially the wine. But a few weaknesses detract from the pleasure of eating here: bread is poor - underbaked and slightly stale. Millefeuille pastry (in the stunning chicken liver and plum dish) should be much crisper and lighter - maybe assembled too far in advance? Poached peach was hard/under ripe. Papadelle stuck together in places so undercooked. Stir the pot! In a place like this, pasta should be perfect but sadly we didn’t feel that even our gentle mention was welcome. A mobile phone ban would also be good! Customers walking in on their phones, taking calls at the table spoils the atmosphere. Even so, the memorable flavours and creativity make this restaurant a special experience.

14/05/2026: Arguably the best restaurant in Mantua for both cuisine and service. The wine list is top-notch: the awards and mentions it's received over the years are testament to the care and hard work that goes into this place.

17/05/2026: Unique and indescribable. Excellent quality and flavorful food, unique flavors for the palate. I tried the rabbit and mushroom-filled candies from the off-menu—to say they were unique would be an understatement... not to mention the GANASCINO, where you could taste all the love that goes into the preparation of the dishes. And then the dessert...poetry, a typical pudding based on an ancient Gonzaga recipe.

02/06/2026: We come here for lunch whenever we're craving great risotto! The staff is friendly and quick, and the food is delicious and plentiful. We always take home some of the rice we eat that evening, because it's so delicious. The desserts are excellent.

31/05/2026: Horrible experience. We had a reservation for lunch on Sunday and found ourselves in a room with terrible acoustics and a table of rude people (I know it's not the management's fault). We politely asked the waitresses if something could be done because we couldn't have a conversation at our table of seven, and they told us they would take care of it. However, they didn't, and they started yelling too, showing zero politeness towards us. The excuse when it came to the bill was that the table was made up of regulars and friends of the management. The food was decent, but after an hour and a half of waiting, we weren't hungry anymore. Furthermore, with disproportionate portions, the product isn't even valued, and much of it is thrown away. I'm sorry, but I'm disappointed, and I'll never return.
