16/08/2025: Everything was delicious. The cuisine was typically wintery. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pumpkin tortelli were delicious. The place was clean and traditional.

09/08/2025: A small and dignified restaurant, well-maintained, and welcoming: in short, the heart of Mantuan hospitality. There were ten of us, and everyone was delighted. The chickpea and vegetable croquettes as an appetizer were amazing, along with the leek tarts. Mushroom and sausage risotto, carbonara di Carbonara, pici with Montasio cheese slices... Il Pozzo is a gourmet feast, rustic and generous, averaging €30 per person. They've even elevated the French fries to a level of art!

23/02/2025: We stumbled upon it almost by chance to try tigelle and gnocco fritto, unaware that they also offered Indian cuisine. We ate really well, especially the Indian specialties. Excellent service. Highly recommended.

30/09/2025: A quick business lunch. Excellent pumpkin tortelli with salami, strictly homemade and cooked to order (which is why the wait is slightly longer than other places). We drank a very good Lambrusco Mantovano on tap.

23/09/2025: We stopped on the way... They were courteous and quick... But we weren't satisfied with the food... and I'm sorry. The tagliatelle with mint-flavored ragù... were they hiding an acidic taste? The tagliata "hidden" under arugula and parmesan... "Florentine-style" steak... left half on the plate... The only dish that was a little more pleasant was the breaded cutlet. But the price is only for the cutlet, without any sides. Yes, it's large, but two potatoes or two lettuce leaves would have looked good. Pay attention to the receipt... mistakes can happen. The atmosphere is very homey, some like it, some don't, but it's clean and quite welcoming. Unfortunately, I can't give more than three stars for various reasons.

08/10/2025: My husband went for lunch, and they forgot about the main course. They made him wait a long time and eventually he left. Terrible place. And in the end they charged him 10 euros. For the first course and water. Oh, what a disappointment.

10/08/2025: My favorite bar in Mantua, authentic. We always stop by when we're in Mantua. They offer a small, delicious appetizer buffet, a good selection of drinks, and, above all, a very friendly owner.

17/07/2025: Passing by... after waiting 10 minutes, the owner arrives and asks us what we want without a menu. We order a glass of white wine because they don't have red wine... a beer, a piadina, and two slices of ham. I wait another 10 minutes at the cashier, then they tell me the total, updating it three times... Total €41.00, obviously without a receipt...

Attentive and attentive service from Sjlvi, a French chef, made the dinner even more enjoyable with her savoir faire. The food was high-quality and absolutely homemade. The price was commendably fair.

20/09/2025: Honestly, I expected more. I'd already heard about this place and thought the food was good. I got a chicken burger, and it was raw. At the cashier, I was asked if everything was okay, and when I complained about what had happened, the guy seemed genuinely sorry and intent on offering a small discount. Spoiler: VERY SMALL: 0.10 cents 😂 But he did give us a 10% voucher "for the next time you come." Not to mention the almost €3 cover charge, with the paper menu as a placemat and hot drinks. Sorry, I'll give the voucher to someone else.

27/07/2025: A true rarity and an absolute insider tip. Tastefully and stylishly furnished. The breakfast was high-quality, with homemade cakes. We felt very comfortable.

01/07/2025: A magical place surrounded by greenery, excellent cuisine with a familiar flavor. The star of the court is their beautiful dog. I absolutely recommend it.
