07/09/2025: A recommendation from another hotelier because everything was full. Wonderful, but you need an enduro or 4x4 to get up there; it's gravel, and steep in places. So it's a mountain hut; don't expect any comfort.

I'm giving the service 4 stars only because of the wait, but there are only two people there, one in the dining room, one in the kitchen. A typical Friulian-Istrian menu, well-prepared home cooking.

The cut was quite tough, and the first courses were average. This translates to poor value for money. Finally, the service was slow, and the cover charge was €2 per person plus €4 for tap water! Not bad.

09/08/2025: Delicious dishes, fast and efficient service. I especially recommend it to travelers. It's worth taking a short detour off the nearby highway for a delicious dinner instead of eating at gas stations in Austria. Tarvisio itself is charming!
