The open-view "fogolâr" in the center of the room where the meat is cooked is lovely... The only flaw: the tables are a bit too close together! Highly recommended

The only flaw is the bill... for a restaurant that bills itself as rustic and traditional, with attentive yet informal service, a clean yet thoroughly old-fashioned atmosphere (including the bathroom), spending €200 for dinner for two seems way too much. Michelin-starred prices... everything else is a trattoria.

30/09/2025: We had breakfast at the Locanda. Located in the heart of the beautiful village of Polcenigo, this restaurant is housed in a truly beautiful historic building. It has both indoor and outdoor seating, right next to the river. The croissants and cappuccino were delicious, and the prices were reasonable. Efficient service, with friendly and helpful staff.

27/10/2025: amazing pizza, the waitress was extremely nice and our order was ready within 5-7 minutes ⭐️

26/10/2025: Chaos. Given menu and later told that the chef wasnt there, so pasta was not an option, only pizza was. Waitress was nice and friendly but we should have been told this at the start. Shame because we didnt want pizza. Anyway what we had was ok but left feeling disappointed.

04/11/2025: We discovered it through word of mouth, and I have to say it's one of the best places we've ever been to for dinner. The food was excellent, but the service was even better. I can't wait to go back.

22/10/2025: An excellent experience in a top-notch restaurant just steps from home. We were warmly welcomed by the waitress, who showed us to our table, which, like the rest of the restaurant, was decorated in a Halloween theme without being too tacky. The menu is seasonal, the dishes were truly delicious, as was the service, which was timed perfectly and always with a smile. Well done!

18/10/2025: Excellent trattoria at the foot of the Antro cave. From the terrace you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Natisone Valley. We arrived without a reservation, but they welcomed us anyway and offered us a nice table in the lower room. We started with excellent house appetizers. For our first course, the delicious green gnocchi with hare ragù and the "Minestra di San Martino": an extraordinary mushroom and chestnut soup. I've been looking for a soup like this for years!!! Thanks again to the chef!!! The house wine was excellent. The service was excellent: kind, attentive, and professional. Excellent value for money. We hope to be back soon!!!

30/08/2025: Stopping nearby for work, my fiancé and I chose Laura and Nadia's restaurant almost by chance. As soon as we entered, Laura greeted us with an old-fashioned welcome, followed by a handshake and a warm smile. The dinner was superb, featuring traditional dishes accompanied by the two sisters' tales of the family restaurant's ups and downs. We felt at home and never fail to reminisce about that day. Thank you.

02/11/2025: Some dishes are very good, e.g.: savory strudel appetizer and chalsons, other dishes are a little less so, e.g.: gialletti appetizer, polenta and ricotta (rather bitter).

23/09/2025: I've been frequenting this lovely pizzeria in Maniago Libero for years, and I can assure you that if you like Neapolitan pizza, here at Caminetto you'll find the best in the area! The owner and chef, a young and enterprising woman, comes from a family of chefs and puts her heart and soul into her work! All the ingredients are carefully selected, healthy, and delicious, from the flour used in the dough to the delicious mozzarella. Highly recommended.
