03/06/2025: When we are in Lignano, San Remo is our favorite restaurant. We have been going there, on and off, for 40 years and it feels a bit like coming home. The food is excellent and the service hospitable. We hope to eat there often. It is highly recommended!

30/06/2025: Very nice, unique with its almost improvised decor (nothing by chance). Traditional food from the past made as it once was. Really worth trying. We will definitely be back.

09/06/2025: Prenotato per la prima volta abbiamo pranzato molto bene e bevuto altrettanto bene. Piacevoli le varie portate di assaggi di prodotti locali da gustare insieme al prosecco offerto. Gnocchi di patate eccellenti e coniglio strepitoso. Vini di qualità anche extra Friuli. Dolci all’altezza delle portate precedenti. Simpatica l presentazione del menù fatta dal proprietario anche se per qualcuno potrebbe essere un po’ eccessiva. Ci tornerò volentieri

21/07/2025: I was passing through the area with my mother and we took the opportunity to have a quick lunch featuring local dishes; that is, I didn't want the usual pizzeria or sandwich shop on the main road, and for me, extending the journey by a few kilometers is irrelevant. Pros - Excellent parking and a beautiful location. The dishes were few, but all typical local dishes, good, and served very quickly. Cons - Trattoria-style in terms of food, but sandwich bar-style in terms of organization. That is, tiny tables, without salt and oil shakers because you physically have no place to put them, were systematically placed next to each other. Inside, customers were concentrated to optimize the workload of the numerous waiters despite the place being half full at the time, but in doing so, I found myself elbow-to-elbow with the neighboring diners, sitting at a McDonald's-sized table with no privacy or opportunity for conversation. In short, it was clear that we had become part of an optimized process to speed up service and serve as many customers as possible, while making the culinary experience a secondary objective, closer to a canteen with people needing to eat in a few minutes than to a trattoria where conviviality and tasting necessarily require more time and space. My two stars aren't enough for the quality of the food they serve, and I'm aware of the commercial needs that guided the organization of the place, but it's not what I expected from the "cover." If I just need to get some food, I'm absolutely not opposed to sandwich shops or pizzerias, but if I want to have lunch with my mother, this isn't the place.

17/07/2025: Excellent wine and delicious cuisine in a most pleasant setting. Fast and attentive service. Very reasonable prices. Congratulations to the entire team! Italy welcomes us as it deserves.

22/06/2025: We've eaten here several times and were satisfied every time. The staff welcomed us very warmly on each visit, as did the service – simply fantastic. We tried several things from the menu and enjoyed everything. We'd be happy to come back.

22/06/2025: Typical tourist rip-off!! Coperto is charged in full even though they forgot to make us anything (bread, snacks, crackers...). House wine: 1/2 liter was ordered and charged, we got 2 jugs of 125ml each + a bit more, but definitely not 1/2 liter! Pizza tiny and the dough so thin that there was a hole in the middle and you had to scrape the toppings off the plate! Parmesan is placed on the table in small plastic bags. Pizza with burrata was pizza with mozzarella - never again!! Especially when the prices are higher than in the neighboring restaurant (Sandr.) and this one is so much better!!! We had to tell the service 3 times that something was missing. I'd rather go somewhere else.

20/07/2025: Dinner for two: white wine, bruschetta with Liptauer cheese and creamed cod (a surefire hit, it's delicious). I had these gnocchi with goulash (very tender and flavorful meat), while my partner had lasagna with mushrooms and shrimp. Everything was delicious, but I already knew that because it's so popular with locals. Definitely worth trying again and again!

16/07/2025: Osteria Sociale is a place where you can feel at home, free from etiquette and formality, and focused on the essentials. The atmosphere is simple, so you won't find yourself in a restaurant but rather a true osteria. The dishes are well-prepared with authentic flavors and moderate prices.

10/07/2025: Fantastic family-run place, I believe they also own the B&B Il Gufo where we stayed. The wine selection is excellent, but what really stands out is the quality of the meat. The dishes are carefully prepared, and the cuts of meat are tender and flavorful. The staff is friendly and helpful. An ideal place for lovers of wine and good meat. Highly recommended!

01/08/2025: I really liked this restaurant, nice young service. The food was delicious and plentiful. We got a small portion of bean soup as an appetizer (for free). They paid special attention to the children, they cut the hot food in half, and at the end they also got a small gift. The view from the terrace is beautiful.

27/06/2025: Family-friendly and fabulous! You can't beat the value for money. Be sure to book ahead because it's always full!!! I highly recommend it.

05/08/2025: We stumbled upon this typical, simple, family-style osteria by chance, and left with a smile. A kind, friendly, blue-eyed young woman greeted us and was very helpful in guiding us through our selection of dishes. We started with an appetizer and a main course, followed by a typical house first course, which we shared. To finish on a sweet note, a generous slice of Sacher torte. The atmosphere is quiet, frequented by ordinary but polite people, who contribute to a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. An absolutely positive review: it's not a place for those seeking refinement, but for those who appreciate old-fashioned trattorias where food, hospitality, and authenticity are the main features.

04/08/2025: There was no cart and we didn't know what to have, but they were extremely helpful and prepared a brilliant Friuli food experience for us as a family. Great food, great service. Great place to visit to have authentic food from that region.

06/06/2025: We went to eat the famous prosciutto crudo, very good. Welcoming atmosphere and kind staff. A tip: adding some more side dishes would not be bad.
