Last night we had one goal: to escape the heat of Udine and spend a relaxing evening with the family. And we found a little corner of paradise at Plan de Paluz, above Tarcento.
Surrounded by greenery, with a pleasant temperature of around 24 degrees, we finally breathed in some fresh air. At one point, they even served a sweater... a marvel on these summer evenings!
And then the food... simply spectacular. The picanha was so tender it melted in your mouth, the skewers were exceptional, cooked to perfection. The side dishes were also excellent, and the Fusco La Roncaia red wine rounded out a truly special dinner.
Kudos also to the service: attentive, cheerful, and impeccable. The young woman who looked after us was incredibly kind, and Gabriele and his mother Arianna have that rare ability to make you feel welcomed and pampered, just like at home.
If you love quality meat and are looking for a place to relax in the cool, away from the summer heat, Plan de Paluz is a stop I recommend without a doubt. You eat very well, you feel divine and you go home wanting to return as soon as possible.

Good value, attentive and friendly staff. Welcoming and informal. Portions are generous. The soapstone is a nice alternative. Definitely worth a try.

Fantastic place, all wooden, I recommend the Paluz stone to everyone, a tray of meat, cheese and vegetables to grill directly at the table on an oil stone

If you're looking for a place to unplug from the daily grind and reconnect with the pleasures of good food, this trattoria is a true hidden gem. Surrounded by greenery, it offers a relaxing and exquisitely authentic atmosphere.
The cuisine focuses heavily on tradition, with generous dishes and local ingredients.
The tagliatelle with San Daniele ham is simply excellent. The pasta is rigorously fresh.
The Meat (The real highlight): Excellent quality, tender, and flavorful. If you're passing by, I recommend two options:
The Skewer with potatoes, a true local institution. The cooking is masterful, the meat remains succulent on the inside and perfectly crusted on the outside.
And the Stone-baked: Ideal for those who like to control their preferred cooking level right at the table. To accompany everything, there's a good wine selection; there's an excellent selection of local labels.
The restaurant is rustic, welcoming, and without unnecessary frills, just as you'd expect from a true trattoria.
The staff is very courteous, smiling, and attentive to every detail, even during peak hours. You feel pampered, yet discreetly so.
Excellent value for money.
Will we return? Absolutely, especially on warm summer evenings to enjoy the cool air and the garden.

"My husband and I were there last night and we had a truly wonderful evening. We tried the meat on the soapstone: I'd never done it before, and it was a really fun and different experience to be able to cook the food right at the table! Besides having a blast, everything was truly delicious. The atmosphere was made even more special by the live music, which was great entertainment and perfectly complemented our dinner. We'll definitely be back to try the other delicacies we've spotted on the menu. Highly recommended!"

Excellent service, friendly and helpful waiters, quick and punctual service. Delicious food, from the starters (always seasonal and fresh) to the main courses (perfectly cooked fillet steak). Highly recommended!
