02/06/2025: One of the best meals I had in Italy and I didn’t expect it in Positano since it’s so touristy. Just fabulous. I had the catch of the day which was sea bass. The bread was delicious as well. The desert was also one of the best I’ve ever had. I highly recommend walking up to this restaurant. You won’t be disappointed.

Alessandro, el propietario de Hosterio Il Brigante, fue un gran anfitrión y las recetas eran clásicos de la región. El ambiente y la comida nos hicieron sentir como si estuviéramos comiendo en su casa.

09/05/2025: Exceptional food, it is an excellent food house. Very good homemade food. Quality wine. Great find in Salerno near the cathedral. You can't leave the cafeteria further down on the corner. Left-wing environment in which I feel comfortable.

The professionalism and friendliness of the guys who served us was impeccable, especially the guy who recommended the wine and the only girl who served us The food was a continuous discovery of colors, smells and flavors that amazed us with every dish The philosophy by which you use all of an ingredient but in different forms to create a dish is excellent To conclude the experience, the walk in the park is the icing on the cake A thank you to all the staff ...... super

27/04/2025: Sempre guidati siamo stato in questo caratteristico locale, dove abbiamo mangiato piatti tipici della cucina campana, alcuni dei quali non assaporavo da tempo. Il titolare che ha personalizzato il locale, con una attenta scelta dei prodotti e vini proposti di qualità eccelsa. Un piacere per il palato che lascia il segno a chi ama questo tipo di esperienze. Calore e simpatia completano l’esperienza che consiglio e spero di ripetere alla prossima occasione che saremo da queste parti. Complimenti!

26/04/2025: Cena di coppia. Abbiamo trovato questo posto su internet fidandoci delle recensioni. Siamo rimasti più che delusi. In primis il servizio. Abbiamo scelto in totale 3 piatti tra quelli esposti in vetrina, li scaldano palesemente a microonde e ce li servono. Nulla da dire sulla modalità ma innanzitutto non erano ben caldi e soprattutto dopo pochi secondi il terzo piatto era gelato. Nulla cambiava se avessero aspettato a portarci l'ultimo piatto ma eviatavomo di mangiare con l'imbuto. I piatti sobo risultati pesanti e molto conditi. Va bene per riempire la pancia con l' unico vantaggio di spendere poco.

12/05/2025: We ordered a seafood salad and it was tasteless, then two anonymous seafood risottos, then, still hungry, we ordered a margherita pizza and it was good. the waiters were nice.

07/05/2025: Absolutely amazing family owned authentic Italian! Seafood pasta & risotto is out of this world. Fantastic appetisers. Gluten free options, the mother of the restaurant is GF. Lovely staff- and great drinks. 10/10 ❤️

07/05/2025: The love and dedication for one's work shines through from every corner. Angelo's welcome makes you feel at home, the care with which the service is carried out is excellent. Almost all of the foods are indigenous and produced on their own farm. Tasting the gastronomic journey you can savor a wide variety of dishes that are tasty in their simplicity. The fresh pasta is delicious. The meats are chosen with great care. A place definitely not to be missed.

07/05/2025: Family atmosphere with excellent service, kindness and hospitality, excellent and "homemade" food cooked very well. I recommend it even if you have to make a small detour from the highway it's worth it!

03/06/2025: Never again! I had the mixed fried fish dish as a main course. For 18 euros I would have expected to have eaten well and sufficiently here.. I got a bowl with a mix of calamari, squid and scampi. The portion was no more than a starter in my eyes. Moreover, the intestinal tract of each scampi was full of shit! When I made a comment to the waiter, he responded that it was their way of cooking.. I am not a picky eater, but I have never experienced this before. "the taste of Italy" is their slogan. An insult to the fantastic cuisine that the rest of Italy has to offer. Too bad, maybe find another chef? The only bright spot is that I got a free glass of wine as compensation.

02/06/2025: It is a very nice restaurant in the heart of the historic center of Salerno. The food is very good, excellent appetizers, divine and expertly prepared first courses; I recommend the spaghetti with red shrimp and the linguine with anchovies, peppers and fennel, winner of the Slow Food award. Very good second courses. Highly recommended!!
