03/04/2026: The location, right on the seafront, is truly charming, and the food is also very good. The reason for this negative review is because they were so "sly" by including two courses (squid and shrimp) in the mixed appetizer that weren't included in the price, charging a fortune for them (almost €60). It's a shame that a place like this has to resort to such cheap tricks to make money off tourists. Needless to say, we'll never return.

O' Cerriglio is a restaurant and pizzeria located at Via San Biagio dei Librai 13, in the heart of Spaccanapoli, one of the liveliest and most characteristic thoroughfares in Naples' historic center. The page you are viewing describes it as offering: traditional Neapolitan cuisine, fast service, family atmosphere, dine-in, takeout, and home delivery. The name "Cerriglio" recalls one of Naples' oldest and most legendary taverns, established in 1600 and frequented by artists, poets, musicians, and celebrities. The most famous was the Locanda del Cerriglio, remembered for a historic episode: 👉 in 1609, the painter Caravaggio was attacked and disfigured there during his stay in Naples. The current O' Cerriglio is not the same historic inn, but it inherits its name and popular tradition, maintaining an ideal connection with that Naples of taverns, art, and street life.

06/04/2026: So how can I remain polite and impartial...? This is one of the worst restaurants I've ever had the pleasure of visiting, despite my many travels, and I'll explain why. The staff is friendly, but that's where the friendliness ends. As for the food, I must commend the chefs, as their cooking is quite decent and tasty. However, the lasagna and polpette arrived still cold in the center, and we realized at that point that they had been microwaved. We asked them to reheat them, and two minutes later, they were still cold inside. We didn't insist, as twice we felt the fear of being spat on. We asked for still and sparkling water, and they brought us two bottles, which cost 6 euros, of tap water that they carbonated. At the end of the meal, we went to pay, and I took the liberty of mentioning two minor issues at our table... and then came the cherry on top of this culinary evening. The manager took our money and listened to my complaints. His response, in Italian, which I translated, was: "I don't care, I won't change. You're just a tourist, and that won't change me. Go pay and get out, have a good evening!" I tried to explain, but I was talking to a dishonest bear... he tried to make me believe I was the only one, and when I told him that several people shared my opinion, he laughed, looked at me, and told me to leave. A derogatory, arrogant character with no self-reflection whatsoever. I left, thanking the cooks and explaining that my comment was only intended to improve the negative aspects. They understood, with a knowing little smile. The owner, however, kept interrupting me. I left regretting that its staff was managed by such a self-important person with a deplorable and wretched character. The worst restaurant in Naples, in my opinion and that of my guests. Go anywhere else, IT WILL BE BETTER....

11/11/2025: We visited over the summer and ordered breakfast every day from Da Slama. They went above and beyond to ensure everything arrived warm, on time and as described. We couldn’t have asked for anything more! Would highly recommend.

08/03/2026: I give one star because I can't give less. After waiting about ten minutes to order takeout pizzas, we were told we could pick them up in 45 minutes, and were made to pay in advance. When we went to pick them up, not only were they not ready yet, but we were completely ignored by the waitress. After about ten minutes, I asked how much longer it would take for the pizzas, and the owner's wife replied that she would go ask her husband at the pizzeria, which wasn't true, since only after a further reminder did she decide to go and ask. After another five minutes, the owner, shouting at us from the pizzeria as we were waiting near the entrance with the utmost arrogance and rudeness, without offering any justification, told us that we would have to wait at least another hour and a half for the pizzas, which we had already paid for. Our options were to lose the money for the pizzas or wait. Forced to wait, a completely ruined Saturday evening spent waiting at a pizzeria for pizzas ordered at 9:15 and delivered at 11:30. Personally, I've never seen a person from the kitchen yell at their customers in a restaurant, and I would have expected at least an apology from someone for the inconvenience, rather than being glared at by the staff as if I were the one who caused the problem. Absolutely not to try unless you want to ruin an evening.

14/02/2026: Unfortunately, I don't come here often because I live in the north-central part of the city, but every time I'm on vacation visiting relatives in the area, I make every effort to stop by and enjoy what I consider to be the best pizzas in all of Naples and its province (or metropolitan city, if you prefer). This time, in addition to the pizza, we also tried the various exquisite appetizers (the photo shows only a portion), all delicious. And then came the pizza, a wonderful (capricciosa) pizza that our master pizza chef created especially for me and my wife, in the shape of a heart, as a surprise, given it's Valentine's Day. What can I say? Everything was amazing, from the delicious bread, to the best pizza ever, and ending with the excellent dessert. Not to mention the service, impeccable and incredibly fast despite the almost full room due to parties and group dinners. The people who run this charming and spacious place are extremely kind and helpful.

04/03/2026: Unfortunately I have to give a negative review. The pork, in my opinion, has been sitting there for days and days. It's not fresh; in fact, it smells bad in your mouth. A few years ago, they made it good. I'll never go back.

16/12/2025: The place is very large, the decor a bit run-down. It has a shabby feel, perhaps because of the low season. I ordered an octopus salad, a bit cold but not bad, but it was sparse; there was no celery, a few cherry tomatoes, nothing. Then came the scampi linguine, which was neither praise nor infamy, and a pre-packaged sorbet. Beautiful plating isn't enough if quality doesn't support the whole! Overall, I didn't have a bad meal, but the service was truly lacking and unprofessional. The quality-price ratio was very poor: €50 for a beer, an appetizer, and a first course; €6 for a commercial sorbet that costs less than a euro at the supermarket. And it doesn't end there: the bill was given on a slip of paper with no fiscal value, without a receipt. I don't recommend it.

30/03/2026: Excellent, well-seasoned giant sandwiches. Delicious bruschetta. The mixed meat platter is also good. Excellent selection of drinks and beers. Average prices. Excellent service and ample parking available with a free offer.

02/03/2026: Unfortunately, I had a bad experience. I ate a porchetta sandwich that had a distinctly altered taste and smell, as if the product hadn't been stored properly or had been left in the refrigerator for an excessively long time. After returning home, I suffered from diarrhea. Furthermore, the wait staff seemed unprepared, not even knowing the names of the sandwiches on the menu. The space is spacious and overall pleasant, with ample parking, but unfortunately, the quality of the food and the service were subpar.

02/03/2026: The portions were meager for the price, the fried calamari was dry and rubbery, it seemed reheated. The grilled fish consisted of three calamari rings, one prawn, and 30 grams of swordfish. The service was slow and rude. The menu only listed the ingredients in English, as if they were in Dubai! Who knows?

10/04/2026: We've been there several times, but each time is worse than the last. The food, in particular, is of extremely poor quality and even worse preparation. The food is served completely cold, amidst the general chaos caused by poor service. Avoid.

16/03/2026: My wife's 60th birthday party was fantastic. The food was delicious, rich and varied, the welcome was wonderful, the DJ was amazing, the music was beautiful, he made us dance a lot and, above all, all the guests danced. The photographer was excellent and always there to take photos. The waiters were knowledgeable and helpful, the bartender was fantastic, courteous and helpful. The owners, Monica and Danilo, were two beautiful, wonderful, helpful people, always present and, above all, ready for any eventuality or problem. The party was a great success, all the guests were still talking about it for days and days, even weeks after the party, posting photos and videos because they had so much fun, drinking excellent drinks and eating excellent food. The music was superb, the DJ was available and very good at understanding that the guests and the birthday girl only wanted to dance and have fun with various musical genres. Honest rating: 10 (I paid, they didn't pay me to say what I wrote, and I'm the birthday girl's husband). .... Thanks to everyone Antonio and Rossella
