We ordered two fried calamari and shrimp cuoppos for takeout. The quality of the fried food is truly excellent: the fish is decidedly fresh, perfectly fried, and very dry, not at all greasy. The portions are also generous, so much so that one cuoppo is practically enough to cover a whole dinner.
The only downside is the price: €15 per cuoppo seems a bit excessive, especially for a takeout size.
Overall, the product is of a high quality and the ingredients are worth it, but there's some room for improvement in the price/takeout service ratio.

The waiter came up and shook our hands and introduced himself! Despite him not knowing too much English and us not knowing very much Italian he made us feel very welcome and understood, even brought out the catch of the day to show us!! Loved it, maybe not the most perfect place if you don’t love fish but there are a few other options on the menu :)

The food at Il Dubbio is very good. The service, led by Giovanni, creates a harmony with the customers that makes the place pleasant as a whole. The menu is rich in tasty options, featuring a wide variety of small appetizers. The pasta dishes, as well as the fish—often displayed in the window—offer the opportunity to customize your meal to your liking.
The prices, however, don't always follow a clear logic, making the final bill rather "salty": this is the only real downside. The wood-fired pizza oven is also excellent. Another great quality at Il Dubbio is the helpfulness and attention to customer service. It's a place I always return to with love."

Excellent restaurant near the port of Castellammare. We ate well and sampled the local produce. The owner was very kind, explaining the dishes and answering our questions. The price was fair. Recommended.

The raw ham was excellent, the sea bream tartare was special, and the paccheri with scorpion fish were divine.
The warm welcome made the evening perfect.
