26/02/2025: Three important points to comment on Rifugio Orti: * Location: Located right at the exit of the lift, in the middle of the mountain and with spectacular views, it is perfect to arrive hungry and continue skiing. * Well-developed foods: The menu is broad enough to satisfy hungry athletes with a Gourmet touch, really good flavor. * Service: Young people with an extraordinary attitude who are there to give their best with a big smile. In short, it is a “must-stop”, when the weather is good, its terrace with music and spectacular views make the day perfect. On this trip (Feb 2025), Lalo surprised us since he has been there for several years and remembers us from previous visits, his joy is contagious and his service goes beyond expectations. This hut is a must see on our ski trips to Skirama Dolomites.

06/10/2024: On the occasion of the summit of the Gran Paradiso I stayed two days in this refuge, I'll start by saying that Marina, one of the managers, is a splendid, affable person who puts her customers at ease, absolutely excellent prices (half board 50 euros) cuisine good and plentiful with a typical rich breakfast for those who have to make a summit, an absolutely magical place immersed in the Pont valley with waterfalls, river and typical atmosphere of the Aosta valley, if I do the great paradise again this is where I will stay again

04/02/2025: The place is in a secluded position, in an industrial area... you go there on purpose and maybe not for the view... but it's worth it. Limited menu...but you know if the fish is fresh it's better to guarantee quality than quantity. The portions are satisfying and the recipes are genuine and tasty without frills... you can enjoy the fish. Pleasant service. Very good for quality/price. Dishes to recommend: tender and tasty grilled octopus, tasty and well-seasoned gransoporo linguine and mixed fried... real, dry and crunchy.

12/01/2025: From the reviews I expected something better, but I was disappointed, I ate an appetizer that I didn't quite understand what it was, it was more salad and rocket than fish, the first one was sufficient tagliolini with crab, and then a mixed fry, this too a disappointment. I don't know how the people who reviewed this place eat.

08/03/2025: During our stay near the lake, my partner and I, coming from Rome, had the pleasure of discovering an exceptional restaurant, booked through TheFork. The experience was nothing short of memorable, thanks to a welcoming atmosphere and a well-kept environment. Being a barbecue place, our attention was focused on the meat, which proved to be of superb quality and cooked to perfection, according to our preferences (rare). The restaurant offers the possibility to choose between three levels of marbling, with options varying daily. We opted for medium marbling, selecting a Scottish cut, as the Polish cut with the highest marbling didn't particularly inspire us. I would like to express my appreciation to the chef, whose kindness and expertise enriched our experience. He showed us the cooking technique used, which involves a grill specially designed to allow the wood smoke to adhere to the meat, giving it an intense and delicious flavour. A nice touch was the rosemary infused oil, which further enhanced the flavor of the meat. Although we had considered adding a side dish, we preferred to focus on the meat so as not to weigh us down. However, I highly recommend the starters, especially the bacon-wrapped tomino and the pecorino with truffle, both excellent. To accompany dinner, we enjoyed a local house wine, which won us over so much that we decided to buy it today. In summary, an amazing dining experience, which I highly recommend to anyone in the area. An unforgettable culinary experience on the shores of the lake: discovering an excellent grill Escaping from the Roman frenzy, my partner and I decided to treat ourselves to a short holiday in the picturesque surroundings of the lake. The search for a place where we could enjoy a special dinner led us, via the TheFork platform, to discover a restaurant that turned out to be a real hidden gem. From the first glance, the atmosphere of the place won us over: an intimate and welcoming environment, furnished with taste and attention to detail, which promised an evening of relaxation and good food. Being meat lovers, the choice of a grill restaurant proved to be the right one. The menu, focused on fine cuts and expert cooking, immediately intrigued us. The ability to choose between three levels of marbling, with options that vary daily based on availability, added a touch of originality to the experience. After careful evaluation, we opted for a Scottish cut with medium marbling, preferring it to the Polish cut with higher marbling, which had not particularly impressed us. The initial service was slightly slow but I overlooked it due to the friendliness and kindness. And anyway then he recovered 4. The food is great. A different seafood salad than usual, I was impressed by the balance 4.5. Good oysters but I'm not a connoisseur. A guitar string with clams. In my humble opinion perfect 4.5 stars.
