Ristobar Campeggio Obelisco In Trieste

ATTENZIONE 💥💥 2 Star camping with 5 Star heart ❤️ Ok Campeggio Obelisco is UNASHAMEDLY 2 Star camping. But when arrive and you are greeted personally at the entrance by Milena with a HUGE smile. You begin to think "Wow how cool is this place😎 ". We arrived Easter Sunday at around 18:00. The restaurant was closed. We went in and asked kindly if we might be able to have something small to eat. At first the answer was "hmm my staff has worked hard all day and has gone home"..but then Lucca, the owner said.."..ahh let me see". We actually received such a nice meal and super drinks with a friendly atmosphere. What could you ask more for?? We already fell in love with Trieste before going into the city ... Apropo : the view above Trieste from here is a view to die for if you know what I mean? SO...If you want to UNASHAMEDLY stay at a an Old School campsite with 2 Stars but with a 5 star heart then come to Campeggio Obelisco !!

Clean and well-organized campsite. Courteous and friendly staff. Excellent restaurant with delicious food. I recommend it.

Arriving out of season (on a gloomy Saturday in mid-March), I found the reception staff very kind and helpful, and they assigned me a pitch with a fantastic view. The amenities are modest but clean. The campsite is nestled in a high forest; it's true that the road to get there is narrow and steep, but it's manageable (though I managed to get there with my 7-meter overcab without any problems). Those looking for a sparkling, lively campsite with all the amenities will be disappointed. But those, like me, who prefer an enchanting spot surrounded by nature (sometimes wild), have found paradise here. Breathtaking views and tranquility reign supreme. The restaurant is modest but offers a decent selection of excellent quality dishes. The waiter is disarmingly kind and courteous. This is one of the most beautiful campsites I've ever been to (according to my standards of taste).

A fantastic stay at Obelisko. From the moment we entered the campsite the welcome and assistance from Melania was brilliant . This campsite has a top class restaurant with great food and the showers and toilets were spotless . We were a long way from Ireland but we will always remember Obelisko

We really enjoyed our stay here; the view was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. If we travel to Trieste again, we would definitely stay here again.

A truly Italian campsite. If you need space, this isn't the place for you. We were there in winter – at the end of December – and it was wonderful. One downside: fewer sunny pitches in winter. A huge plus: the on-site fish restaurant is fantastic.

Do you want to live in the woods among squirrels, hedgehogs, dormice and witches? This is the right place for you!

It's a very steep and narrow way up to the camp, so the biggest campervans will probably not get up to this camp. The camp and the sanitary facilities are... Rustic and straight forward to its tasks. We stayed one night in November, the services are limited during winter season.

We stayed two nights here which was the perfect location for visiting Trieste. We arrived in the middle with no advance booking and we were made to feel very welcome. We had the perfect spot not too far from a very clean and warm shower block! There appear to be a lot of permanent vans here and it seems busy but the site have some positive rules and regulations to ensure you have a good stay, including detailed instructions on how to get to the centre of Trieste by bus. We thought the price for two nights in the middle of November of €51 was good value as we had electric hook up, water and good amenities. There is a restaurant but we didn’t try it. If travelling in a van and want to explore Trieste we’d recommend this place!

Excellent old-fashioned family campsite. Warm welcome. Clean, hot showers and toilets. Good restaurant. No complaints.
