16/11/2024: I have been frequenting this pizzeria for over 12 years, always hoping that they will improve a fundamental element: the pizza dough. Despite the lightness of the base, the flavor is excessively salty, to the point of leaving you feeling thirsty all night long. This problem persists with both normal and wholemeal or kamut doughs, and it's a shame, because a small adjustment would be enough to make it really pleasant. I would like to underline that the staff is always very kind and welcoming, and the summer terrace is a strong point: fresh and pleasant, ideal for a quiet evening. However, the interior of the venue leaves something to be desired and there appears to be no effort to improve it. I find that there is great potential, both in the location and in the service, but a change in the dough and greater attention to the quality of the ingredients and the rest of the restaurant could really make a difference in enhancing the overall experience. I hope they take these comments constructively, for the sake of themselves and their loyal customers.

12/09/2024: We have eaten here several times, the service is always excellent, the guys are courteous, quick and clean. The fish is always of excellent quality and the dishes delicious. They have an all-you-can-eat formula for both lunch and dinner and you order via tablet. Highly recommended.

22/10/2024: A beautiful place but without courtesy service of biscuits or anything else in serving cappuccinos or coffee without having even given glasses of water, really nice ventilated terrace but I hope there are improvements, in any case on the completely absent courtesy service.

13/10/2024: Beautiful bar with an airy terrace, the only flaw in serving cappuccinos even if they are good - coming with friends, they don't give biscuits or anything else as a courtesy service, things that should come by themselves from the staff who bring them to the table. Otherwise an exceptional place where it's easy to find a parking space.

25/02/2025: And yes, I understood the "format" correctly, We wanted a hearty soup on a cold, windy day. The soup was good, but there wasn't much of it. Friendly service and family management, although the lady looked at us sternly while distributing our waste into the appropriate containers and ceramic soup bowls in the storage area. We wouldn't return, simply because we left hungry after paying over 22 euros for 2 soups, 2 small pieces of bread and a small bottle of water. The price seemed excessive for what we got.

23/01/2025: Di primo impatto bella atmosfera, arredamento casual vintage, musica piacevole dal volume accettabile per la conversazione al tavolo. Personale pronto e cortese. Lista dei vini piuttosto limitata. Appetizer fritti cotti senza molta attenzione risultati un po’ troppo “croccanti “. Buona e ben presentata la battuta al coltello. Piacevoli i ravioli al brasato. Cottura completamente sbagliata per la fetta di picanha : dura ed asciutta (comunque piatto economico e proposto fuori menù, probabilmente in cucina non sono avvezzi a prepararla). 31/03/2025: E' sempre un piacere tornare a Trieste per godere della magnifica architettura asburgica di questa città. Anche la cucina triestina, che si "muove" tra terra e mare, mi ha sempre affascinato, soprattutto il prosciutto cotto tagliato a mano. La trattoria Da Giovanni è stata una bella scoperta, ambiente accogliente e piatti ricchi.

26/01/2025: Il locale molto grande nel Carso triestino e un po freddo nonostante il caminetto. Si mangia discretamente , buona la jota e la lubiaska , insufficiente la tartare che viene proposta come una polpetta di carne macinata ! Il sevizio totalmente assente , hanno ci hanno portato le prime tre portate e solo dopo 15 minuti la quarta cioè la mia. Per avere il pepe e dell altra acqua ci siamo dovuti alzare e andare a chiedere nonostante i vari camerieri che non ci guardava e non venivano al tavolo . Prezzi nella media della zona .

21/12/2024: Ristorante con piatti tipici del Carso oltre ad una robusta scelta di carne alle brace. Qualità veramente ottima e porzioni decisamente large: in due non abbiamo terminato i piatti e abbiamo portato a casa una cena completa per il figlio. Un antipasto (cotto col kren) due primi (gnocchi al sugo d’arrosto e un tris di assaggi) una lubianska alla brace e un roast beef alla griglia, contorni mezza di vino della casa acqua e caffè. 50 euro a testa: ripeto prezzo corretto x la qualità e la quantità.
