09/01/2026: Mediocre sandwiches and a glass of draft cola for 6 euros!!!

25/11/2025: A classic, friendly pub with an excellent selection of draft beers—all well-known and respected brands. The food is excellent and plentiful!

13/03/2026: Was there last week. Lost my phone but the worker named Lucia kindly returned it to me, really thankful. Food is good and the location is nice. :)

03/03/2026: The food tastes the same as anywhere else, so nothing to complain about. Very crowded and chaotic place. Rude and annoyed staff. Extra condiments were paid for and not put in the takeaway bag (now also chargeable).

27/02/2026: Excellent coffee, very friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere—an oasis of good taste and peace in an industrial area.

11/01/2026: Everything is always good at this pastry shop; if it's always crowded, there must be a reason. This winter, even the outside area has a roof, so it's easier to find a seat, even with a coat on. Perfect for Sunday mornings.

07/11/2025: I had a pretty good lunch, but I didn't like the wine... honestly, it's not one of those places I'd recommend.

15/08/2025: The food and wine were delicious, from cured meats to cheeses and red wine. The owners were also exceptional and offered us tips for our visit to the Aurisina area. We returned several times during our stay.

14/12/2025: In December 2024, we were looking for a nice place for dinner and, by pure chance, we discovered "El Fornel." How lucky! We enjoyed fresh, freshly prepared dishes, accompanied by excellent wine and friendly, attentive service. Everything tasted authentically like home cooking, and was truly delicious. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Trieste!

20/11/2025: Lasagna is not worth more than 4 euros! Red wine has a very strange taste. Never again.

21/10/2025: Two delicious kebab dishes with fresh vegetables and salad, and a drinkable house wine. We'll be back, thank you very much.

30/08/2025: The pizza is excellent, a 10 out of 10 and that's the most important thing :) The rest can be overlooked (at least we can)!

I was there for a graduation and it was a terrible night: terrible service, rude waiters, completely watered-down cocktails, and a cramped space (if you have a place this small, don't take two or three reservations on the same night). I won't be returning and I highly recommend it!

21/03/2026: I celebrated my graduation at this venue, but unfortunately, things didn't go as I'd hoped due to poor communication and service. I wasn't told that another graduation was being celebrated that same day, occupying exactly half the venue. I wasn't told that, despite the other graduation being fully utilized, the DJ I requested was entirely my responsibility, even though he was already playing when I arrived (I promptly let them know I'd be late). He continued to play Spanish songs that I didn't like for much of the evening (I actually told him twice to play more singable songs). The only people dancing were the other girl's group (who, incidentally, were positioned RIGHT IN FRONT of the DJ, while I was off to the side, near the bathroom). I should also point out that I wasn't put in touch with the DJ beforehand, even though we'd spoken on the phone, and as a result, I wasn't able to make any specific requests in advance. When I exceeded my budget, rather than informing me, the GUESTS were notified, even though they knew full well who I was (see the crown) or who they should have contacted instead, given that my sister repeatedly went to the bar to ask for drinks: an attitude that I consider shameful and that made me very embarrassed. What I ordered, among other things, carafes of Aperol Spritz and Hugo, was of poor quality and completely watered down. For these reasons, I am reluctantly forced to advise against this place, which greatly disappointed my expectations on an important day for me.

20/05/2025: Typical Roman cuisine. Generous and excellent portions. The carbonara is recommended. The owner, Enzo, is special; he makes you feel at home! 🏠

24/02/2026: Our favorite place, we feel at home here. A welcoming and very well-kept place. The staff—there's no word to describe it—are attentive to every request, friendly, kind, and above all, always smiling. The cuisine is special, with fresh seafood, and it shows in every dish the chef prepares. A wide selection of wines, from local classics to those from beyond the region. The bar is well-stocked with every spirit. I recommend going because your taste buds deserve it.

22/02/2026: The atmosphere was lovely, and both terraces overlooked their respective harbors: the local harbor and the industrial port. The food was good (after a 1.5-hour wait, it tasted great!), and the antipasto platter was excellent. I didn't realize that in Italy, one of two glasses of wine could be undrinkable and the next not very good. The service was okay, not impolite, but a bit rough around the edges – perhaps the local culture has rubbed off on them.

If you're looking for authenticity, traditional food made with love then you're at the right place. The portions are HUGE and the prices are okay. I loved every second at this place. Truly a hidden gem🥰

08/03/2026: With no doubt the best spot in town to have either aperitivo or after dinner drink. The selection of bottles and on draught beer has no comparison and so their quality. Prices are more than affordable. Inside is pretty peculiar and outside there are many tables but mostly full. Not for those who look for chic places but for the ones who seek for good cocktails.
