It's a "cantina" (a type of informal eatery) where you can choose from more substantial dishes on the menu, as well as vegetables and breaded meat from the counter. Very typical; you can tell the locals come here to eat. There were five of us, and it only took five minutes for a table to be freed up for us. You can hear the hustle and bustle of the kitchen, but you can still have a conversation. Very friendly staff and fantastic food. Plus, the prices are very good. 100% recommended!

I'm not usually a fan of cooked ham, but when I arrive in Trieste, it's the first thing I order. This year, I discovered this new place and absolutely loved it. Excellent value, and the staff are super willing to satisfy every desire. I'm sorry I can't post photos; I couldn't resist!

The lasagna was very good, as was the pasta and everything else I ate. The place is small but practical. The noise is a bit loud,Very authentic, but the smell is a little bothersome, and the employees are very friendly

Typical Trieste cuisine off the beaten path. Excellent food at reasonable prices. The Gildo Imperiale boiled meat platter (for two) is a must! You can even get a meal for less than €20.

Whether you're stopping for a drink and a sandwich at the bar or a simple but hearty meal at a table, you'll experience a little bit of Trieste's soul in the flurry of activity as plates are swung and local workers chat during their lunch break.
