We ate very well, even though the place is small. We didn't have to wait long for a table. We enjoyed authentic Trieste cuisine, plus a fantastic strudel with warm cream. We'll definitely be back before we leave.

Very unique Place. Lots of authentic East Italian dishes which are pretty savory but sooo lovely to be enjoyed with some Wine. Tried All the good small stuff and where truly overwhelmed by the difference to Italian cuisine from other regions but nevertheless very delicious.

It was so good we went back the next day. We were in Trieste for a short stay, and we stumbled upon this place by chance to try their sandwiches. We were pleasantly surprised, especially the cotechino sandwich. Highly recommended.

It's a small place, so it's hard to find a table, but it's worth a visit even for takeout. The porcini sandwich was delicious, the meat was so tender. The mozzarella in carro (fried mozzarella) was delicious, and the fried food was barely noticeable. For a sandwich, a nice large mozzarella in carro (only €2) and water, I paid €8.50. It's hard to get anything good these days for that price. Highly recommended!
