Despite its out-of-the-way location, among Trieste's many historic gelaterias, it's still one of the best and my favorite. I recently returned, after over half a century of absence, when I was taken there as a child, almost 70 years ago. Now I take my grandchildren there. What a pleasure to find gelato of unrivaled quality and market-leading prices. Unfortunately, there are so many other mediocre gelaterias out there that align their prices with the best without even a hint of the quality found here.

Really good ice-cream and surprising flavors. One review said to try the pear and cinnamon and I did and everyone else should too, because that was out of this world delicious. I also tried the pine nuts one and trust me, it will surprise you in the best way possible. Highly recommended.

We had a melon milkshake and it was delicious. We also saw ice cream flavors that we'd definitely like to try next time.
