We had lunch today, nice place, fast service, highly recommended for the very good food, fair bill.... I had a small inconvenience with my fish, they were nice and remade the plate and also offered coffees at the end, what can I say, compliments...

The food is good and tasty, with good options. There isn't much choice for celiacs, but the polenta with stewed cuttlefish is good, as is the Pep's appetizer.
The service is very efficient, and the woman serving is truly knowledgeable, professional, and friendly.
The atmosphere is nice and welcoming.

We were only visiting Trieste for a few days and were lucky enough to discover this wonderful restaurant. We ate different dishes on different days, and everything was excellent! The wine was also superb. One evening, my bottle was corked, which I politely pointed out. The waiter reacted very professionally, tested it himself separately, and then opened a new bottle. So I was still able to enjoy a very good red wine with my meal. All in all, a pleasant experience. We'll definitely be back!

The menu is small but excellent. We had a shared appetizer and each ordered a main course.
The portion sizes are good. If you're not very hungry, you might want to consider ordering just your appetizer or just one main course.
Unfortunately, the waiter seemed a bit distracted. Our order wasn't taken correctly the first time. Then he brought us the wrong drinks. After some time, he returned and took our order again.
Overall, it was okay. But for the prices, we expected something different.

I was looking for a place that combined traditional seafood and meat cuisine, and Osteria Pep's was a wonderful discovery just steps from Piazza Unità.
We tried the spaghetti alla busara, and it was perfect: flavorful, with a well-balanced scampi sauce, and perfectly cooked pasta. The gnocchi with goulash were also excellent: tender meat and potato gnocchi that soaked up the sauce perfectly.
The place is welcoming and well-kept, and being close to Molo Audace adds an extra touch of charm to the evening.
Friendly staff and reasonable wait times. Highly recommended!

A welcoming restaurant near the Rive and the center of Trieste. Nicely decorated, interesting menu, excellent ingredients. Kudos to the chef: creative and with decades of experience. We loved everything! Especially the food. Good service, but perhaps room for improvement. Recommended! :))
