13/11/2025: We used to come here often, but now we've changed our minds: the portions are once normal and once very small, we don't know why 🤷🏻‍♀️ You have to order three courses to be satisfied, no way!

10/05/2026: Sunday lunch. The restaurant was recently renovated. Very charming, it has plenty of tables, including outdoor seating, in a beautiful part of Trieste on the banks of the Canale Grande di Trieste and adjacent to Piazza Ponterosso. Inside, the atmosphere is that of an authentic South Tyrolean beer hall. The dishes are well-presented, plentiful, and at least the ones we tried were very good. The prices are overall reasonable. The menu is very varied; I'd call it a place for everyone.

02/05/2026: Pizza is okay, you can really smell the tomato sauce, the dough is hard to cut, and those knives aren't for that dough either... we had mixed with anchovies and gorgonzola...

04/07/2026: The service is awful. It takes them 15 minutes for anything you ask. They messed up pur order (despite the tablet ordering system), they brought the food without any plates and then no one showed up for 20 minutes. Everything is brought to you by a different person. No one checks if you need anything. They asked if we wanted a drawing set fot the kid (their idea), we said yes, they never showed up. Incompetence at an unacceptable level for Italy. The food is ok (not fantastic) so if you must eat here, arm yourself with patience and low expectations.

06/08/2026: I've been to Mr. Crowley's and had a truly excellent experience. I ordered a burger with cheese, bacon, and caramelized onions, accompanied by crispy fries, and everything was truly delicious. The bun was soft, the meat was perfectly cooked, and the ingredients were fresh and well-matched. The place has a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The service was fast and the price was excellent. I'll definitely be back because it left a great impression on me.

25/02/2026: I visited Kayo Sushi in Opicina, and the experience was overall positive, though not particularly memorable. It's a restaurant that does its job and can be a reliable choice when you're craving Asian cuisine without too many gourmet expectations. The restaurant is neat and clean, with the modern and functional decor typical of contemporary fusion restaurants. Nothing particularly spectacular, but a pleasant atmosphere that's a pleasure to be in and conducive to a relaxed dinner. The attentive and organized management is evident, even at the busiest times. The management is Chinese, as is the case with many sushi restaurants in Italy, and the menu follows a fairly broad fusion approach. The menu is varied: sushi, sashimi, creative rolls, but also ramen, poke, and various hot dishes. It's an offering that tries to please everyone and, overall, succeeds. The sushi is good. Well-cooked rice, fresh ingredients, and balanced combinations. There are no peaks of excellence or particularly surprising creations, but everything is executed with precision and consistency. It's the kind of sushi you enjoy and leave satisfied, but it doesn't linger in your memory for its originality or technique. The fusion portion is interesting but not exciting. There's a bit of everything: ramen, poke, and hot dishes, which broaden the selection and make the restaurant suitable for groups with diverse tastes. Some options work better than others, but overall the offerings are solid and enjoyable. You can sense a desire to offer variety rather than extreme specialization in a single area. The service is accurate and friendly, prompt when needed, and helpful without being intrusive. A functional service that complements the experience well and helps make it flow. In summary: good sushi, a wide fusion selection, a tidy atmosphere, and efficient service. It's not a restaurant that surprises or excites in any particular way, but it's a reliable place where you eat well and leave satisfied. Four well-deserved stars. A pass, without any fireworks but with good overall solidity.

Shaded outdoor seating, a fully equipped play area near the tables, delicious food, a children's menu (served very quickly), and the icing on the cake: farm animals to visit before leaving. Highly recommended for anyone looking to spend a relaxing and safe Saturday or Sunday with family or friends!

06/11/2025: Dropped in for a spritz and was peckish. So asked for an antipasto tray. This is what arrived and every item on it was so delicious! A must try if you are in Muggia. It’s an easy ferry trip from Trieste.

09/08/2026: I ordered four pizzas, a calzone, and a pinsa to go. Besides the extra time I waited when they told me it would be 15 minutes, the sfiziosa (a typical Italian pizza) that promised pistachio and mortadella cream had the mortadella a strange color, a layer of oil, and the pistachio cream was completely nonexistent. When it came to the bill, I found myself with a 50 cent surcharge (for some unknown reason) on the Pesek pizza and a 2 euro surcharge on the prosciutto and stracciatella pinsa compared to the menu on their online page.

11/08/2026: The best café in the area, no doubt about it. Good music, good service, very good coffee, and very good food products like croissants and sandwiches. A good place for an aperitif, a nice terrace, and good conversation. It's also important to note that they have soy milk and a wide variety of Lindt and other chocolates, but the most important mention goes to the music—always quality, varied, and tasteful. GOOD EVERYTHING! More than professional service and always attention to detail, even the coffees. The most beautiful coffees I've ever been served...

06/08/2026: I've been to Corner Café Trieste, and it was a truly pleasant experience. The modern, welcoming space is perfect for breakfast, a coffee break, or an aperitif. I really appreciated the quality of the food and the care with which it was served. The staff was friendly, professional, and always available. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, inviting you to linger. A place I'd happily recommend and will definitely return to.
